Do please see the Almaty concert version, it was the first time he debuted this song! He has the official version, but I also love the Vietnamese fan cam version, and prepare yourself to be equally blown away by Dimash’s performance. This song is in the third hour of his concert and immediately after he debuts his other new song El Amor En Ti, it’s the first time he sings in Spanish! That's why I always advise to watch the live performance first, even though you might not understand why he's singing the way he's singing. The video is full of symbolism. No camera angle is unwanted, every scene has meaning and should be watched carefully to understand the video. In The Story Of One Sky he composed and sang the whole soundtrack himself. The video shows once again that Dimash is an absolute genius. In composing, in singing but also as an actor and as a storyteller. The powerful message conveyed by this video is more relevant today than ever. I think this video is mostly about the message. This message however, is for the first time more important than his vocal abilities. His voice is just the tool in this video. But simply unbelievable. His singing is indescribable and I don’t have the words to express it adequately. But it is only the mediator of what this video is about. This is so heartbreaking and sad and an awesome masterpiece. Pure goosebumps. You probably have to see it more than once to understand it. He worked on this composition for three years and also wrote the screenplay. The premiere was on September 24, 2022. As some have mentioned, this video should be seen by many people. It may be very brutal for some. But let’s not forget that for many, including children, this is everyday life in some countries. And Dimash relentlessly shows us how ugly war is. During his concerts he always tells the audience he loves all people in every country. He visited so many different counties with his concerts and he realized that there are no bad nations (only bad leaders). And OMG he is such a phenomenal actor. Dimash was the little boy who was drowning in the beginning and he gave the necklace to his childhood friend (and future leader) and the girl. The girl on the beach was his future wife. She was pregnant and in the end of the video she gave birth to her and Dimashs' (character) second child. The littel girl who was shot was Dimashs and her first daughter. When he came home and saw his daughter dead on the ground, he had to assume that his wife and unborn child were also killed. Desperation and maybe revenge has led him to kill his former friend. When I first saw the video, I was shocked. I didn't think he was going to shoot his friend. But in the end that all made sense. Dimash wanted to show what revenge can do. Violence always breeds violence, and because of this, not only is the leader dead, but so is Dimash. It was so heartbreaking to see Dimash drown at the end. Dimash in the last sequence of the video was the baby that was born and now as a grown man unites people of different nationalities and religions for peace. In this video you can see how the main religions are represented mostly with his voice. Islam with the type of Arabic melisma (unfortunately I don't know the correct explanation for this type of singing), Buddhism with the monks and the enchanting "Om", Judaism with the shofar and the Christian church with the soprano singing, which often can be heard in churches. Hello Gerard! Thank you for your sincere reaction! When I first watched this MV, it broke me, I became very emotional, it was heart wrenching, to say the least! Have you noticed that Dimash is the main solder right from the very beginning of the war scene, when he was walking under the overpass, also when he was shot in the arm, many people miss that? Dimash has worked very hard for 3 years composing the music for this song, and around 20 days to make this MV. It turned out to be his most valuable MV, in the ideological sense, ever made, a real Masterpiece! I believe that Dimash deserves THE NOBEL PEACE PRIZE for his selfless hard work and tireless efforts, not only for this MV, but for trying to bring the world together in love, peace, and harmony and through his many charities. He is a Legend in the making and will go down in History. This is my breakdown of the story, as I see it: This mini movie is full of symbolisms, it's the story of 3 youths, and the necklace which was created by the young Dimash and shared with his friends symbolizing lifelong friendship and unity. The boys both loved the same girl, but she loved Dimash, so the other boy grew resentful over time, started a war, using the symbol of the necklace given to him by his friend Dimash, as the crest on his army uniform. 1) Dimash, was the boy drowning at the beginning and at the end. 2) The Piper, is the one who saved Dimash, became the leader, and was killed by Dimash at the end. 3) The young girl, who died in childbirth, became Dimash’s future wife, had two children together; a daughter who was killed by the Piper's army; and the birth of a son who inherited the necklace from his mother…, they were all affected by the war. “People are the caravan…. Life is the way”: Dimash spoke these words in Kazakh, when he found his daughter dead. For the symbolic aspects, Dimash is showing the different cultures and religions (Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, Hindi, etc.), through throat singing, which is called the REQUIEM (mass for the souls of the dead), from different religions. Thanks for this. I've had some trouble following the details of the story. It's hard to immerse your self in the storyline without crumbling. I'll have to see if i can compartmentalize the emotion. Though I've watched it a dozen times or so, this is the first time I'm cognizant of the level of production, direction, staging and editing this video required. This was a serious venture for a MV. I really shouldn't be surprised... Dimash never seems to do anything "small".

