Lily is exactly what I'd expected the child of two overly dramatic parents would be, direct and no nonsense with sarcastic undertones
Omgosh yes 😂😂
yes most kids tend to be the opposite of there parents
or thats everything they could get out of the actress...
Some entertaining parents
@@richard_nj Seriously? that is exactly how they coached her from 3 years old. Also the 15-year-old actress who played Lily does charity work* so she maybe has a bit of empathy in her too, not just whatever part she is acting.
* for St. Jude Children's Hospital, California Covenant House Youth Shelter, Let Them Play Sports Organization, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Olive Crest, Help A Mother Out, My Stuff Bags, EIF Revlon Run/Walk For Women and Dave Thomas Foundation For Adoption.
(ya all that. look it up)
I love how lily stayed all negative and reserved, she’s the complete opposite of Mitch and Cam but that’s what makes them so awesome! They balance each other out
Every parent knows there are no guarantees. You pretty much have to deal with the child you’re dealt ... regardless of their birth story.
I think she's more of a good mix of both parents
teens do that they opposite their parents in attempt to create their own personality and uniqueness
Does no one see she became the emotional rock that both her parents bounce off of?
Sarcastic & cynical? yes.
Negative? Definitely not.
p.s.
cynical = Mitch
sarcastic = Cam
So she is both reflections of her parents in some aspects, and her own individual in others - just like real children! Bravo to the writers and actors.
Lilly is definitely not going to miss Sal.
Nope. And the feeling is so mutual 😃.
Is that Elizabeth Banks?
@@nygirl7195 Yep
Haha, they’re oil and water.
Sal annoys me since forever
Sal never stopped hating on Lily for stealing her friends😂. I've loved this little feud since the very beginning.
It's not a feud it's sibling rivalry😊
"Don't reduce us to a stereotypical...MY LOVE!"
I just laughed so hard
"why do I always have to sing the female part... MY FIRST LOVE!"
Lily is like,, 13? 14? So I dont get why people are hating on her acting. Lily's character is set to be reserved and quiet to begin with!
She’s 12 actually
@@colton7697 Whoa
Cause some 12 y/o that can act and some can’t. She can’t.
You can tell she is Mitch’s daughter she plays it perfect
@@tinatorres3408 I agree. I can understand someone not liking the character, but that's not bad acting.
Lily is so outspoken and direct like a little devil. Seeing how Aubrey is so shy and reserved in interviews just demonstrates how good of an actress she actually is.
lily also shows almost no range of emotion or facial expression. aubrey is not a good actress and there's nothing really wrong with that, no need to pretend otherwise. I mean she got cast when she was 3, she kinda got pushed into this world when no one, herself included, really knew whether she had a knack or a real interest for it.
@@richard_nj same with (curiously) Aubrey Plaza from Parks and recreation. But then she got a new role and surprise! She can play a different part! Give the kid a break for goodness sake. p.s. you clearly have not raised a teenager yet.
@@mjbgdaad5624 Aubrey Plazas performance in Parks and Rec had a ton more range and charisma... Not even in the same ballpark, but she also was an adult woman when she was cast and it was her own choice to go into acting. I'm not saying Aubrey Anderson-Emmons can never ever be a competent actress, but in Modern Family, especially as she got older and more self conscious and as her personality developed and changed, she was not a good actress in that show and didn't always seem like she really wanted to be there in front of a camera. I really don't think that's a disagreeable statement. Again, I'm not personally attacking her with that, she was 3 when she was cast, she had no say in it.
@@richard_nj:lily is suppose to be reserved and quiet from the get go though plus they needed a kid around the same age as Aburey to play Lily
@@Megz1794 lily isn't reserved and quiet from the start, they made her that way over time as she got older and the actresses limitations may well be one of the reasons why. And exactly, no one involved really knows how it's gonna turn out when you need to cast a young child for a multi year role, in this case an entire decade. That's why it's not a bad thing when child actors don't put on amazing performances, they're children, I just don't see the point in pretending that they are when they're not.
This is unrealistic. No two gay men ever fought over who got to be Lionel Ritchie. Always Diana Ross. Always. 💁🏻♂️ #gayfacts
😁😁👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👍🏽
Interesting I never knew
LOL!!!!
Here's a tip: if you do this song and both of you want to be Lionel Ritchie, it won't last so you might as well break up right then and there.
My boyfriend can confirm that lol (I hate karaoke, but I also love to sing Disney songs especially girls ones lol)
I love how Lilly knows her Dads so well
This was the 1st couple. They made the series. My very homophobuc uncle changes his entire misconceot about gay people because of this them
Really? Your homophobic uncle was converted when they locked Lily inside the car and Cam wanted to smash the window with a trashcan?
