Does this channel have a lot more advertisements or it just me?

I'm wanting an answer on this one to? I don't know why it would vs others, but im curious.

Yes I guess he needs the money it costs a lot to live on the road. I’ll watch the ads because trucking is a hard life

This particular video goes hard on adds, but not nearly as much as usually...no problem too me tho

    • @hewhohasnoidentity4377
      @hewhohasnoidentity4377 3 роки тому +4

The ads are based on the individual viewers behavior. If you haven't watched UA-cam for at least a few hours you'll get an occasional preroll ad and nothing during the video.
If you have spent a while watching videos you will get more ads. Eventually you will have ad breaks every 20 seconds.
Viewers can skip ad breaks by turning off autoplay, skip to the end and then replay. No ad breaks will play during replay.
Otherwise, I use UA-cam Premium and I don't get ads. The content provider gets a % of the revenue based on what I watch.

Thanks so much for the explanation. I knew none of this. The reason I get more ads on Schmidt, is because I watch a lot of UA-cam and particularly Schmidt. I like Schmidt and will continue watching. Just needed to understand. You have helped a lot.

Awwww the doggo is Soooo cute ! I love to see truck drivers with their pets. It’s so warming to the heart and makes me more at ease knowing they have someone by their side. Blessings to all those truck drivers.

Laredo arrgh.... haven’t been there in years and I can’t say I miss it. Lots of trucks, small roads, small docks, and everyone seems to be late for something. Or at least that’s how they drive. Stay safe, love the videos.

Awesome videos!!! I’m from Laredo it’s crazy due to all the crazy weather Texas had last week. The worst days are Mondays and Fridays a lot of traffic due to the fact everyone trying to unload and load those days. I do it every week. I get the same way. I complain at those drivers. Be safe out there.

Formerly drove for a big reefer company. I lived in Laredo and unloaded where you where at in this video. It was 116 degrees and very humid. They unloaded my reefer and another trailer into one mexican trailer trail. Their trailer was not a reefer and both were beef at about 42000 #. Was there 6+ hours. The mexican drivers were amazing and ask me come have lunch with them. Retired now but miss the culture there. In winter did many loads of cheese from Idaho to Greenbay across Montana then east, better than running I80. Thanks for your videos.

    I love your channel😎
I clicked on your Video bcuz you were in Laredo. I retired from driving for Stevens Transport out of Dallas who has a small yard in Laredo. You showed me a daylight version of Laredo I had never seen before. My trips there were always at night to Drop-&-Hook then head back to the Dallas Yard to Drop-&-Hook again.
Where you picked up your load & took the curved road before getting on I-35 is where the small Stevens Yard is located.
That was an awful bottleneck you were in earlier. I never saw anything so Crazy. How long did you have to wait to turn to the right?
Glad to have found your channel. Great Video!!!

maybe the traffic was heavier this time down there, because of the bad weather and distribution disruption ?? But that looked alot like like the warehouse parks northwest of downtown Chicago🙄🚛🚛🚛🚛🚛🚛 Does Opie like "Burrp'-ripttos"??? I imagine those food trucks down there are much better than McDonalds?? My cousin Jack worked in San Antonio, and he said the Tex-Mex was real good. Your truck doesnt look over 10 yrs old after washin it, with all that nice hot dry weather out there. Where you live in Iowa you friends get a heck of alot more snow than we do even with *Lake effect*. Thankyou again Mr. Schmidt...Be safe😁🖐

Back in the early 2000s I drove out of a terminal in Laredo. 250 trucks I was the only white guy dispatched out of there. It was interesting for sure, but I was a young adult in my 20s had a job and did it professionally. Always hated the traffic down there. Back when I was there it was a world of cabovers, so that at least made the wait interesting. Thanks for bringing back the memories!!!!!

Yeah, my many Laredo experiences, all crazy! But then it's Mexico pretending to be the US. There was a time, not that long ago, that if you were in Wichita, Kansas territory and south of the Arkansas (pronounced Our Kansas) River, you were in Mexico territory. It's just a bunch of lines on a map, eh? Ha! Yes, the food trucks are good. But the best thing about Laredo is LEAVING! Yes, hwy 75 is how I often get down there from Kansas and back when I go to Texas or Oklahoma. I've got friends who ranch N of Yates Center off 57 and it's very pretty country. Anyway, Safe travels, Schmidt!

It was crazy, all the trucks! We had come from our city where we live, usually a 9 hour drive to Laredo, it took 12 hours due to a horrific accident involving 7 18 wheelers that were totally abliterated by fire! It took us 3 1/2 hours to go 5 miles! We finally made it to Laredo where we went to get our first Covid vaccine! We are originally from the DFW area! Be safe out there! Oh yeah mile 13 in Laredo is the worst because of the train that always passes by causing all of the trucks to be backed up and also the lights that take forever to change and only last a few seconds also there’s a better truck stop that just opened up it’s just a couple of miles after you pass the inspection station for border patrol there’s a sonic there and the best part there’s no traffic jams

Yeah, I started planning my fuel and Necessities at the petro ex 101 I-35. Lose to much time on that ex 13, and ex 13 is getting worse and worse

The truck stop at Carl's Corner on 35E used to sell "Willie's Bio-Diesel"; but looks like its a Petro now according to Google maps. Used to be a nice place for lunch. Even had a music venue in the back, and heard that sometimes Willie himself would show up.

That’s the reason I like Laredo too, really feels like it’s relax time once the sun goes down and the food truck by the TA has decent food.

Not that l'm searching, but l don't see any other recent video of trucking in TX, and it's lit. The news in NY says TX is a disaster because of a statewide power failure, and you did not once mention experiencing disappointment because of the power problem there, "beautiful" video Schmidt

l saw a video from a TX hotshotter who says he lost power in one area for 15 minutes, but in another area there was no power for 3 days.

I haven’t been to Laredo in probably 15 years until last Wednesday March 3. I couldn’t believe how the town has expanded out into the desert and how many trucks were there. There were trucks lined up for 1/2 mile on each side of the highway to get off for the truck stops, unreal.
