Agreed! In Singapore, we practice pay first before eating at hawker stalls. Many of the elderly hawkers are not highly educated and they don’t believe in customer is number 1 theory. They will not mind that an unhappy customer walk off and not patronise them. Her mother’s behaviour & mannerism is uncalled for. By standing in front of the stall and scrutinised the hawker’s cooking, she just reinforced the fact that PRC generally have behavioural problems and behave badly when overseas
So there was a disagreement about filming. if you cant flim, no real point to continue. just go somewhere else. does standing in front of the chef help ? what is the purpose ? mom is purposely trying to piss people off. being disruptive or claim injury from the frying ? if the chef just stands infront of your table starting at your while you were eating. how would you feel then ?
No offense, but there are a couple of points here. I think your mom's antics triggered it. Had she not stood there to QC him, it would not have started the ball rolling. Also, some of the eateries unlike restaurants, where there are no serving personnel, no service charge, you are supposed to pay before you get your food. There were past incidences of foreigners not understanding that and created scenes. Also, from the picture you provided, that's how SG hokkien mee commonly looks like. Even in Malaysia, different states will have different ways of cooking and different tastes. Whether we enjoy a meal or not, we sometimes are driven by our moods. So with the preceding unhappiness, very unlikely you are going to accept the meal especially if it differs from your expectations based on your culture and culinary experience. Lastly, did you notice any difference between the owner's attitude with you/your mom and other locals? If there is a difference, errm then it is pretty clear ya? If not, then it is hawkers' bad attitude, a very common sight. Nothing too jaw dropping.

1) Most hawkers are not known for providing the best customer service. 2) Your mother insisted on standing there and watching him cook to "purposely" make him uncomfortable. It's not that she was interested in the cooking; she did it to agitate him. 3) Hokkien noodles use alkaline noodles, which is why they have an alkaline taste. All alkaline noodles are meant to taste like that. The food may look messy, but that's the standard for hawker food. It's not Michelin-level cuisine. Dishes like Char Kway Teow and Hokkien Noodles always have that appearance. I've seen hawkers use dirty table cloths to wipe the edges of plates to make them look cleaner, but I’d rather they not wipe them at all with those dirty cloths. 4) Did you compare his Hokkien noodles to other Hokkien noodles in Singapore before concluding that his food tastes bad? I've never been to that stall, but from the comments here, many people say his Hokkien noodles are good, though his attitude is bad. 5) There is a difference between "His Hokkien noodle is the worst Hokkien noodle in Singapore", vs "I do not like Hokkien noodle". 6) Hawkers always follow the "pay first, take food later" system. SG Hokkien noodles are nicer than Malaysian. Flavour is from prawn broth. It does not need dark soy sauce. Malaysian hokkien noodles are fried with dark soy sauce. Salty and greasy.
@@ennnzhe7766 but it is hard to find good HKM in SG nowadays. Most hawkers reduce seafood ingredients which are key to good HKM. The reason why Malaysians think their HKM is nicer is because their HKM can't go wrong, it is fried with cheap dark soy sauce. SG HKM needs a lot of seafood to be nice.

I guess she just experienced a unique hawker experience. The hawker is known to be against any videoing of his store. Her mum also have some responsibility in pissing the hawker further with her stalking him. As I shared, the HKM is messy and quality inconsistent. So, she is not going to get any good service. As for the payment, the hawker should have previous bad experience of tourists not paying for their food.

Dun bring your mum out for food tasting in the future. Even though the hawker is known to be bad tempered, your mum was hostile towards him in the beginning. So, do not expect him to be nice towards you after all the staring from your mum. The presentation of mee is messy and food is inconsistent all along if you read the food review.
Google review got 3.5star rating, no wonder. Just leave it and don't get angry for such low quality food. Actually it does not looks like Hokkien Mee. Come to Malaysia to try Hokkien Mee

那家炒福建面是因为经过媒体的宣传而出名的,老板因此吊起来卖,认为多你一个顾客也不算多,少你一个顾客也不会少,态度嚣张。实际上炒福建面在新加坡是非常普遍的,到处都可以吃到,非得到他的店去看他的脸色。组屋邻里的咖啡店里的炒福建面比他的还好吃,价格还比他的便宜,份量也比他的大。

我也是个新加坡老头。我是五年前才知道有这个店。吃了一次之后,我就知道他天下无敌。当时拜六礼拜要排对排的很长才有机会吃到他的面,而且几呼全是本国人,不乏驾奔驰宝马的也乖乖要排对。

身为本地人的我也在这店踩过雷,坦白说服务态度是真的不咋的。但在新加坡要先付钱再给食物也属正常。食物质量真没有没传说的那么好,只是他们打着用传统碳炒噱头,吃起来都是焦味。这间店早就是我永不光顾的店名单上。至于您遇到的种种不愉快,个人认为与伯母的行为有点关系,对店家的确有点挑衅的味道。 并不是每个人的修养都是那么好的。“不拿钱就没得吃”这话的确很不客气,但看看该店的服务员的相貌,像是有文化的人吗😂