Are you literate?
b2kzangelalwayz maybe English is their second language? Or maybe they’re a child, considering this is the comment section of a family program? There’s no reason to be a dick.
b2kzangelalwayz Repeat after me: This is UA-cam and not everyone speaks fluent english.
@@b2kzangelalwayz oh hello professor. I get it you don't have anything to do because we're locked in our homes, that's no reason for you to be judgmental about a comment.
Oh wait... You're just a dick because an actual qualified person would never do something so shitty.
To the OP, I absolutely get what you mean. I'm an Indian and LGBT relationships are still very much taboo. Or most people think they can't even exist. It's how I introduced it to my parents. When you see something so normal, you start accepting it.
I'm gonna miss this family.
Not sure about Lily's acting but she has a nice audio-book voice.
So you're basically saying she would be great at voice acting. There's plenty of opportunities for that. Now that's how you do constructive criticism. 🙂
@@a_noelle8595
Pixar?
@@oltedders any type of animation. Pixar is one type for sure. Television and movie cartoons. Voiceovers. There are many great voice actors.
@@a_noelle8595
She would be great, I think.
Does have a perfect face for radio
They need their own show
This ending didn't make that much sense to me... I think Mitch wouldn't last a month in Missouri, so they would all end up being unhappy pretty fast. While in California they were all happy, including Cam.
Same
i think that mitch would be happy in Missouri the show hinted that in s10 e7 when mitch loved the chicken loved taking care of her and loved dressing like a farmer and going to the farmers shop
@@zezokh4754 True true. But that's only to the Farmer's markets and shops in California. While Missouri is basically like that 24/7.
Well probably not 24/7, but you know what I mean.
Yo, from Missouri here and we really aren't anything like how Cam and the show portrays us.
It's honestly really annoying when he gets like that.
Still love the show, btw.
Just Cam is a bit exasperating when he's being too southern.
Not the best decision, but Mitch can have a big career upgrade and they will figure everything out eventually.
PLEASE TELL ME THEY ARE GETTING A SPIN OFF IN MISSOURI
You guys give Aubrey so much crap. 1. She is a child. 2. She is a child. 3. There is only but so much you can do with a pissy storyline, poor direction and a lack of character development. She is not at fault.
its not like there aren't children actors......
She really isn't that good, but she has really improved.
Plus this has been her only acting role other than one random short movie in anything so she hasn't had the chance to expand her acting. But who knows she might not want to after this and will probably take a break from acting to be an actual child. Who knows, honestly she would be a great voice actor if she preferred not to be on screen anymore but wanted to keep acting.
I love Aubrey. She portrays Lily on point, exactly how she is written.
Shes really bad
I knew as soon as the music hit his soul, he would fall into character.
They had me in tears! Its amazing how the kids all grew up!😍❤
I just finished watching the show and the only thing i wish had not happened was Mitch and Cam moving. I so badly wish they stayed so that the grown ups (Mitch, Cam, Claire, Phil, Jay and Gloria) could keep visiting and stay close while the kids went off to their new adventures.
Anyway, it was a fantastic show, im so glad i finally watched it. I loved every bit of it!
This show saved my life back in 2011, forever grateful, forever a fan.
I will miss you.
After all these years, Sal still can't stand Lilly 😂😂😂she's the very definition of "unbothered"
This storyline doesn't work for several reasons. First off, a gay couple moving to a predominately white conservative state with their Asian children is an absolute no! Not to mention that with Mitch and Cam's hobbies, a city is what they need. I also think a more believable storyline would be Cam getting a job with Broadway or maybe Mitchel getting a fancy lawyer job or possibly both. If they moved to New York, there would be more than enough activities to keep Lily and Mitch stimulated. Besides there are several instances throughout the show where it has been proven that farm life isn't for Cam. One when he had the pet chicken and it turned out he hated it while Mitch loved it or how Cam hated cleaning up messes because it reminded him of life on the farm. Not to mention why would Cam want to move back to Missouri where his family treated Mitchel like shit. Not once did Cameron take his side. Cam has become too much of a city boy to return to farm or country life. I also think this would stunt Lily's growth as a person and stifle any creativity their son would have if they went back to Missouri.
The red states have cities too, with diverse populations. Maybe not as diverse as Manhattan, but it's not like Mitch and Cam lived in the most diverse part of California either.
its just tv lmao
They need a spin off
Glenis goodchild they definitely should
Since they never really focus on them as a family tbh. I am down for this!!
