The fact we’re not allowed to use stuff like beauty products and parents do just bc we’re “their children” is the reason :/ makeup should always be available to all, it even and allowed for young teens alot of the time like wtf
Gurrlllll I’m Asian and I have parents. And idk how this is sooooo relatable but…. I would literally be in the shower for FOREVER because I was busy doing my makeup
The mothers: Wow, she's taking a long time these days with showers. Girls that age:👁👄👁(face full of makeup having no idea what to do since it wasn't coming off with soap and water)
I did the same thing! I did get some makeup of my own when i was 13 but that was just some very basic and natural makeup. I didn’t own an eyeliner so when i finally got one i didn’t suck as bad because i had had practise :D
I'm 14 and my mom says I'll only have my first makeup when I turn 18 And I think I'm good girl because I never broke the rule and still waiting to turn 18 But I can't call it "wait" because I'm not interested in it I'm more concentrated for my future career and study hard if I achieve my future career so I'll be able to have the best makeup from best brands 😌❤
Yo coming from an Asian family this is so true! My mom didn’t want me to wear makeup till I was graduated from school. She wasn’t strict about it but she would advice me to not do it. When I was a kid I used to be very curious about different makeup products because the things are forbidden for you spark the interest most lmao so I would try to rebel against here here and there. But at a point i became uninterested and started to think makeup is embarrassing to wear since I was surrounded by mostly males in my family. But for the past a couple of years my interest to learn how to do proper makeup has awaken in me bruh 🤣 even tho I still prefer myself bare faced most of the time. But seeing girls around me wearing makeup wherever they go has made me feel like I should too or else I’ll be looking ugly.
Omg I used to do this exact same thing as a kid!! I would leave the water running and use my mom's eyeshadow palette to do a "smokey eye" (dark eyeshadow randomly smeared over my lid) and I would then go into the shower to wash it off so she wouldn't see.
I really relate to this but I don’t do this but yea, I buy skincare for the first time which isn’t dove or some simple brand she shouts at me like I did something crazy and forces me to return it
I do it in school since my parents drop us off super early in the morning and then I do my makeup in the school bathroom with the least number of people in it.
That’s literally me. I always use to do make up with my moms make up. My parents used to be so angry that I’m taking so long to shower. But I don’t let the water run out.
I can relate cause i also have strict parents and my mom also didn't allow me to do makeup But i don't know why one day she brought me an eyeliner but she didn't want me to do makeup do what's the point of just using an eyeliner😂 so i used to sleep early and wake up at 5 am and do makeup and some days i even got caught and got lectures😭
I used to do the same thing but I would take shorter because my bathroom lock was broken so I would used all my mom’s makeup which was Estée Lauder too and then she started to notice all her makeup was getting lesser so she knew it was me cuz my sister was in china and she HATED makeup and my brother he hates it too and that means that it was me and she did not care cuz she thought I would stop after a while and I did not so she was so done with me using her makeup so now when ever we go to Estée Lauder she would get a second set of makeup just for me 😅
Literally what I did today, locked myself in my bathroom and borrowed my sisters makeup to practice T^T, my mom thought i was taking a long time to shower and poop and so I only do this one every blue moon. hehe
I did that too lol. Funny thing is I was actually allowed to use makeup. Just I couldnt have anything expensive. I had dollar store stuff while my mom had nicer stuff
I used to do that too but I would only try on her lipsticks cause I'm scared that if I do full makeup it won't come off after showering and they'll find out
its okay, its natural, and you know even people with perfect skin get pimples, but they get perfect skin from skincare so def look into your skin type and what products to use for it.
I actually need some advice 😭 i’m a teenager though my mom still treats me like a little kid. She told me straight to my face that she’d make sure i don’t wear makeup until i’m 21 because apparently it “ruins your complexion and gives you acne” (like i’m sorry it did that to her, but i’ve researched and as long as you put the right products in moderation and do skincare + cleansing, it shouldn’t be too bad) a few months ago I bought my first ever lip balm with my own money when I went out with my friends. today I found out she went through my drawer again and threw it away. ngl i’m actually so pissed because how is lip balm illegal to her?? not to mention hee makeup collection is really questionable and I genuinely wanna share the tips I learnt online and discuss makeup freely with her (I take professional art lessons too so to me makeup is a form of self-expression and art) I have no idea if I should convince her or not, and I have already saved $300 dollars for clothes (or makeup) but she’d never let me shop online either
My 🧠: That’s a lot of wasted water….
Yeahhh that what i was thinking

I rather my kid use my makeup than raise up the water bill.
