MaDFroG, thank you for coming. It was something special to see grown up idol of my early years playing my favourite game. I was your huge copy-cat (the ghouls&gargoyles before destroyer spam meta period) don't feel sorry for that. You got talent and now you got family, gz with that development! Don't be sad panda, man. I love how Grubby acknowledges MadFrog’s accomplishment despite their differences when they were younger. It’s called respect. Those two games were definitely one of Grubby’s.

Poor Madfrog :( he literally doesn't even own a computer anymore lol the only computer in is house is his daughters which she mainly uses and with the limited time in a day that he has and the amount of family responsibilities he has he doesn't spend his time practicing and hates playing WCIII badly. He only came to the tournament because he thought people would enjoy it, he really was not happy about it. I only know this from Grubby's recount of his conversations with MadFrog at the tournament

Some of these guys stream on twitch, I watch Grubby and that's where I heard this particular tidbit lol on his stream after the tournament.
Sounds like a load of bullshit if you take money to do something you're instantly considered a professional should've trained or just just admit he got outplayed

No haha but I'm a big grubby fan and watching this match and interview and seeing how uncomfortable his opponent was piqued my interest. So when grubby brought it up in his stream afterwards I payed attention to what he had to say

Grubby was a great choice to cast this event, but not to play it. Come on, we are happy to have him play actively for quite a while now, he's in a great shape, while these other legends are like brought from the past by a time machine. It's really not fair.
Denislav Dankin are you kidding? Grubby shouldn’t even be playing in this event against the likes of Happy and Lyn who are in a different league to him. Do you only watch grubby’s streams and no pro players or something? Grubby is not even close to pro level. The only reason he did so well here is because mad frog hasn’t played for like 10 years. The one time grubby participated in a tournament again recently he only won one map and lost like 7 against third tier pro players that nobody had heard of
blademaster broke this game completely. Just imagine that bm is in tavern. Its will all about bm vs bm in all matchups in all solo and all types of team games

Madfrog is really nervous. Looking down, looking to Grubby to take over the conversation, short answers, shaking his legs etc, voice cracking. Grubby is probably the most outgoing wc3 personality i've come across so far, along with Tod! :D

When did Grubby officially finished his carrer in 2010 or 2009. And what tournament was his last or something around last you remember? He was the greatest. Lyn started to be great in 2008 and Grubby in 2004 alredy.
He really didnt end it, 2010 he quit professional Warcraft 3 to play professional Starcraft 2 and then ended that in 2013, but 2014 he started his twitch channel were he streams now heroes of the storm on weekdays and warcraft 3 on weekends.
So i would say he never was away, he just shifted prioritys.

He just remember that UD sucks when played amateur like... This isnt hardcore level like years ago... Orc has a super high winrate against Undead and well.. grubby also never really leave the game.

Early game in game 1 went quite good for frog Neo? In which universe? Lol. He lost a fiend, got SH cancelled(after pulling all 3 ghouls off wood to attack lvl3 bm lol), got creep jacked and had item stolen, and was able to burrow creep the goblin lab and get level 3 bm and expo up ALL unscouted and unharassed.. Orc definitely had the better early game, frog only got level 2 dk and that's it. He didn't even know Orc had expo by the time he quit lol.
madfrog always takes 5sec to react every time, is it the lag or is he really that slow
After madfrog anwered about "what are you doing in life" there was this awkward silence. Having a family and going to job every morning is good and nice but not really interesting I guess. :P Though some people would say he grew up.

hahaha no way in MadFrog prime no one can match him, he make evolution of pro gaming , he is the godfather ! Even Sky said in dokumentary that, he said that MadFrog was the smartest and best player, the guy stop playing warcraft in 2004 dude...

lots of basic errors from MadFrog. I'm sure he was a beast back in the day, but he clearly hasn't played much - I mean, his base build didn't even block his acos off, that's a rookie move. poor guy got obliterated
he was the best in the beginning and had the highest earnings for a while then he just quit and hasn't played in almost 15 years and now he's getting back into it again

Early game orc vs ud - fucking imbalanced. Don't tell me it requires great skill to humiliate an undead in early game.
Late game Orc vs Ud however is much better for UD. that's the balance
No shit. UD barely with any units late game they never get to upgrade fiend and all their units remain squishy as the beginning. Blademaster gains level throughout the game his one hit potential on fiends/statues grow higher and higher and survivability by levels of shadow shaman's heal power. Don't make me laugh.
whole of UD army have to kite and dance around like HU only their base also happens to be as vulnerable - late game - unlike HU and their economy always scrabbling every penny nuff said
It's definitely not balanced but a top-shaped UD like 120 or Happy would fare out a lot better.
very late game ud is good and if team too but this is 1v1 small/mid map orc op

IT was quite ridiculous if you ask me, to have Grubby who has been streaming Warcraft 3 forever, go against the past legends like Tak3r and MadFrog and Insomnia, there would be no way for them to have a chance. And the funny fact is that he was to competitive going against those guys, he really wanted to make sure he is the ONLY living war3 legend to date. He is pretty funny, isn't he?

Grubby is trained he is streaming games but frog not so its normal grubby kill frog easly. I think tod is tsteaming too atm so if Tof was there he could kill grubby i think. Could be good games.

Lol I feel sorry for frog. Quits game due to Orc Imba, comes back ten years later and it's still just as Imba and it's STILL grubby who's Orc laming him still haha. Least grubby isn't using tower laming and camping base like their last showmatch.. Iirc, it was wcr showmatch. Well at least not yet where I'm up to(halfway thru game 1). Guess it coulda been worse and frog could of vs'd a human tower/tank lamer. Sad how blizzard didn't bother to nerf that shit at all, along with nerfing the panda..
I'm guessing that if grubby loses a hero or starts losing he will 100% tower lame to get the win. Already expo'ing in their first game and avoiding a micro game vs frog even tho frog doesn't play anymore lol

if your actually not familiar with warcraft 3, its never had a competitive scene, its was always a 2 race game the winner of which was decided by the recent patch not the best player in the majority of games... much like sc2 is
Lol this "match" wasn't even worth watching, in game 2 frog loses his dk instantly to ensnare/stomp/hex focus and gg's instantly before the fight has even begun. basically the same as game 1.. He just mass creeps and loses 2 acos and then waits for death haha
But yeh, I guess anyone with any semblance of intelligence knew that this was gonna be a rape.. Just didn't expect it to be THIS one sided. I hope that frog didn't get paid to play these games.. Put zero effort into it at all :(
Lol frog lost 2(!!!) acos to a pair of level 1 wolves during tier1 in game 2 on TR. that's all you need to know about frogs current lvl and how much he cares about winning.. Zero fucks given whatsoever. :(
Losing 2 acos in early game as UD(or even 1 if it's during tech) is basically gg. Frog should have just quit then and there. If you're not gonna micro your acos then what's the point of playing on? If you can't even save aco vs lvl 1 wolves you have no business playing vs grubby. All in all, it was nice to see frog again, but he really has no place playing competitively anymore. They should have just got him to play 2v2 or FFA or something.. Or rather, they should of not allowed grubby to play since it's clear he's still active and he would have just walked over everyone else since the other invitees don't even play anymore. Grubby should have just commentated and they should have just let the old school dudes play each other in a purely fun game format.
