Ang ganda ng translation mo. Hindi sya exactly word for word pero naman nalalayo ang thought. Most importantly hindi awkward.

great. this a very nice contextual version of mapa. since language can be rigid at times by putting exact word equivalent but by re-interpreting the lyrical content, this is an equally good english version.

you sing so well and translated so perfectly
While the song is good but a lot of translation contradicts the original for example on the chorus he says “I need you now”. In the original it doesn’t say he needs them now but rather describing how the mother is their eyes to the changing world and the father who are their feet, standing up even the facing the heavy burden of life. This singer has a voice but the translation needs work and needs to stick to the writing.

Yun lang talaga yung challenge; hirap lapatan ng tono kapag yung exact translation kaya you need to to change some parts talaga just to fit the melody.

my grandpa here's a true story so one I went to the philipines to meet my grandpa and grandma for four weeks we spend it together I went every where with him and he was the age 84 it was all fine the day I went on a boat ride then a plane to cebu for to days to meet my niece cousins and nephews I came back and still wouldn't stop crying 3 or 4 weeks when I came back and woke up at 3 am watching a funeral and I tapped my mum and said who's funeral is this and why are you crying she wouldn't stop crying about 5 or 6 minuets later she replied saying your grandad and my dad which means my grandad is her dad and crying really heavily like I've never done before and then they opend the casket to the coffin forcing me to look at my dead grandad not even to see him in person and after that day I learnt that sometimes you might think I hate my parents and say I can't wait to be a grownup and do what I want but it's hard don't say the always spend your time with your parents because when the time comes there dead and you realise what you've done so remember this and since that day I've been heart 💔 💔 💔 💔 💔 💔 💔 💔 💔 💔 💔 broke

Loved off my parents.
Translation is a more direct interpretation compared to the tagalog poetic lyrics. But the essence was still maintained. I like this englosh version better than the Ben&Ben english version (pop version) because this version maintained the Ballad nature of the sound. And the lyrics fits exactly with the notes and sentence stucture was not mangled... Vocals were great!

Thank you for making an English version of Mapa. Please, ask Sb19 to sing and record the English version of this song just like Freddie Aguilar with anak that it was sung in different languages. With the English version, the song in English can help people to understand what the lyrics means and what the song conveys to people in different countries. This is one of may favorite song since I am also a parent.

I'm glad to find the English version of MAPA cause when I was introducing #SB19 to my non-Filipino speaking friends one of them picked up on MAPA cause she loves the melody and the lylics (as translated in writing).
