Had 30 seconds to change his mind but despite having no mana wouldn't remove mana shield. Forced death due to not enjoying the leveling obviously and was bested by an Arcane ONLY mage in the same spot.
Well you say arcane only mage in this case as if that was more of a handicap. Guzu doesn't use frost and in this specific case fire was useless, but with (almost?) all his talent points in the fire tree. Even arcane missiles he had no access to (although through his own mistake). He was effectively just a weaker version of the arcane only mage for this fight. The arcane only mage was at the same level but with his talent points in arcane talents like 15% mana regeneration active at all times, more damage from wands, more mana efficient manashield, less chance to have arcane spells resisted and a couple more things. He also had manashield rank 2, so that makes it more efficient as well. So not accounting for gear differences, the arcane only mage had an objectively easier fight.
Arguably, that doesn't even matter. He could still have pulled this off easily and he KNOWS how to pull it off since he watched Jampanos do it. He was in panic mode, and hes just... not a very good player lol. He could have blinked. He could have polymorphed earlier. He could have not put on mana shield (in what world would that ever make sense). He couldve kited better and not get stuck on the tree a bunch of times. Etc
@@diagonal_leg yeah, you're right. He did panic at the end, like most ppl would do, and mana shield doomed him. But it is also easy for us to be captain hindsight in the comments of the video of him dying.
2021 I played WOW for the first time and it was WOW classic vanilla. I can tell you the defeats I suffered to Nek'Rosh are still imprinted in my mind and the fact he attempted to solo this RAID BOSS amazes me.
Alright, you don't like to play casters I get it. How about this next challenge: Warrior SSF (at least you like to play warrior) - Deep Prot talents. No Fury or Arms talent until lvl 41 (i.e. only after Shield Slam); - No dual wield or 2h during leveling, only 1h+shield; - You have to tank every single dungeon you participate in; - Any stance is allowed at any time. No forced Defensive Stance. How about this?
Not done this as deep prot but have as fury/prot to 60, early to mid its fairly sustainable. The problem comes at late lvls when ur kill speed is extremely slow
mana shield removes your last mana so you cant sheep, evo to get mana and start sheeping, 0.1 sec away from getting the sheep off and then he crits for 280 damage :O Everything went wrong
Lmao this is why I never used mana shield ever, even in HC. Always confused me why ppl value hp more than mana for mage. It’s like great you mitigated 1 auto attack, now you can’t sheep, nova, or blink, frost barrier. Mana shield is garbage spell
Well because mages typically have a lot of mana and very little health. It's definitely not a garbage spell, but yeah if you use it without considering how much mana it will cost you it can easily backfire. It can save you many a times too though if you use it appropriately. It becomes a lot less useful once you get ice barrier, that is if you play ice, obviously. But yeah don't underestimate the value of not getting spell knockback, not getting dazed and most importantly not dying to otherwise lethal damage. All that said, when he cast it I could already tell it was going to be an issue, even just the 40 base cost he could have used better. That said he wasn't completely doomed when disaster hit him and his sheep didn't go off. The 1 tick of evocation brought him back up to 650 mana, about 230 for blink and 280 for another manashield blocking roughly 1 attack fully would probably have given him enough time to drop the leash.
Thematically I think it would be pretty fun, as for gameplay wise, I'm not sure. On the one hand it could help make the levelling less safe both before and after feign, but on the other hand losing your pet is for the most part just a huge annoyance cause taming a new one and getting it back to where your previous pet was is mostly just time a time gated thing. I'd still like to see how it goes, maybe it turns out much better than my expectation.
Elite orc who is immune to 80% of his abilities and renders every single talentpoint he has taken useless.... Is famous for killing players and still tries to solo him. Welp GoGo Pineapple druid.
As someone who recently levelled an ice mage in hardcore up to level 42, but previously only ever played mage in original vanilla wow with an arcane fire spec, I was actually impressed how good pure fire is for just levelling. I'd go as far as say that a pure ice build might actually be slower than a pure fire build for the first like 30 levels. Not quite sure when blizzard AOE farming really comes online, but single target ice only starts getting really good once you get decently far into the tree.
@@bloddlb619 okay think about what you said for a moment...okay so if you give any amount of thought to what class he's playing then you might understand. He still can abuse the ability to reset a fight whenever he wants which fundamentally breaks the entire game and any real challenge of hardcore. So for content makes sense like the only interesting thing about hardcore is doing hard stuff but doing said hard task on a class that breaks the game even with a handicap and still dying is pretty laughable.