James Mayo So down!! The show would be like a combination of Timon and Pumbaa and 2 1/2 Men
Glenis goodchild yup.
Totally agreed. Beside, they never showed lily more appearance in the show
I love how supportive Cam is of the pig
i was so upset watching this for the first time, i know it's not my life, but their new house and their baby.. it was all so perfectt
Please do a show with Mitch and Cam!! It would be incredible!
Imagine a show called The Cam and Mitch show !!
The Kitch Show
Modern Farm
that is a horrible tittle. perhaps Cam on Mitch might be better.
Let's not
I too have a Lily . Teenagers like do exist. My daughter is a mix between Lily and Alex 🤓❤ also I'm surprised that she is popular with her friends but not social... weird combination 😂
That was me in high school too. Turns out when you're genuine and honest people really like that
My friend is very sarcastic and dry too. But she has a large social group. She’s different around her friends and around her parents though
Them singing got me cryinn 😭😭😭
I’m gonna miss this family so much 😭😭😭😭😭😭
Already miss it !!
It’s not enough that it’s the last episode. ABC is just going to keep these clips coming, aren’t they, reminding us over and over.
#ModernFamilyFinale
“Why do I always have to sing the female part?” Proceed singing the song with high pitch voice 😂
Damn I will miss this show😭😭😭
gambo barns one of the best shows ever
I will miss them so much😭
The best clip ever
The people filming the documentary are not dedicated the way the camera men in the office were. If they can follow Jim when he moves to another branch these guys can go to Missouri.
All these years Sal still hates Lily hahahaha...
I love how they complain about singing but jump right into it 😂🎤
just give me a spin-off with Lily.. she's so freaking awesome!
in a few years, they could do a second show with the former kids as the new parents
This is awesome 👌
One of my favourite Modern family musical moments
Awwwww gonna miss this!
"i know just the pig!" 😂😂😂
yall fightin?
haha, why did I read that in Lily's voice
People still dont realize that the actor playing lily is superb. That's who lily is.
good thing I don't have to go to work with eye bags tomorrow
I personally love Lily she's one of my favorite characters..
0:27 they’re so precious
bruh when i tell you i bawled for 3 hours when i watched the last episode last night. man i can’t IM SO sad it’s over. we don’t even get to see hayleys babies or mitch and cams 😭😭😭
Lily has grow so much TwT rewatching MF and watching Lily in season 4 compared to now? Jesus! She became taller and her voice became deeper
I hated how Cam always seemed to get his way with Mitch, or simply get away with doing some very petty things and then make Mitchell feel guilty when he does stg similar (though usually less petty)
They got their dream house and the baby boy despite Mitchell mentioning they weren’t quite ready for that, and Cam even sees/remarks on how happy Mitchell is, and yet “forces” the move anyway. I’m not entirely convinced he accidentally mentioned the call about the job in front of everyone to not force Mitchell’s answer. It’s pretty much the same tactic he uses to force Mitchell to clean up when Cam makes messes or when they dress the same.
And, yeah, Cam was there for years, but clearly he liked it. I thought that in the end, they would show us the one time Cam wouldn’t let his pettiness get the better of him and think of his family/Mitchell instead.
But nope... Hated it.
(Although I will admit that if they give us a spin-off I might take it all back)
Was there a main reason Mitchell got a little bit mad at Lily just asking
Why break up the family? Family, being close to your family is so important why break people apart? Just for the tears? A great ending should end on a positive note not the breaking away of family members.
They're moving closer to cams family and I guess it's great for him to get to spend more time with his own family from now on
Cam didn't like the farm, there is a episode he talk about that he hate the farm work and his dad call him lazy also what about Pam could she not work there
I really couldn't buy this turn in the Mitch & Cam story. Cam managed to screw up nearly everything he attempted, so why would we believe he would succeed in this new challenge? I don't think Mitch deep down believed it either.
They’re so annoying, they always write Lily so that she’s never upset about moving into a new home, or having a baby brother, or moving to Missouri, she always reacts VERY positively because it makes her scenes last lesser. There, they’re saying they want to leave the city, the state where she grew up and has always known and she doesn’t even need two minutes to think about it, she’s just like : « that’s okay, I have no personnality, you guys keep changing your mind but I’m okay just doing whatever you want ».
I think because she was born into this role and isn't much of an actor. Thats why she got so little screentime.
Last lesser? Greg, no one is reading this thesis statement.
b2kzangelalwayz lmao English isn’t my mother tongue, I’m trying my best
@@muiske41 she wasn't born into the role. Lily was played by twin babies when the show started. This actress came a bit later. She was 4 years old.
@@priam9376 you're doing fine Greg.
