Such relatable podcast always gives me confidence that I've the right mindset and planning. Thanks a lot to both of you. This podcast is not less then any masterpiece.
Not only planning having a strategic plan is much more important than having only a simple plan it could be beneficial in various ways like . Finacial benefit, competitive advantages , minimising risk , optimum utilsation of resources
I liked the point when you both said that jobs or services are not suitable for them who have creative and entrepreneurial mindset otherwise they will suffocate there . Beautifully said👌
The line: To follow your passion is a luxury!! It hit me very hard , I believe it did to many too. My passion my dreams are too far away and I don’t have any basic privileges to achieve them. But yes I believe in myself may it be far away, the journey to achieve them might take me long, but yes I know that one day I will achieve them all.
Amazing inputs....The bureaucrats of India are rated one of the worst in Asia....including the IFS posted outside India..The best power statement by an IAS officer " I can make Ratan Tata wait outside my Office"...
Kehne me accha lagta hai….Ratan Tata won’t come to meet any sarkari babu….wo log itne bade log hain ki sidha minister se milte hain babu log ko to sidha minister ka call ata hai ki ye kaam ho jana chahiye….
It's such a nice podcast. The things that I have learnt from this podcast is that life is unpredictable and no body can predict that how the life will be in future. So, We should stick with our goals and believe in yourself because your believe can gives a lesson that how to face the problems that we haven't faced before. By taking experience with the problem we can face every problem of our life.
A much needed insight. This is the first thing an aspirant should look into before even stepping into deep watersof UPSC. Thankyou Ravi sir for bringing this super useful podcast. thanks a ton.

I'm not saying that being aspirant is a bad choice but for those who had failed after all their efforts should watch this masterpiece.. Thanks a lot Ravi Sir to making a difference between Perception vs Reality 🤗
This is one of most relatable and practical talk I have come across....thank you so much sir ......I appritiate your service to this beutiful country plz bring more personalities on air 😊
Yes, many IAS officers are afraid of politicians & ministers. IAS officers can't do anything when there is a high level interference. Only one options is to lick their boots from time to time when needed. There is a sense of vulnerability, insecurity, and concern among them. This fear impact their ability to perform their duties effectively. Despite having administrative power & being a backbone of administrative system they are powerless before corrupt politicians & ministers. IAS officers can only show their power to poor people that's the hard truth believe it or not ! It will require a concerted effort from citizens, civil society, and the government itself to bring about meaningful change and ensure that IAS officers are able to serve the public interest without fear or favor. Some individuals in positions of power, including IAS officers, are more interested in flaunting their status and wealth rather than serving the public interest. This phenomenon is often referred to as "status consciousness" or "VIP culture," where individuals prioritize their own prestige and privileges over the needs and welfare of the people they are supposed to serve. This kind of officer's are more concerned with projecting an image of power and status rather than actually working for the betterment of society, sad ! Not being a true public servant 🙄! It's also worth noting that many IAS officers lack the necessary domain knowledge and expertise to effectively implement policies and programs. They are not being trained well everyone is only working for money that's all. It's a classic case of "might is right," where those in positions of power use their authority to exploit and oppress those who are weaker. This are all a result of a flawed training system that prioritizes theoretical knowledge over practical skills, and fails to equip IAS officers with the necessary tools and expertise to tackle complex problems. Poor officer's☝️😞 we feel sorry for them ! 🙏
Sir thank you for this even like this type so many are there that I want to ask like - Despite so many candidates getting selected every year, the problems of the country are not getting solved. What is the reason that every candidate says that everything can be solved but why is it not getting solved? There are so many talented people who pass such a tough exam and so many leaders who make promises every year. Today the meaning of media has changed. The media which was created to listen to the problems of the public and show it to the whole country so that it can reach the government, today the same media runs after whom, sometimes an actress, sometimes an actor, sometimes a fan of a controversial leader and sometimes something else, but the thing that should be shown is that today there are many villages where quality water is not available, there are many villages where perhaps one does not even get food every day. And there are also villages where people have not even eaten vegetables for many days. Our media finds it right to show debates between leaders where leaders abuse each other but the media does not find it right to show how many problems are going on in the country so that the government can wake up and do something. Is this country backward because of us? Are we not the reason for this? If we want, our India can progress to a great extent. Talking about the water problem, there are many villages in the desert like Kaladera, Barmer, there are many villages which yearn for every drop of water. There are many IAS officers who have brilliant minds, why is it not being implemented, why is the problem still there? Now perhaps the difference between an IAS officer and a leader is ending where leaders make promises in front of everyone and the same candidate who wants to become an IAS puts his life at stake to show that he will solve this problem or that problem to get selected in the interview...
Hello sister as a fellow aspirant with very little knowledge and fair understanding i would like to tell you a potential cause for this Unlike in the interview were you just have to comeup with a good solution in reality on the ground you have obstacles. Obstacles like politicians, customs, seniority, egos to be overcome .Ofcourse positive factors like good individuals also exist. But it involves a lot of factors and will be a slow process. I dont know if India will be the best but i can tell you for sure it will be better tommorow. A handfull of honest officers grinding everyday will bring slow but sure change.I hope to part of that honest bunch and lets hope more people will join.
Thank you very much sir This podcast is very good and the best part is sharing of real life experience. Please continue this series sir. We will learn lot of things from this.
