The Power Smart PSM2022 self-propelled push lawn mower is easy to operate in tight spaces even though it is a fairly large mower. This lawn mower has 3 cutting options (side discharge, mulching, and rear bag collection). The self-propelled PSM2022 is rear-wheel drive with large wheels in the rear. This mower also has a very deep dome deck design that works well for mulching. The single adjustment lever allows you to adjust the height from 1.2 to 3.5 in. to meet your varying needs for different grass types.
The 200 cc engine was fairly easy to start and provided excellent power. For the price, this is an excellent mower that was very impressive. Longevity is my main concern and we will keep this video updated in the comments as to how it performs.

I picked up one of these mowers sitting on the curb for trash/free a few months ago. One of the rear drive wheels had the teeth stripped out. My dad cleaned the carb and the mower started up without much hassle. I designed a new rear tooth piece that bolts into the rear wheel after cutting out the old gear teeth. Used it for the first time yesterday to mow a bit of the yard. I'm eager to see how the repaired wheel holds up :) My dad searched for the wheels and also contacted one supplier who said they were on backorder. That was many months ago now.
I just bought on of those units. Will not start at all. I have used mowers for years and my pre ious unit was a Toro easy start?, so why does this not start being brand new. I will try again tomorrow.
I just bought one of these for a friend of mine they were on sale $99 106 dollars brand new out the door for brand new push mower you can't beat that. The brand is powersmart. To me it seems like it's a Honda clone engine.
I was all amped to buy this tomorrow at HD, but looked at Amazon reviews and they trash it at only 48% positive 5 stars..then 20% 1 star. So, here I am.

Is the self propel adjustable? If not, what's the speed set to?
No not adjustable. Just let bar go going down hill. You learn how to maneuver it and for me it took awhile, it kind of threw me around at first so powerful. Says its for small yards, but NO WAY! Way too big for small yard, great for BIG yard.
the deck looks like the old toro recycler design before the vortex version.
Those wheels- like the Big Wheels of old, but realistically not operated on pavement all that much. I never use the self-propelled feature. I have an old Toro that I've had for a long time. I should probably change the oil again...

I have the newest Toro that I am testing. IMHO, a new battery mower is a 5 year purchase, unlike your Honda. As a battery push mower tester, my main mowers are all gas.
@@WorkshopAddict When I changed from my Gas Trimmer to the Electric Trimmer. Life got just a bit saner, no Gas or oil to buy, etc. Just charge the battery and go to work.

It jumk all plastic Even the wheels are plastic mine only lasted for a month and a half before it died
The lesson I learned is to buy all metal gas and oil lawn mowers
I'm not familiar with this mower who makes the engine.

With the lack of water growing grass is the last thing we should be watering . I’m sure in time california will add an extra fee like $200 extra per month if they see green grass . Might be in time they will just shut the water off if they see any grass . I think we need the water more than the grass anyway !
Grass will grow naturally in CA even if lawn watering was banned. People will still need mowers…

We have a s*** ton of water in Ohio but then again we have the Great Lakes right up the road...so........................
@@boosted2.4_sky did not know Ohio was in california? I said the water shortage in california . There are a lot of other places that are going through the same problems. Guess when people in california run out of water they can move to Ohio but when over run with all the people then Ohio might run out of water because out people wasting water .
