Considering you haven't really had a mechanical back ground it's so good to see you have a go and it's a inspiration. This will make people feel more likely to have a go with there own cars well in mate another sick one keep it up man. you should feel proud 👍👍
So nice to see the old you back mate the good one liners and jokes are killing me ! Back to the old days! Where’s Quattro they’ used to be the main part !! Keep it up Harry good to see you happy
Been watching since early harrymania days but going through all of your phases bmx’ing mtb and diy I think the car and van videos have been my favourite keep up the good work Harry lad
Hey Harry that was a very SICK video and I can't wait to see more and the van looks SICK, yes you can paint the spoiler because it is raw and you don't need to prepare it
Harry I’ve been watching u for time and when u started mountain biking u inspired me to start mountain biking I always go Llandegla always watch u and ur videos are absolutely class
If you want gleud stuff removed you should use peanut butter. Spread it on the glue residues thick, let it do it's work for 15 to 30 minutes and remove. I know it sound crazy, but trust me and try. It's so easy it's sick. And it doesn't damage the paint where there is no glue residues. Can't wait to hear how it worked for you. Greatings from Holland.
Mate the VW badge Is as wonky as my eyes and my eyes are bang straight so well done I put my badge on pissed up and it wasn’t even in the recess smashing these vlogs love them
Spoilers will no doubt need some filling and sanding, and then either wrap or paint, I used 3m tape to put mine on my old t5.1 and they stayed well put! Vans looking sweet too! Who'd of thought Gaz would be handy with a machine polisher!
I bought a pre-primed barn door spoiler last year for my T5 and had it sprayed in satin black. Really happy with it. If you’re going for the stealth look then an easy and cheap little mod that I’d recommend is a smoked lens for the 3rd brake light. You can get one from Van X. The smoked tail lights from them are also sick.
Take the spoilers and any un painted parts you've ordered to a paintwork/ body shop. They will spray and colour match them for you to the current paint code the van already has. Also ask them to bond them on for you with a strong adhesive. It's a huge hassle to paint/ fit them yourself, and could be expensive if you mess it up mate. Loving the van content at present, keep it up!
Loving the Driveway Mods. When using double sided mounting tape, it sticks best if you heat up the tape and the surface your sticking it too a little bit with a heat gun. Van is looking mad!!!! Keep it up man.
@@harrymain No worries, also when getting rid of the sticky glue residue, I use oil spray GT86 or mucoff equivalent, much cheaper than detailing products. it softens the glue and when used with heat it should wipe off.
Harry my Brother, i have always used Denatured Alcohol from the hardware store and put in a spray bottle and a rag, it works amazing for the final dirt removal from removing the badges and the new badges will stick better!!!Peace!!!!
Great video pal, spoiler you will need heavy duty double sided tape and silicone on the contact services, mock them up in position before taping so you've got them level because there a pig to get back off I put a thin bead of silicone on the top gap to stop wind getting behind 👍
Cuttin pastes you can use tcut g3 auto glym paint restorer . All i do is pour bit of thinners / panel whipe on top of badge give it 20secs use a new filler spreader off in seconds you both did well tho n with a smile on ya faces .. keep at it lads
@@harrymain used it a few times on cars bikes even some of my Helmets stuff is sick nice one for the reply really enjoying the way the channel is... well done bro
A bit late now but a useful tip for future reference heat gun, credit card or similar then heat the remains of the foam glue roll it up as you stated then auto Glym tar and glue remover for the residue, the card will remove the full transporter sign in one swipe mate
Keep the vids coming man loving the content as for the spoilers they are better painted before wrapping either way for the vinyl to stick properly so I'd paint satin and wrap if your not happy with it.
Yes mate they are actually primered right now Which I think they are in perfect condition for anything at this point. I think it would deafly not have to put a load of paint on though I do agree
And he does it again over 8000 views. Mainy these t6 videos are justed loved by the fans. Keep it up boy, great seeing you two today. I don't wether anyone else commeted on the grass but looks 👌speak soon guys
Just fitted myne mate, once wrapped or painted they come with an adhesive tape wich is the shape of the spoiler then you have to drill into the top of the door and screw through the door into the spoilers it doesn’t come with it but I would also suggest using some good adhesive like tiger seal to make sure it really sticks well.
Harry Main yeh mate would fully say to just do that , some other spoilers I’ve seen only glue on aswell if you use good adhesive then it should hold fine mate
Whatever you do, do not drill the holes for the spoiler when you come to fit them, you can buy a proper spoiler adhesive kit from the dealer, we only ever bond them on at the dealer now and have had no issues with them 👍🏻 great videos
And the spoilers I have them on my vw t5 and they look really good too . They make the van look sporty . I reckon carbon or black to make it look clean as 🤟🤘
Been a long day and thought I had missed a bit.....badges off....then back on! Fair play tho dude the transporter is coming along and welcome back to decent uploads as I've missed them chap 👌👊
New to your channel and loving the updates. I have a T5 lwb T30 in silver, dropped 40mm on 19"range rover alloys. Got the barn door spoilers which look sick. Also remapped to 180bhp and 400nm - so much better and still good mpg and totally recommend it.
Youll have to fill the pinholes on them spoilers then prime them. I do transit spoilers in work and theyve got gel coat on them and it doesnt like paint on it without a primer then flat with p500 then paint over 👍
Mate loving the channel. I work on t5 t6 every day as I convert them into campers. When i fit the spoilers i bond them on with dinertrol ( windscreen bonder ) make shore when fitting you mock then up first and mark on the van and spoiler a viable line to line up when fitting. As regards to paint I think carbon wrap will look mint. Is it a grp or fibreglass. I think you should fit the abt bumpers.
In my opinion I'd spray the spoilers satin black because that seems the easiest option as carbon wrap would be a challenge plus if you change your mind and want carbon you can wrap over the top and that way youd see what it looks like painted first but either way its gonna look fresh !!!

