I don’t know what’s funnier; the fact that Monk’s hatred for Julie’s gift allowed them to find the evidence needed to convict the killer, or the fact that it’s still playing despite being weighed down by all of that trash?
I love the way Stottlemeyer jumps on the guy and yells, "WHERE'S MONK!?" Plus, say what you will about him, but when push comes to shove, Monk will jump into the fray when someone he cares about is in danger or to get what he needs to serve justice to the criminal
I really like moments like these, when Monk overcomes his phobias and simply acts courageous and brave. It shows what a different person he may have become, had Trudy not been killed, which literally ended and pushed him back in his socialization by decades.
Sometimes they don’t even have to be his friends, that one time where one of the 11 jurors was being stabbed in the dead of night, this was before Monk knew who did it and it was a seemingly random assailant, Monk just rushed after the guy and tackled him.
Maybe it's because Julie has already lost one parent, but the fact that this man was willing to kill Natalie (even KNOWING she had a daughter) just boiled my blood. Good thing Monk was able to not only save Natalie, but also recognize the card's music But I like how Natalie describes the way Monk puts away the trash, almost like it came from a Roald Dahl book
True. SPOILER! I think a few of the bad guys in Monk did it not in a cold blooded manner such as manslaughter (in the dog episode and Monk’s middle school crush episode), hiding a corpse (wine tasting episode), sorry can’t remember any others haha But most are really really bad. I have a mixed feeling for death penalty but these guys (maybe) deserve it. A few that come in mind : the jury killing, captain’s wife shooter
Great scene, very funny with the card's music Monk hated turning out to be something he's happy to hear, but the funniest thing was the fight scene. Throwing fistfuls of loose paper noodles really puts the guy down like he's being legit punched, and 2:52 is just so hilarious to me. That's a pretty hokey kick, and the acting is so cartoonishly bad it's good.
@@IwishIcouldstayasleep4ever Right ! Lol..I have to say ...I would rather be around someone who is meticulous and clean (similar to Monk)(in every aspect) than to be FORCED to live in filth, stench, and squalor because money and other schemes were used as weapons to control. Let's imagine what Monk's house would look like ...
No one beats Monk in an awkward flounder fight. Put the two of them on even ground? There's a pretty good chance he'll be on the ropes until someone else manages to turn the situation around. Put the two of them on uneven ground in the middle of a pile of constantly shifting, tangling, paper ribbons? Monk is undefeated.
LOl Captain just leaps onto the guy "Where's Monk?" and Monk's covered in paper shreds, he was able to help save Natalie while being sick "You took a taxi cab?" "Yeah"
While both care for Monk, Natalie is less patronizing and show more affections towards him. Julie is also closer to Monk than Benji was, exhibiting a father-daughter like relationship. The arc towards warmer tone made the show more relatable in some sense.
I just thought about something. 3:47-3:56 Monk was THERE, so couldn't he have told Stottlemeyer and Disher that he saw Natalie tied up and the lawyer with a knife?
As Stottlemeyer pointed out, the guy’s a lawyer. Monk may have a lot of clout, but words alone without physical evidence isn’t good enough in court. What I’m curious about is why the killer was stupid enough to *not* wear gloves when he held Natalie at knife-point. She didn’t touch the knife, and fingerprints would be excellent proof.
I was wondering if any of the commenters would ask how she had removed the duck (a.k.a. duct) tape around her wrists. It's easy. Just pull your wrists outward and slam the arrangement against your knee. The duck tape flies apart as if it has been cut.
I read about this. This is what happens when people who don't win any prizes at all (no, not even a star sticker from teacher) growing up has to resort to to claim some sort of achievement/recognition. I don’t know what’s funnier; the fact that Monk’s hatred for Julie’s gift allowed them to find the evidence needed to convict the killer, or the fact that it’s still playing despite being weighed down by all of that trash?
Yeah, it was a ingenious element of the plot
Both...
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣so true
And now he can’t throw it out 😅because it saved his life and Natalie would be so pissed so he stuck outside
Or Monk brushing himself off during the fight
I love seeing Monk overcome his fears to save people he cares about.
Monk may have many phobias but when he fights he is really strong
I do love that side of Monk, such as launching himself over a desk to beat up that shock-jock mocking Trudy's death.
He was a cop so yeah
Or whem the dude was killing jurors.
Or Santa Claus.
he's able to function with that many phobias. when you motivate him to put them aside, you get the full force of monk!
I love that Leland's first question is “Where's Monk!?”
He knows monk is always in trouble
I love the way Stottlemeyer jumps on the guy and yells, "WHERE'S MONK!?" Plus, say what you will about him, but when push comes to shove, Monk will jump into the fray when someone he cares about is in danger or to get what he needs to serve justice to the criminal
I love how organized Monk is even when taking his trash out.
I think he might like to live in Japan.

3:23-3:36 That’s me whenever I’ve got something stuck on me.😂😉
I also love that Monk silently screams into his arm when he steps on that goo.😂
Is that what happened? I thought he was trying to stifle a sneeze.
It's a good thing they found the card with the rock and roll music and that it helped them solve the case.
Took a taxi in his bathrobe. All of Monk's phobias disappear when a friend's life is in danger!
Oh no, they don't disappear, he's just got the willpower to push through them. That's more impressive. They'll slow him down, but they don't stop him.
@@fallouthirteen True.
I think the last time Monk took a taxi was the earthquake episode to save Sharona? Except he was speaking gibberish because of an aftershock

Usually murderers don't care about the victims children.
The villain in the series finale so enraged Monk over Trudy that he actually attacked him and later threatened to kill him.
@@keithtorgersen9664 Indeed - it was the deepest cut of all.
The word "persnickity" entered my lexicon after seeing this episode.
Monk going to a recycling plant is one step above him going to the garbage dump!
Taking down the bad guy, wearing his bathrobe and slippers...more proof that Monk, is, in fact, a badass!
I’m impressed he was still able to fight off the guy despite being sick.
This is my one of my dad's favorite episodes.

There are bags of trash(some white so easy to miss) under all that shredded paper. Thats what monk is grabbing & hitting him with.Still silly tho.
Monk overcame his phobias this one night to save Natalie. This just shows he’s not the coward people think he is.
Nobody thinks he is a coward. They just think he is odd.
He's not a coward. No one thinks that. He once went into a sewer for her!!
@@deliagroer2613 I know he’s not a coward and I don’t think he is. He’s just very weird and fidgety and some might get the wrong idea.

It's ok to be scared, as long as you know when it's time to be brave.

Which makes Monk Sadness.
I'd peg Monk more as fear due to the OCD and phobias.
She had great hair, especially those ponytails! I didn’t care for this do.
@@jlglassett I liked when she grew it out to about shoulder length. I thought that was cute

I like how they hit each other with heaps of paper stripes. Are they trying to kill each other with papercuts?
It's more for distraction and lack of vision
Watch that scene from Spirited Away where Haku gets attacked by gingerbread-shaped paper people. Those papercuts are potentially lethal.
The lawyer’s claims would never work because his prints were all over the knife. Weird that they thought they had nothing on him at that point.
Love Monk and Natalie together. They are making one last new show and I hope they get married. I think Trudy would approve.
Me too. (':

I don't think the music chip in the card is recyclable. For shame, Monk, for shame.
