I saw another video with thr wdg3a loco,but this rebuilt accelerates much better than the other,,,,flames???not enough for make trouble,,the engine quickly gains speed and at high turns,,,the smoke is very low.

It is normal,,,the bad charger tlat doesnt work well at low speed motor and full throttle,,consequences:Black smoke and flames,,,but at full throttle and high motor speed,,,no flames,,,,less smoke. See the video.

Some Loco Pilots are heave this type of worst driving skill. This type of Loco Pilots will spoil locomotives.
Generally indian railway diesel engines are very less efficient, heavy loss of resources. Engineers should work on fuel consumption.
HARENDRA MARANDI You should see WDP - 4D. It Rarely smokes like this. EMD locos are very efficient than Alco's. Thats why India invested in EMD. And it is powerful than Alco too. And they are Massive and Gorgeous too. Their humming is also mind blowing.

Not faulty .. Its called Turbo lag, a natural phenomenon in 4 stroke turbocharged diesel engines ...
Sirs,,,both have some of reason:4 stroke engines are more slowly to accelerate than 2 stroke engines, the turbo in 4 stroke is more "lazy" than 2 stroke,and dont work well at low rpm engine at full stroke,the turbo lag is present in both engines,,,but more time in 4 strokes. The flames in these case,better burns outside,logic,the exhaust valves if they are bad cooled,may damage,but these engines work a lot of time in this condition. for avoid this phenomena,the engineer may not apply full throttle at low speed engine,,,the charger dont blow enough air to the cylinders chamber and a lot of fuel burns uncomplete,finishing the combustion outside.today are systems that monitorizes a lot of parameters,and correct a lot of issues ,this for example,,,
