Thanks for the sharing.Humans should help to protect all wildlife and wildlife habitats, so that our future generations can still see them! They are just as important as humans!

Beautiful birds, their behaviour seem like big mallards almost. Interesting to get to know them, such beauties. Cool fact about the difference in color for male and females! Keep safe birds and keepers 💕🌵

It was very nice to meet Rose and Pam and to learn about ostriches. (I think you were saying Pam; very hard to hear). They are so tall! And their eggs are huge compared to a chicken egg! I think that you have them in that yard in this video to show them well. I hope they have a much larger, more natural habitat to be in, one where they can run fast if they feel like it. Looks like you have done a very good job training them to be close to you and to be touched. I'm glad they're not afraid of you. I didn't know that ostriches lay eggs in communal nests! I wonder if, after hatching, the chicks know who their mothers are. Well, certainly something more to learn about ostriches. Thank you for teaching us about them!

most ostriches i have met seem very ornery. but rose likes dan. she let him pet her and she really liked it. she wasn't just food orientated with him, although she is interested in the lettuce. so the animals like dan. fiona adores him. he adores them back. very nice dan. thank you all for the great work you do.

Great video thanks. Many many years ago as a child I visited a zoo and was watching the ostriches when one of them did a giant crap right in front of us and my cousin turned to me with a look of awe and said 'thank God ostriches can't fly'.

Most birds have a large braincase but you should always remember. These are still wild animals and get easily spooked.

If you have an acre or two to spare, yes.
If you're in a small city appartment you'll have to do with a parrot.

evolution adaptation, makes it easy to pick things off the ground one second then run for their lives the very next
they may be big and pack one hell of a kick, but they are still prey animals and many things in their native environment think they look tasty

I'm uncomfortable with being looked down at by a huge bird. I'm never leaving the house again.