作为一个在新加坡读书,工作,,的马来西亚人,我认为这服务态度和语气多少和我们普遍说话方式有联系。对于这年龄层的uncle,改变说话语气来讨好顾客,这类概念是没有的。

做为一个新加坡人,我都尽量不选择去芽笼这个地方用餐,尤其是在晚间。游客是看点击率而去,当然就比较不清楚这个地带。摊位生意好吊起来卖是一回事,他们每天接触那些声色犬马的人多了,态度也会跟着一起合流。

有些炒面盛盘后就是会有点乱,小贩中心讲求的是效率,比较没在要求好看。给两颗酸柑算是很慷慨了,很多小贩一盘只配一颗酸柑😂

2. 从以前第一任的老板起,就出了名的坏脾气,但是食物好吃,每个顾客就将就他。
3. 这是以前新加坡原味的炒福建面,可能不符合你的口味。外观和其他的老牌炒福建面没什么两样。

我去过那家店,食物味道在本地人里口碑不错的,这也就导致了店家态度问题。因为以前经常排队,有很多客人催快点,老板就不爽,言语态度有些菱角。但不是针对你一个,他应该就是习惯了这种态度和语气。然后我去吃的时候,因为没有人,他还不炒,让我在一边等,等到有好几个客人来点单之后他才一起炒一大锅,也是先给钱,后拿食物的。我说这么多只是想让你别往心里去,他不是真的你们,只是习惯了这种态度和语气,来吃东西,点单,吃完就走,这里是没有服务的。
好奇怪!片主一早说了会尊重店家,不给拍就不拍,那即是你沒有先问问店家而开拍了??应要先徵求店家但妳沒有这样做,自己已经犯错,还反过來投诉店家沒尊重妳,应要好声来告知妳此店不给拍吗?

No offense, but there are a couple of points here. I think your mom's antics triggered it. Had she not stood there to QC him, it would not have started the ball rolling. Also, some of the eateries unlike restaurants, where there are no serving personnel, no service charge, you are supposed to pay before you get your food. There were past incidences of foreigners not understanding that and created scenes. Also, from the picture you provided, that's how SG hokkien mee commonly looks like. Even in Malaysia, different states will have different ways of cooking and different tastes. Whether we enjoy a meal or not, we sometimes are driven by our moods. So with the preceding unhappiness, very unlikely you are going to accept the meal especially if it differs from your expectations based on your culture and culinary experience. Lastly, did you notice any difference between the owner's attitude with you/your mom and other locals? If there is a difference, errm then it is pretty clear ya? If not, then it is hawkers' bad attitude, a very common sight. Nothing too jaw dropping.

@ there’s a lot of ill intentioned passive aggressive attacks as social media blew up. Not really a wise thing to just hear one side of the story. Probably not this person but definitely experienced others. Also there’s ppl making fake accounts to do bad reviews (totally irrelevant to whatever happened) just out of spite. Also knew of some assholes (just found out they gotten jailed recently); they will fake events and opinions and just trash ppl they’re pissed at. We can’t just believe everything on a superficial scale. There’s many ppl who act innocent with malice intentions.

我就说我和公司的同事去广州出差去了一家当地韩国餐馆的经验!因为我们公司有一位女同事不吃猪肉点的菜都是鸡肉和海鲜!我们还可以跟那位服务员说不要有猪肉!过后上菜了还是有看到烤猪肉和每个碗汤里都有!因为都是要他们厨房帮我们做好再拿出来,然后就投诉了叫帮忙换了这些菜.餐馆的经理就走过来就问那位服务员然后经理就在他的旁边说,他们是马来那边的人吗?只有我听得懂广东话!我知道他描述的是什么意思,这样的态度是歧视人吗?这是在2015年..广州天河区的某某商场....不知道那家韩国餐馆还有在吗!
有些新加坡人或马来西亚劳工确实会对中国大陆人和自己的政府怀有敌意。因为时代变了世界也变了所以国家政策也变了,大陆下来旅游的人和做高薪工作的移民也对他们来说实在是太多了。新加坡是个很小的地方当遇到如此大的世局转变部分人难免会有所不开心。加上有些游客的行为也是恶劣的所以久了就形成了偏见和仇视心理。你遇到一个内心不快乐和健康的人也只能说你倒霉了。

