- Foreign Minister Penny Wong’s comments on Opposition Leader Peter Dutton’s nuclear stance sending energy prices high shows “no one believes Labor on energy”, Sky News host James Macpherson says.
“Penny Wong warns Dutton’s nuclear idea is going to send energy prices up,” he said.
“To which everyone would rightly respond, prices up, compared to what? Compared to your prices.”

China has about 130 nuclear power stations in constructions while Labor are spending billions on the technology from China, which China is abandoning for themselves.

I just want cheap electricity, damn it. Like we had in the 70's and 80's. My parents were very poor, but even they didn't worry about the power bills back then. So what changed? The government ran the coal burning power stations. There was no greedy 'energy market'. There were no solar farms or wind towers. Now we have the most expensive electricity in the world.

I just want rentals to be reasonable. The problem now is, rent wont revert backwards, we have to wait for wages to catch up. Also the housing shortage is an issue. We need less migration. We're full. Even government housing has gone up, but the pension hasn't. There was 1 very small ($10?) increase a while back but it was followed by another rent increase that cancelled it out.
