I really liked this story! I like that instead of the lies Diesel told about Henry being the same as Duck’s, they were instead lies around Henry instead. It doesn’t repeat itself. Also, I like that it’s Percy who manages to get the truth out about Diesel as I’d say Percy is one of Duck’s closest friends (along with Donald, Douglas & Oliver) and vis versa. I’m really happy to see the space between Dirty Work & A Close Shave filled (but now I want to see the gap between this story & A Close Shave filled with the other engines’ reactions to the crash!)
I know how Diesel got caught was different in the books but I love the idea of Percy being a hero and playing a trick of his own to expose Diesel and avenge Duck! Excellent Work!
Imagine if Thomas do that as well in a different story that took place between Dirty Work and A Close Shave so that he'II become Diesel's enemy for life.
I know why Diesel lied about Henry. In Dirty Work, Henry declared Duck would never make the trucks insult another engine, but he quickly believed Duck supposedly invented stories Diesel told to the trucks
Great adaption with that nice classic vibe too. This was a nice story as it finally explored what led up to the lies Diesel supposedly told about Henry. If Diesel had won the others over he didn't really have any reason to tell further lies but his own mistakes in the yard leading up the incident finally gave a reason. Diesel initially telling lies about Duck made sense as Duck wasn't entirely blameless even if Diesels own arrogance caused it. Ultimately Diesels inexperience of shunting in the yard with his complete refusal to heed advice from either Duck or Percy did him in.
Let's not blame Duck for Diesel's own deviousness, only Diesel himself. Maybe he likes telling lies so much that he continues it, even after Duck left and he won the engines over.
I sure hope Diesel learns his lesson about telling lies about Duck. And I hope Gordon, James and Henry learn their lessons about jumping to conclusions instead of knowing the facts.
Nice job, man! Really like the VHS effect you put on the video too!
Thank you, and you did an awesome job writing this story!
I think Reverend Awdry would be proud of you.
The Rev W. Awdry should add this story between Dirty Work and A Close Shave.
The Buried Truck writes a good story to fit between Dirty Work and A Close Shave!
You need a time machine to have this episode exist and Ringo Starr would narrate this.
#TimeMachine
And this is how it's lost episode or railway series of Duck and Diesel saga about.
That is a fantastic take on the story. This really is a great episode that could have fitted onto the TV series 😀.

Brilliant work! A great adaptation of a story that took place between the events of Dirty Work & A Close Shave.
