Rules:
1.Your entry MUST be a physical diorama measuring roughly 30x30x30 cm or 12x12x12 inches - we are not accepting digital entries this year. Make sure to include a picture of your diorama with a ruler (or similar measuring device) of appropriate length beside it!
2.Your entry MUST be a recreation of a scene from one of the 42 Railway Series books.
3.Entries MUST be submitted before 11:59pm BST 30th June. You can only submit one, so make sure it’s as good as it can be before submission!
4.All entries will be featured during the Event’s Saturday livestream on the Talyllyn Railway’s UA-cam channel. By submitting your entry, you give your permission for your diorama to be shown during the livestream.
Don't forget to share your entries on social media too, with the hashtag #JustLikeAwdry!

I just need help with the physical setting part.
I'm so silly, I thought we couldn't submit online entries this year, but apparently we can
so
I know it says that the diorama needs to be 30x30x30 but im currently working on one thats a bit bigger
Instead its roughly 40x35x30
I hope this is okay to do because I'm already pretty far into it's construction.
I have a couple of quiestions
1. Are the goodies a britain Exlusive or World wide?
2. Can some parts of a diorama be kinda changed? For example I’m planning doing one with cars in the background, but they are a different color. Is that allowed?
3. Can the background be drawn digitally, then printed out for the background?

Well I think I would give these challenges another chance because this time I only need to send the picture on Google forms, which is much easier than mail it to you. I’m joining, but Itll take a few days.
This diorama contest will be a great swansong for my old wooden toy trains. I look forward to making my own.
Yesterday, I bought a Fourdees Dolgoch and Edward Thomas kit (plus static chassis) to model Rheneas and Peter Sam.
I’ll have a look at my books and see that scene I can recreate this year!

I've been a livelong Thomas fan, and have always wanted to visit this beautiful railway. Does anyone know the easiest way to get to Tywyn from Copenhagen Airport, by public transport? And does it require a cab ride

On awdrys layout, i saw a familiar cream colored van, and then i realized i had the exact same van! Should i put it in my diorama? (Its a little 040 van btw, and it has a red N W on it)
I have a problem. I did do the Google forms for this but the loading of the picture file I had to wait like three hours, but I couldn’t wait anymore and I gave up waiting, so please tell me there’s a quicker way to show my diorama to you because I cannot wait three hours for a single picture of a diorama to load

It looks like you can, just with a ruler to show that it fits in the size requirement.

Is 30x30x30 cm the maximum for the diorama? Or does the diorama have to be exactly those dimensions, no more and no less?

No, the main focus of the challenge is people who cannot come to the event. All the entries are included in the Saturday livestream with them announcing the winners after they have shown all of them.. There is no judging - the winners have their names picked out of a hat

So we can't send a picture of the diorama but we do have to send a picture of the diorama with an appropriate length ruler next to it but also I have a question what happens if we sign up but we come the day of the Extravaganza and bring the diorama what happened are we still able to have it on display or can it not be on display?
Do you have to make the models out of scratch, or is it going to be like last year where you can use merch to make the diorama?

Like it says in the video, to enter the challenge you just need to fill out the google form in the description - no need to have a social media account!
Does it have to be 30x30x30 or can it be around 30x30x30?
The absolute biggest it can be is 30x30x30 - you can make it smaller, but as long as it fits within that space you'll be fine

Does everything have to be handmade or can we use some existing models like hornby, Trackmaster, wooden railway etc?
Of course you can use exiting models - Caleb uses a Bachmann Rheneas in his! 😊
