I had been a pretty loyal Mezco guy but recently found myself selling off a lot of my collection. They still have some pretty good pieces but I preordered this on day one and when it finally came, I was insanely let down by this set. I can't believe we live in a time where third party makers are doing these way better. The vtoys "steel justice" and a manipple head sculpt gave me the definitive 1/12 scale Henry Cavill superman, It looks like a mini hot toys. Something I was expecting from Mezco. Now I mostly look forward to third party stuff...
Yeavthe skin tone were off and none of the sculpts are that impressive. I will keep them because I am hoping for some amazing head sculpts from third party to make them all better lol. I was so looking forward to the flash too and the body proportion is just so off unfortunately
@@consigliere6568 are u posing him as a group with other justice league members from different companies? As far as range of motion I say both are very good. If you don't plan on modding later on then probably mafex. And it also depends on whether you care to see exposed joints or not. Body proportion I think mafex is more realistic, but if you plan on posing with mezco batman then you have to go with mezco since they fit better together. Head sculpt on mezco is not good at all and color is too orange for skin so I am planning to use third party head sculpt to make the mezco better looking. But if you just want one straight out of box and display and no mods then go with mafex imo.. let me know if u need further assistance
I absolutely love this set, I used to be a mezco hater and always passed on their figures but now I enjoy collecting their stuff. Everything about this set is a 10/10 to me pretty much. Thanks for this review, great work as usual!
I always get mixed feelings when it comes to mezco figures. they always look great, you can see the company invested time and money in their products but something always feels off, like it's misplaced or one twik in the figure and it would've been a really top notch and everyone would get them.
Yea I feel like usually it's the body. The body proportion is just off and throws everything out of proportion. Thank goodness we have some third parties who are willing to make better head sculpts for these figs too
I was/am? a big fan of Mezco, but since the 89 Batman ive had a bad taste in my mouth with them, and this set did nothing to blow me away. Superman's feet are WAY too big, Flash's lack of upper body articulation is disappointing and i expected Batman's suit to be fabric, not the plether. Not sure if i will keep mine or not. Im still holding out hope for Fantastic Four and Dr. Doom. Those are probably my all time favorite Marvel characters so i hope im not disappointed.
Oh yea I didn't realized they completely changed batman suit...hmmm now I am even more disappointed by this set. I feel like the only good figs from theirs are their own ip stuff. All the movies and comics tie ins are all kinda meh
hello, excellent review,!! one question, to fix batman's belt, how long did you heat the figure with the hair dryer? and approximately how far away did you place the hair dryer? by the way the material of the suit resists that heat?
Roughly about 4 inches between the hairdryer and the belt. I heated it for about 10 secs or so but don't focus on one spot tho, move it around the belt. And after that I actually slide through a metal plate between the belt and the suit just to make sure no material is stuck. Make sure u use something smooth no hard edges or else u might cut or tear the suit underneath
Batman looks nothing like the promo shots. False advertising. His suit is shown as fabric. Looks totally different in the final product. Flash is also shown to be more articulated. Glad I passed in this set.

Which one is better figure for zsjl Superman 1/12? Mafex or Mezco?