Petrol and a cloth it the best to take the adhesive off where the badges were
Didn’t think of that!!!!
Ryan Mochrie wont it burn the paint?

For the old glue use alcahol or wd40 with some elbow grese
Billy Butterfield Good old elbow grease the best type of grease.
Haha yessss mate

Hacheston mate thanks for the comment sick profile picture dude
Hydro dip the spoilers , buy the kit on eBay and do them yourself
It’s a really good idea my only concern is that Hydro dip could be really thin at least it has been in the past on BMX parts
@@harrymain I know what you mean, you can clear coat them after the dipping for durability.
Mr Main ...... that T6 is gonna look banging when it's all done. Loving how its looking already....👍👍😎😎
Use a clay bar or petrol or rubbing alcohol even wd40 works
Yes mate I should should have used my Claybar

Best thing to use I found, was auto gylm tar and clue remover for the badge removal, hope this helps 🤙

Harry my Brother, i have always used Denatured Alcohol from the hardware store and put in a spray bottle and a rag, it works amazing for the final dirt removal from removing the badges and the new badges will stick better!!!Peace!!!!
Harry all you need to get that glue off is Augoglym intensive tar remover. Soak the glue in it and then it will all
Come off. So easy.
Definitely wrap the spoiler carbon, will be a nice accent from the rear badge set the van off nicely!!
Yes mate I think it will be really cool to
Van is looking sweet af! You should black out the reflectors on the back bumper and tint the lights it would look mean af Harry .👍🤟
carbon spoiler quite a ball ache to fit, Carbon rear bumper protector , carbon front splitter and carbon wing mirror covers it looks sick
Yes mate totally agree carbon wing mirrors are really cool
Great video pal, spoiler you will need heavy duty double sided tape and silicone on the contact services, mock them up in position before taping so you've got them level because there a pig to get back off I put a thin bead of silicone on the top gap to stop wind getting behind 👍

The grey is a primer which is a protector to the spoiler, you can directly paint the thing or wrap if you’d like, both the same outcome whichever y like.