This was the first time, where Dimash’s voice is almost secondary to the story and message, though it enhances every scene without doubt. It’s hard to explain. Very heartbreaking to take in.

(1) Dimash composed the song and participated in the arrangement, in addition to acting in the mini-film. The lyrics of the song and Russian poet Lilia Vinogradova and the video direction by Alina Veripya!
(2) The artifact that the boy found in the trunk and that was turned into necklaces is a "gnomon", a needle for a sundial (a rustic device for keeping time);

You're right, it's difficult, if not impossible, to focus on both at the same time. That's why I always advise to watch the live performance first, even though you might not understand why he's singing the way he's singing. The video is full of symbolism. No camera angle is unwanted, every scene has meaning and should be watched carefully to understand the video.
In The Story Of One Sky he composed and sang the whole soundtrack himself.
The video shows once again that Dimash is an absolute genius. In composing, in singing but also as an actor and as a storyteller. The powerful message conveyed by this video is more relevant today than ever. I think this video is mostly about the message. This message however, is for the first time more important than his vocal abilities. His voice is just the tool in this video. But simply unbelievable. His singing is indescribable and I don’t have the words to express it adequately. But it is only the mediator of what this video is about. This is so heartbreaking and sad and an awesome masterpiece. Pure goosebumps. You probably have to see it more than once to understand it.
He worked on this composition for three years and also wrote the screenplay.
The premiere was on September 24, 2022.
As some have mentioned, this video should be seen by many people. It may be very brutal for some. But let’s not forget that for many, including children, this is everyday life in some countries. And Dimash relentlessly shows us how ugly war is. During his concerts he always tells the audience he loves all people in every country. He visited so many different counties with his concerts and he realized that there are no bad nations (only bad leaders).
And OMG he is such a phenomenal actor.
Dimash was the little boy who was drowning in the beginning and he gave the necklace to his childhood friend (and future leader) and the girl. The girl on the beach was his future wife. She was pregnant and in the end of the video she gave birth to her and Dimashs' (character) second child. The littel girl who was shot was Dimashs and her first daughter. When he came home and saw his daughter dead on the ground, he had to assume that his wife and unborn child were also killed. Desperation and maybe revenge has led him to kill his former friend. When I first saw the video, I was shocked. I didn't think he was going to shoot his friend. But in the end that all made sense. Dimash wanted to show what revenge can do. Violence always breeds violence, and because of this, not only is the leader dead, but so is Dimash. It was so heartbreaking to see Dimash drown at the end. Dimash in the last sequence of the video was the baby that was born and now as a grown man unites people of different nationalities and religions for peace.
In this video you can see how the main religions are represented mostly with his voice. Islam with the type of Arabic melisma (unfortunately I don't know the correct explanation for this type of singing), Buddhism with the monks and the enchanting "Om", Judaism with the shofar and the Christian church with the soprano singing, which often can be heard in churches.

By the way Dimash has received an award from Pope Francis personally at The Congress of the Leaders of World and Traditional Religions held in Kazakhstan on September 13, 2022. He performed the song there in connection with the congress before the premiere. Can you imagine, a Muslim receiving an award from the head of the Catholic Church. How wonderful is that🥰.

