Hi, So my issue is a little bit complicated. When I turn on my laptop the display is just back screen. I can feel that LCD backlight is on around the screen but the screen is black when I connect it to an external monitor the display will work on that but the laptop screen still remains dark. Then I switch viewing mood a couple of times like Duplicating Display, Second display only and repeatedly pressing Window+Ctrl+Shift+B and after some time in the first try to 10th try the laptop screen comes to life. But after all the use if I put it to sleep for a few minutes and came back the issue will be back and I have to repeat all those steps. What I have done is try updating all drivers, re-install windows but no luck. I checked my ram information is shown correctly in the task manager. Do you think its a hardware issue or software issue?
I would like to thank you deep from my heart as you saved my time and relieved my stress by this video, i got black screen with power on and finally turned to be faulty RAM inside , cheers mate :)

Hey I have an alienware 17 r4 whenever I turn it on with the charger plugged in it turns on but the screen doesn't it makes a 2 beep sound I've replaced the ram since I had a ram issue now it's beeping 2 times after having it on for about 30 seconds
2 beeps on a Dell usually means a 'Parity Circuit Failure'. This usually refers to the Memory or the Motherboard itself unable to accurately read the Memory. If you have already replaced the RAM, then I would have to guess that the Motherboard needs to be replaced. Let me know if you would like any assistance with that. Could be cheaper than you may think :)
@@PC_Monkey ok so about the 2 beeps it's actually one a single beep, also when I was trying to connect the WLAN card antennas to the card one of them didn't connect properly as in it didn't click in the proper way could this be the cause of the issue?
@@rokybrglez3362 1 Beep is usually a DRAM failure of some sort. Perform the RAM check as shown here; ua-cam.com/video/7a7UKd8vna8/v-deo.html If that does not work, than the issue is again, most likely with your Motherboard :(
I've done the ram check it's still black screen so I assume that it's the motherboard, are they repairable? I've taken it to a computer tec he said that he won't replace it he will just repair it is this possible?
This really save me o, I was already scared I have to reput the ram but isn't working until I change it there position before it start working. All I can say is just thank you ❤
after all the research I found out that my HP Pavilion problem was my laptop screen so I ordered one from ebay and was able to fix my issue with my screen NOT displaying for about 5-6 minutes after display. I am all set now. Thanks
Thanks!!! This is an amazing guide. i cleaned my laptop and the issue was that the fan was spining full spead and no post. After first step i remebered to chek with 1/4 ram stick
Really nice. Let me add this, sometimes it is due to pre-installes bad video driver, that might has damaged the display, so in this case were ur screen start up normal but at the point of loading to Windows it goes blank, all u need is an external monitor, then go to device manager and disable display adapters. It will work perfectly

Hey, my HP notebook screen broke so I did a replacement myself. It turned on the way it normally did but then it gave me a blue screen error and gave me the stop code UNMOUNTABLE BOOT VOLUME. It needed to be restarted and the computer did it itself. I let it rest for a few moments but realized my computer has a blank screen after. I really need help!!
same problem dude can someone help
I have no words to thanks you😍😍

thank you for this. 1 ram was actually bad
Can you please suggest me a good ram for my HP ProBook 4440s
You can go to websites like crucial.com. They can scan your computer and see what RAM will be good to upgrade to. You can also watch this video if you wish to look yourself: ua-cam.com/video/NtCzunl0AQA/v-deo.html. Let me know if you have any question after that and I can try helping you find compatible RAM :)
Thanks so much! This has saved me! I replaced the battery myself and I thought I damaged the cable or something.. 🎉🎉

So when turn on my laptop everything seems normal. It turns on like normal and it takes me to my password screen like normal and after I enter my password and press enter, the screen turns black? I can see my cursor and I can move it but it's a black screen? And it's really weird because my mom's laptop started doing the same thing 2-3 days before mine and now my dad's computer is doing the exact same thing? I'm really lost here and don't understand why or what's going on? Any info would be greatly appreciated.
The same thing is happening to me ;(
OMG I JUST FIXED IT, I HAD A TAB OPEN AND THE TAB WAS BLACK, SO EXIT OUT OF THE TAB THEN THERE YOU GO ITS FIXED
You have people in YOUR home dude
Gaming
Aww man I can't do it cause my furniture has been moved around a bit cause we are changing the floor😭😭😭😭
If your computer starts but the screen stays dark, yet it displays to an external monitor, you need to replace the LCD or the LCD Cable
I would like to thank you deep from my heart as you saved my time and relieved my stress by this video, i got black screen with power on and finally turned to be faulty RAM inside , cheers mate :)

I was going to remove the back of the laptop when I noticed that the fan was still running. So I pressed the power button till the fan turned off . Just out of curiosity, I turned it on again and viola! It came tht it was setting up windows and after a longer than usual loading it was back to normal. Just saying for other laptop noobs like me
Glad your all set :) Computers can be weird sometimes
I do it all the time when my screen doesn’t come on.
Perform the RAM check as shown here; ua-cam.com/video/7a7UKd8vna8/v-deo.html
If that does not work, than the issue is again, most likely with your Motherboard :(
I've done the ram check it's still black screen so I assume that it's the motherboard, are they repairable? I've taken it to a computer tec he said that he won't replace it he will just repair it is this possible?
@@rokybrglez3362 There are different ways of repairing a motherboard. It is possible.
I'm here in 2024
Thanks :)
@@PC_Monkey you have helped me a lot today thanks very much
Thank you so much it worked. I just removed the two rams and place them back as shown in the video, then turn on my computer, and it worked

It was my ram, my HP display is working great now!