Hi Miss: I. U. Mast know. 如果店家说:不能拍妳不拍摄就没事。原因都是妳们国内的人们到访大部份都住意本地条款;不尊重别人的的感受大声说话;别人在排队她们她们说孩子们上前去排队拍照效果领人感觉不快乐这就是的结果.请你们的反 思。
1 ,在此地生活三十多年了,从來沒聽說這家店。2, 許多店家不讓拍有他的道理,你在拍攝之前有無先偵求店家的意見,你母親的行為頗具挑釁的意為,神馬拍攝是幫你宣傳,這根本是那種花錢就是大爺的中國式思維,很多人不吃這一套。3,本地小販中心先付錢再拿食物是行規。4,進食時心情絕對影響味蕾。
没吃过这家店的,但是遇到过其他脾气不好的摊贩。遇到后也一样不会再去吃了,毕竟也不想花钱被骂。
但同时令慈的行为确实挺挑衅的,以及不付款不拿食物是小贩的规则。虽然有些摊贩不计较,但是可能令慈的行为会让他态度更恶劣。我不赞同老板的行为,但也不怎么赞同令慈的反应。
最后若是这个摊位是中国网红介绍的,那我在这里强力建议不要找中国网红的旅行景点介绍。我之前有中国朋友来新加坡旅游给我看了她的美食清单,介绍的都是一些我这个本地人没看过的。介绍的时间也有错误,例如早中市的地方晚上才去。
我觉得最好询问本地人,或搜本地网红介绍。新加坡的reddit也有非常多热情的本地人有大把的个人最爱不会藏私。也可以依据个人需求寻问更贴切自身喜好的景点/美食(例如欢迎拍摄的店家)。

我是马来西亚观众 一直喜欢看你的视频,但这个视频我真的无法苟同,设身处地的想一想,你身为店家不让拍,对方还挑衅的站在你前面看你炒菜(是你你受得了?)。内地话叫找机会“碰瓷”,不让拍就坐会原位等食物来就好了,何必呢?先激怒人家,还很有理的说对方语气 “先” 无理 .....
另外:新马两地一直有食物那家正宗,那家原始, 那家先发明 之争。我个人见解,唯独你视频里的新加坡福建面(新加坡虾面)只有新加坡最正宗,其他食物皆是马来西亚好吃, 反对无效。
整件事的起因就是你想拍他不想被拍结果在表达时效果不佳而种下了梁子。如果是只有你一个人去吃事件应该也没后续了。坏就坏在你身边还有母亲而母亲的性格又是比较冲的那一型选择跑去表达不满引发了更多后续事件。当面炒好后食欲和心情都已经荡然无存了。有的只是一把火。
以上是事件的经过。谁对谁错或大家错在哪里你们可以慢慢反思。我自己个人是认为你们两方都有错。一个喜欢玩手机一个又没什么礼貌和好脾气。两类我其实都不喜欢啦哈哈 。😂
不过有样事情需更正一下。南洋福建炒虾面的卖相基本上都是这个样的,都是上来时一坨乱乱湿湿滑滑的样子的。所以不能说是那个老板故意整你们或炒的不好吃,当然也没怪你们只是说你们对这道面不熟悉罢了。还有这面你要吃的好吃和吃出味道你需要把这面搅拌的更乱和难看才会吃出它的味道出来。就是把辣椒和挤出来的酸甘汁和面混在一起吃的。这面本身的特质和吃法就是这个样子的。😄
其實都還沒付錢可以隨時取消的、心裡有些不舒服可以直接走真的沒問題並且就不會有下半場了!說真的咖啡店或是小販中心的福建麵的外觀就是如此而並沒什麼不好看的問題,基本上不是兩三步的距離問題而已一路來小吃檔都是先付錢後拿餐的、國情不同的關係、換個角度老板也認為你既然來拿餐了為什麼不帶$先付呢?就比喻在日本古老式泡溫泉一樣、他們也是有許多規矩限制、如果外國人不留意觸犯了也是會遭到當地人罵、先了解一下他國文化、多多體諒就好。
这档的面好吃是好吃但我不会去吃因为摊主不友善也真的是事实。这档的面买点在于是用昂贵的木炭来煮出古早味的。这是它的优点。缺点是老板不友善。我不知道是他本身的问题还是你们太多人把他给惹烦了。你去点他的面时你最好知道自己要的是什么和愿意给他定的开价要不然你自己看着办吧。他有一定的功力也有了足够多的名气和客户群。这些他自己是知道的,他不需要人去帮他做广告,你看他做生意他不喜欢跟不熟的人讲话的他只想做他的工作。你在等面时最好别问些有的没的,要点吃时别想太久挡着后面的人还有别埋怨他卖的贵。你不被喷我会觉得意外。

2. 根據你的視頻內容,你本人並沒有聽到老闆怎麼說,你只是根據你媽媽的轉述,而你亦清楚表明,你媽本身也不是善男信女。我不會說你媽媽說謊,但根據你的視頻內容你是完全沒有聽到老闆怎麼說的。你沒有聽清楚老闆怎麼說,而只憑你媽的片面之辭辨認定老闆說了什麼,這是極不負責任的。
3. 至於味道,環境,賣相,這個完全關係到客戶的個人觀感和看法,你作為客戶是絕對有權作出你自己嘅看法的。
我自己的個人看法是,你因護母心切,已經失去了客觀思考能力了。你有權吐槽這間店,而我亦將會吐槽這條片!