I would love to see a spin off of this series with mitch and cam
I have been saying this ever since the last episode. And do you know who would be their perfect neighbors? Jack and Estefan from Will and Grace!
The fact that she's only 13 is mind blowing. She seems so grown up now from the beginning when I used to be able to watch the show more.
I was crying so hard.
1:45 - Lilly's face lol
“As they say in Missouri, I AIN’T GOING BACK TO MISSOURI!!!”
Did you get that reference?
this was golden but even I think that Mitch wouldn't last in Missouri. in my mind these three moved back to Cali and lived with Haley and Dylan. Alex and luke come home time to time, jay dies eventually with his family by side and gloria raises Joe alone like she did with Manny.
Such great chemistry. Lol
one of my most fav scene 🥺
I love Lily ❤
🤣😂 LMFAO she said you guys gone get singing anyways might as well get over it
Oh fuck I’m gonna start crying watching the final episodes, aren’t I?
Well as much as I loved this show it’s very clear they need to take a bow at this point
I love Cam soooo much ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I swear to God if these were my parents... I pretty much be like LILY🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Endless Love was a bad choice. No one is ever going to top Phoebe and Chandler's version.
Who is here to cry?... 😭
Lily is awesome
Loved this but didn't Mitch and Cam buy the appartment above their's a few seasons ago? Kind of funny that the writers seemed to forget this when they had M and C buy a bigger house.
It's still two different apartments though. Not a house. And I think they are renting the above apartment
Spin off for them; Modern Farm!!!
I personally think that their moving to Missouri is a MASSIVE mistake. They are NOT the type of people who should be living in farm country where people are set in their old-fashioned ways, Mitch will be absolutely miserable there, there won't be as many fun stuff for them to do that Mitch or Lily will enjoy, Mitch and Cam won't have any fellow gays to be around them to support them and any they would find would be closeted, Lily will definitely hate living there, and Cam must've moved away from there for a reason because he had already left before he had even met Mitch. I just don't see this situation lasting long and they will hate living there, especially Mitch. They would be better off staying in the new house they bought before they moved to Missouri. I don't see this being a long-term journey in their lives and will eventually realize that it was a horrible mistake.
Mitch always talked about making a difference. Imagine what a difference it would make in our world if an openly gay man was hired to coach Division 1 football in a deeply red state. Mitch and Cam could help makes likes better for LGBTQ+ people across America.
Happy face emoji here🤣🤣🤣
I’m so sad the show is over 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
ChichiMike777 me too but I wish the seasons did more better like the first two
My loveee... There’s only you in my liife... the only thing thats bright😂😂😂 I’m going to miss modern family☹️
Where can i watch the latest season of modern family its not in netflix. 😭😭😭😭
All the episodes are in hotstar premium. I just finished binge watching it.
Nunca te pedi nada. Por favor mais uma temporada de modern famíly ❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏🙏🇧🇷🇧🇷
is this a joke? what about the new house?
Funny that even in the end Sal still hates Lily
ABC stop spoiling the finale for us :')
Sal have exellent actiing. I love elizabeth so much
ABC pls return modern family
Lily looks like joanna gaines of fixer upper💕
In an other life, I totally had gay dads parents, god I love them, I used to be a preschool teacher for 14 years, any time I could sing with the kids was an excuse, used to make them dancing on the tables, when the principal left school in the afternoon haha
Damn 1:24 had me dying!!
❤😢 extremely sad scene
Love the finger Mitchell.
Will they ever come back though
And Lily I remember when she was just 3 and now just a frowning young woman this show has grown to fast
I don't like being the first person at a party either haha
Hah, cam being jokingly offended by given the female parts before belting out some beautiful vocals!
THEY MOVED?!
God the writing really ruined all the kids. Why does lily have no personality ?
as a kid that grew up in a dysfunctional family, i have no personality either
Sincerely Defiant, I think it suits her personality as a baby from the beginning. She was always painted as this dark and witty child. The monotony in her delivery and few words seem perfect.
That IS her personality.
Why am I the only one who notices this?
@@LegionIvory yes! I feel like everyone in the family is so extra (starting from her fathers but not stopping there) that she has to tone herself down. When she says she will dye her hair blue and get a emotional support pig, you can see how much she is defiant, but to go against the majority in her family is to make less noise. And that's SO interesting because she is really mature, much more that Alex, who was always smarter than everyone, but wanted the family to role with what she wanted (following Claire, obviously).
The first two seasons were so perfect. All the other seasons had bad acting
Lily reminds me of Amy from Big Bang
Is that Elizabeth Banks? I totally forgot shes in this
Im shooketh yeah it’s her
