I really like Tequila. She’s such a complex character. I’m studying to be a therapist and my professor remarked that sometimes sharing your feelings with a client like Tequila could build trust when done in the right way! I have to remind myself sometimes that Tequila is a character.

It's actually pretty deep like psychiatrists, people who help and listen to our mental problems also have depression problems which may be more severe than what we experience
Yeah you really be needing some strong mental fortitude to be going into the line of work. Listening to depressing and fucked up shit all day can really take a toll on your mental health, even if you don't already have stuff going on yourself
They’re also more likely to commit suicide. They usually have more problems and use others to outsource/project their inner issues. You’d think they would know better if they paid attention in school.
Actually the fact that therapists/counselors have survived trauma themselves can be really valuable bc it makes them more empathic. In substance abuse, for example, groups don’t usually want anything to do with a therapist who hasn’t overcome issues themselves. Who really wants to talk w a therapist who doesn’t know what it’s like to have suffered?
