This sit down was absolutely essential and inevitable for our show because along with giving out flowers in general, every now and again we like to bring in the people that deserve their flowers for their contribution to the UK rap scene. Season 5 Episode 6 (Fatherhood) saw us draw for the Legendary Rodney P from the UK’s first real road rap group “London Posse”, their debut album “Gangster Chronicle” having been voted as the most important rap album to come out of the UK. After Rodney broke down his life story so far, including his music journey, Spray put him through his ‘RTM Fire Round’, before getting into some ‘Current Affairs’ including Andrew Tate’s recent arrest and Loski getting found guilty. We had a break for some ‘RTM Banter’ then got into the main subject which was “Fatherhood”. The ‘RTM Dilemma’ and ‘Book Suggestion’ closed the show as usual with Rodney blessing us with three books he suggests we read. This conversation was so transparent and Realer Than Most so you know no stones were left unturned and one thing you’ll be sure to get from Spray is a bit of banter. You should get Chester P, farma G, Jehst, Mystro on aswell.... or any other lowlife artists. They'll tell a similar story of Lowlife and how the payments stopped, they didnt get told it was being disolved. All their music is still up on streaming platforms with 0 of the money being channeled to them. It all goes to all shell company called Free The Walls LTD owned by Joeseph Garnett Christie... Yes! I remember all of that, Farma G actually said that he saw Braintax abroad or got in contact with him several years ago. He said it's all water un the bridge now, Braintax lives overseas. What he did was really shady though.

It's sad to hear about this issue between Rodney and Skinny. Skinny is one of my favourite UK artists of all time. I have never met Skinny but I interviewed Rodney once and he was very polite as he really didn't have to. He gave me some great content for an audio documentary I created.

@@mountjarvis Apologies mate, I've stopped sharing the doc now and have taken it off the internet. I was really proud of the project and interviewed Rodney P, Doc Brown, Stretch (from Stretch & Bobito) and others. Unfortunately, one of the artists I interviewed passed away since then and there is a section of the doc where he didn't like one of my questions and it was a little confrontational. Since he passed it felt a bit weird to continue sharing the doc.

@@mountjarvis You're right mate. However, I've had a check and I don't know where the file is. I made it in 2017 and edited everything in Ableton, but that was on my old laptop. It was for my Master's Degree dissertation so when I submitted the doc, I also submitted some short clips that didn't make the final cut (they were around 2 minutes each and had very little editing). I've got 3 of those on my phone so can send you those files? I've checked and I have a 2 minute clip of Rodney P, a 2 minute clip of Doc Brown and a 2 minute clip of Rebel Kleff. The doc was about sampling by the way.
