I heard her sing this song yesterday. I was close to her. It was so cool. I went with my dad. I talked to her after he songs. I told her that she is incredible:) and she said thanks. She performed around here in Clifton Park.
I have a story related to this song. I was in a store looking for a nice speaker to get. I reached the speaker section and there was this song playing in the background on 'Marshall Stockwell'. The whole vibes matched and it came to me that I need to get this speaker. I just went with it and purchased it. Best purchase ever 🥂
She's got that thing in her voice. You know? Like lots of people can "sing," like they can sing in the high school chorus and you're like "Wow, you can sing" but then they try to sing a song that's not from a Disney movie with that voice and it just don't work. She's got a great voice and it has that thing in it. I dunno. Like what Jagger has, or what Kathleen Edwards has, or whatever. That thing. I dig it.

That thing in her voice sounds like she has rocks in her mouth. But it's the kitschy affectation that is so popular amongst trendy alternative singers. Probably not so much different nor annoying that the country and western singers who have that vocal fry twang at the beginning of each line(see Garth Brooks). It would be a great song without the vocal tic. (Just my opinion)

The "IT" factor?
Yeah, like I don't give a shit if someone can sing, most of the vocalists that I love can't really in a conventional sense (Frank Black, Bob Dylan.) What she has is emotion, honesty and rawness in her voice and its fucking awesome.
This is one of those rare songs that I cant stop smiling to when I listen, its a beautiful feeling

Sometimes when I listen to certain female artists that embody RAD-NESS, or HIP-NESS or even PURE GROOVINESS I begin to make the assumption that women are the ones that really have this music thing figured out. April March, Karen O and Margaret Glaspy.....blow my mind
