Proud of you young buck 23 and got some sense to boot, dad has to be very proud, he did his job, but now your comparison of the bikes, the 109 is a sports cruiser kind of in bewteen a crotch rocket and cruiser, fun just like you mention short rides, Harley's are nice it's that name brand, but if you had bought Kawasaki Vulcan/vaquero or even the suzuki c90 you could match Apple's to Apple's as those bikes are meant for long rides, mine you the c90 would need a few upgrades like music, but Kawasaki just crank and ride. Enjoy your bike ride safe and Merry Christmas young man!!
Just picked up a used M109 and love it! I've always wanted one and love the brute power and looks of it. I've had a bunch of Road Glides and Street Glides and in my opinion they are the best touring bikes made. I feel the M109 is probably the best muscle bike made and is a bunch of fun to ride! You really can't go wrong with either one, depending on what type of riding you want to do!
Regardless of how you justify it, thank you for being your age and actually riding distances in person instead of virtually. Harley is a great choice for touring. Keep the shiny side up
Nice bike, I have the same bike/model/color but a few more miles :) got mine set up with v&h header and pipes. They had sorted the oiling issues by the 2020 model year, and so far I’ve logged 20,000 problem free miles on mine. Good purchase man, keep the shiny side up!
Good for you man. That’s a nice ride. I rode sport bikes in my 20s. Loved it but I was missing out back then. There’s nothing like cruising around on a Harley touring bike. A set of handle bars and an exhaust and it will feel like a different bike. Good luck with it.
Everybody calls me an old man because i prefer the cruisers over sports bikes but they’ll figure it out eventually 😂 Thanks for watching, stay tuned those upgrades will be coming soon!
Yeah man that M109 has so much potential but Suzuki refuses to modernize it, wouldn’t be surprised if they stopped making it soon due to low sales. The Lowrider ST is a great bike once you install the speakers & change those clam shell bags for touring bags! Thanks for watching.
@@AyeJayAlmightyyou guessed it, suzuki is thru after this year. Suzuki actually even dropped a black n chrome for 2024 like wtf. Its my favorite bike in the world but suzuki is killin me. I never even thought about harleys
Bigg Dogg the M109 is to be rode like a sportbike. High performance cruiser. I ride my M109 when not on my Busa. Because most people can't keep up. Its all about what kind of riding you wanna do. No one bike does it all !!!
Coming from a limited edition m109r, I've been thinking about upgrading to a roadglide. How is the difference in hp and handling on the highways performance wise and in the twisties? Been thinking about just spending the ex few grand and modifying my already suppd up m109. But a roadglide seems ready to go stock 🤷♂️
The Roadglide is definitely a bit heavier bike which took some getting used to. As far as hp the m109 can’t be beat but the 114 in the Roadglide is no slouch and is pretty much perfect in my opinion, the torque it puts out is amazing. As far as handling the Roadglide feels much more stable at high speeds and handles like a dream once I put some slow speed practice in to better understand the bike. Modifying the m109 to bring it up to Roadglide equivalent was a waste of money in my opinion because the 9 just doesn’t hold resale value at all so if you do those mods be prepared to never sell it expecting that money back. Thanks for commenting and ride safe 🏍️
@AyeJayAlmighty You make a valid point on the resale value of the boulevard. Informative video, new subscriber, keep them vids coming. Prolly see you cruisin round the H 🤘
I have a m109r myself, the only 2 American baggers that can beat a m109r is the Indian Challenger/Pursuit or the 2023 Harley Davidson CVO Roadglide/Street Glide. And im talking stock for stock. Most of the guys i know that got rid of their bullies went with the Indian Challenger.
Buying from the dealership is a big no no in my area. The bikes are overpriced and the rates are high. If you make a good 100k a year then you can pee out that kind of money.
You’re right if you can find the bike you want on Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist that’s the best way to go. But the dealerships in my area are pretty reasonable in my opinion & i only buy toys in the winter months when they aren’t moving as much product and more willing to negotiate prices. Thanks for watching!
Got my first "Harley" just before Christmas this year(at 64). This old dog can still learn new tricks!
Congrats on the new joint playa! Responsibility pays off! Welcome to the RG family! Respect!

Finally!! More young niggas getting Harley’s!! Congrats my guy🤝🏿💯
Last year at 23 I snagged a fxlrst, no regrets. Infinite money pit!
M109 is nice but you’re saying what I’ve been thinking too. Only I want the FXLRST with the speakers. Congratulations on the RG.

Stubbs Cycles I think has the best prices in H Town. I bought my 19 Street Glide there.

Check the oil level, check the oil, and maybe carry some extra oil !!!
How tall are you?
Got to ask why ?
