Absolutely! You can buy extended mags for the 43 and have the same capacity and handling of the 43x. You can also slim down with the 6 round flush mag. 43x you are stuck where you are unless you want to increase capacity. 43 is my edc.
Ben - that's a great vid... I wish I shot my 43 as well as you ... but I agree that it's very accurate and easy to shoot. Molds to my hand like it's part of it. I really wish they'd figure out how to get more rounds in there like the 365, but with such a light and small mag, it's easy to carry more. I've also always thought the release could use just a little more of a flare on it so it's easier.
Correct me if I'm wrong but I've heard the 43x\48 10 round mags aren't compatible with the 43 because they're not true single stacks and the rounds stagger slightly which makes them wider.
The simple answer is yes. It's the only Glock I've kept. I added the Pearce +1 to the two mags I was running. Then a bit later I got a killer clearance deal on the FAB 10-round extensions and bought two additional mags to put them on. They work great. The gun shoots great.

Wife got a 43 when they first came out... had a many years, few hundred rounds now, EDC for her... Don't believe we ever had a misfire, malfunction of any type... Absolutely box stock and very, very dependable...
The 26 is same silhouette put them side by side it’s not much thinner I’ll take the double stack 10 round or plus 1 for 11 in the mag and takes real Glock mags 15,17,33 round no problems
i got a 43 after they came out and wished i'd just bought the shield. they really are great and they were offering killer rebates, at least then. ended up getting a 365xl and it's a decent pick as well with factory tritium sights. i've no problems with rust where i live, tho so ymmv.
@ME-ci8zi shield plus is great. The last one I had the pin for the trigger safety kept walking out when firing. Had a gunsmith fix it and it still did it a little. Then the mag wouldn't lock back on empty chamber. Finally decided to take it back and got another Glock. The shield does shoot great. That was my second shield plus. The first one I owned had no issues and ate everything I fed it.
the 43 is designed to be compact to be concealed . it was not designed to hold 10 rounds. if that's your focus. get a bigger gun like a 19 or a 17. or even a 43x of all the mini pistols i've handled , it's the only one that doesn't snag in a pants pocket. other styles and brands snag.
I just paid 450 today at rural king as well which still is a fair price imo I could’ve saved a few bucks buying it on blue label but didn’t feel like driving an hour to that shop lol I actually prefer the 43 vs the 43x and 26. 🤷♂️ Shot the best for me out to 25yd of the 3 contenders.
I love mine. It’s my EDC gun and I find it surprisingly accurate despite the short barrel
Awesome! Absolutely, they really perform great. Thanks for watching 👍👍

Now that is a very ingenious point!
Never had a malfunction with mine, Great gun for those that don't "need" a bunch of ammo to feel good.
I like my 43. Also I hve the+2 & +3 Taran mag base plate. Never had a malfunction.
Great place you have. Saludos from Puerto Rico 🇵🇷🇺🇸
Thank you! I am very fortunate
Great gun, love the video. Subbing
Thank you very much!!

You are correct they are not compatible. The 43x mags are a little wider and obviously longer.

"Glock: $300.00 in Parts from Perfection"
(A customized 43 is my favorite compact.)
I like small pocket pistols but im not a fan of the 6 round mags, thanks to the fab defense +4 extensions its more comfortable
Good to know!👍
I got the Pro Mag 9 round mags and they work great as well.
I cc this on my leg and a gen5 17 on my side every day. Thanks for sharing this
That’s pretty cool! Hey thanks for watching👍
Good grief. Where do you live Chicago?

If you didn’t know, you can get a Glock 48 and use the 43 slide and then you have a 43,43x and a 48.

I would say it's irrelevant due to the 365. But the 365 rusts so damn easy, I'd rather have my old 43 back now.
If it goes bang it will always be revenant
Absolutely
I almost got this over the hellcat osp lol i chose the hellcat cause 1: better capacity, 2: room for attachments and i just liked it better 😁
You like what you like, nothing wrong with that. Hellcats are pretty cool btw 👍
For glock? Sure. The M&P shield plus kinda beat it for me tho
Nothing wrong with that! I have always thought the Shield was pretty cool

G43 is my everyday. Got a 9 round mag and still disappears under my shirt

The fact that you said you can buy a G43 under $400... where?
I was on a video a few minutes ago and someone was saying the same thing. $380 out the door. I paid $450 for mine out the door at Rural King
You can find them on the used market. LE trade ins are typically sub $400…I don’t see new ones for less than $400.
I got mine for $360 at a pawnshop, came with a holster and night sights

Sucks versus the S&W Shield Plus.
Shield Plus by comparison is heavy and often difficult to CC in tropical areas where I live. I carry the G43 for that reason.
No. Outdated relic.