ДИМАШ как будто побывал на войне в Украине ! Да, в Украине так и происходит : рожают в тёмных сырых подвалах, оккупанты убивают и насилуют детей ! огонь, разруха, холод, люди раскапывают из-под завалов разрушенных многоэтажек тела своих родных ; детей, родителей и соседей ! роzzийские фашисты уничтожают инфраструктуру мирных городов : люди неделями сидят без электро-энергии, воды и тепла ! Дети без горячей еды! Скажите мне - это люди, которые творят всё это ? У нас нет электричества. У нас всю осень и зиму горели свечи, они горели за ваш упокой, российские фашисты ! путин - гитлер 21 века, исчадие ада на Земле. Он всю эту страну превратил в абсолютное ZЛО. Он приказал убивать Украинцев, уничтожать мирные города и гражданскую инфраструктуру. этот маньяк сделал свой народ убийцами. На многие поколения русские будут врагами Украинцев. На днях очередной ракетный обстрел искандерами забрал 21 жизнь Одесситов, в т.ч.5 детей, были разрушения, главного Православного Собора города и множества исторических объектов, находящихся под охраной ЮНЕСКО. Этой ночью случился очередной удар дронами-камикадзе по Харькову. Не перестаёт удивлять изысканная подлость русских тварей, состоящая в том, что после первого прилёта они стреляют в то же самое место, но когда туда уже прибыли спасатели, медики, пожарные. В результате ещё больше убитых, в т.ч. спасателй и медиков.

Hello Gerard! Thank you for your sincere reaction! When I first watched this MV, it broke me, I became very emotional, it was heart wrenching, to say the least!
Have you noticed that Dimash is the main solder right from the very beginning of the war scene, when he was walking under the overpass, also when he was shot in the arm, many people miss that?
Dimash has worked very hard for 3 years composing the music for this song, and around 20 days to make this MV. It turned out to be his most valuable MV, in the ideological sense, ever made, a real Masterpiece! I believe that Dimash deserves THE NOBEL PEACE PRIZE for his selfless hard work and tireless efforts, not only for this MV, but for trying to bring the world together in love, peace, and harmony and through his many charities. He is a Legend in the making and will go down in History.
This is my breakdown of the story, as I see it:
This mini movie is full of symbolisms, it's the story of 3 youths, and the necklace which was created by the young Dimash and shared with his friends symbolizing lifelong friendship and unity. The boys both loved the same girl, but she loved Dimash, so the other boy grew resentful over time, started a war, using the symbol of the necklace given to him by his friend Dimash, as the crest on his army uniform.
1) Dimash, was the boy drowning at the beginning and at the end.
2) The Piper, is the one who saved Dimash, became the leader, and was killed by Dimash at the end.
3) The young girl, who died in childbirth, became Dimash’s future wife, had two children together; a daughter who was killed by the Piper's army; and the birth of a son who inherited the necklace from his mother…, they were all affected by the war.
“People are the caravan…. Life is the way”: Dimash spoke these words in Kazakh, when he found his daughter dead.
For the symbolic aspects, Dimash is showing the different cultures and religions (Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, Hindi, etc.), through throat singing, which is called the REQUIEM (mass for the souls of the dead), from different religions. The Pilgrim or (Shepard or a Wise Man) at the end of the video was Dimash’s baby boy, born in his image and grows up to guide the Representatives of different religions and race from different Nations to the light, for a new beginning living together in peace, tolerance, love, and harmony.

Though I've watched it a dozen times or so, this is the first time I'm cognizant of the level of production, direction, staging and editing this video required. This was a serious venture for a MV. I really shouldn't be surprised... Dimash never seems to do anything "small".
Exactly! You've explained the story very well. For my opinion, the piper is a reference of the legend "Pied piper of Hamelin". Also, he does a reference of the song "Imagine" from John Lennon. This was the first time, where Dimash’s voice is almost secondary to the story and message, though it enhances every scene without doubt. It’s hard to explain. Very heartbreaking to take in.

Esta es, como tú lo has dicho, una obra de arte. Acá Dimash es el compositor de la música, es actor, cantante y guionista en este trabajo. Él dijo que esa composición le llevó 3 años. Es realmente un trabajo increíble. El video es muy fuerte, te deja en shock. Yo tuve que verlo muchas veces porque no podía parar de llorar y me perdía siempre algún detalle.