我去武汉住几个星期, 回来新加坡发现新加坡的食物都变淡了, 尤其是炒河粉和福建炒虾面. 新加坡食物偏淡。
1) Most hawkers are not known for providing the best customer service.
2) Your mother insisted on standing there and watching him cook to "purposely" make him uncomfortable. It's not that she was interested in the cooking; she did it to agitate him.
3) Hokkien noodles use alkaline noodles, which is why they have an alkaline taste. All alkaline noodles are meant to taste like that. The food may look messy, but that's the standard for hawker food. It's not Michelin-level cuisine. Dishes like Char Kway Teow and Hokkien Noodles always have that appearance. I've seen hawkers use dirty table cloths to wipe the edges of plates to make them look cleaner, but I’d rather they not wipe them at all with those dirty cloths.
4) Did you compare his Hokkien noodles to other Hokkien noodles in Singapore before concluding that his food tastes bad? I've never been to that stall, but from the comments here, many people say his Hokkien noodles are good, though his attitude is bad.
5) There is a difference between "His Hokkien noodle is the worst Hokkien noodle in Singapore", vs "I do not like Hokkien noodle".
6) Hawkers always follow the "pay first, take food later" system. So, what he said about paying for food first is CORRECT.
7) In your video, you mentioned that you only heard ”这是什么态度“. "没给钱就没得吃“ is what your mum told you when she is back to your table.
8) This kind of food is cooked batch by batch, not plate by plate. So the boss is not against you.
9) The only negative thing I can say is that the Hokkien noodles are expensive at $10 a plate-unless $10 is for two plates.
10) If you do not like the food, just say that you personally do not like the food. Please do not instigate all your viewers to boycott our local hawkers who are working hard. Our hawkers has a family to feed.

SG Hokkien noodles are nicer than Malaysian. Flavour is from prawn broth. It does not need dark soy sauce. Malaysian hokkien noodles are fried with dark soy sauce. Salty and greasy.

@@ennnzhe7766 but it is hard to find good HKM in SG nowadays. Most hawkers reduce seafood ingredients which are key to good HKM. The reason why Malaysians think their HKM is nicer is because their HKM can't go wrong, it is fried with cheap dark soy sauce. SG HKM needs a lot of seafood to be nice.

Every Singaporean has their go-to Fried Hokkien Mee - it's a matter of personal preference. I've eaten at Swee Guan several times, and honestly, it's not my favourite. I guess she just experienced a unique hawker experience. The hawker is known to be against any videoing of his store. Her mum also have some responsibility in pissing the hawker further with her stalking him. As I shared, the HKM is messy and quality inconsistent. So, she is not going to get any good service. As for the payment, the hawker should have previous bad experience of tourists not paying for their food.

美女,看妳的空姐频道很久了,没想到妳来新加坡玩了。新加坡欢迎妳。 可惜没碰见妳。 其实新加坡这种福建面就是这样的,抄完一滩的浦在盘上面。 新加坡还有许多不同的“福建面” 欢迎多尝试。 还有这里许多生意好的摊主(吃的)坦白说目前为止很多都是态度很糟糕的。有些由富二代接手那种态度更是让人想诅咒他早点收铺那种。服务行业众所周知。
老板说不给钱就不让吃的时候,你就应该马上走!让老板气得干瞪眼,出门在外,要有点痞气在身上,否则很容易被欺负,我曾经在巴黎掌掴小偷,在莫斯科呵斥混混,一点都没在怕的,你要跟你妈学一下,人善被人欺,马善被人欺,咱不欺负别人,也绝不能让别人欺负!
我个人是从不会去网红店吃东西,走到哪里就那里吃,凡事都有俩面,说到态度方面视频上的人看到的只是单方的说词,不会去批评谁对谁错只会把这类视频看一下过了就算,我们的资政李显龙说过媒体的力量很可怕很容易把人带风向,他们政府不想过度的监控管制但强调劝导新加坡人民要有自辩的能力去解读,博主口中说无意要抹黑但特意做一个视频来说这件事情行动上就是要拉黑这间店,他的东西好不好吃人品好不好我没吃过也没去过不知道,但我知道很多事情眼见不一定为实更何况不是眼见,太多的未知数。

east coast branch is nicer and friendly. I recall geylang branch is not great and the boss is not very friendly.

Dun bring your mum out for food tasting in the future. Even though the hawker is known to be bad tempered, your mum was hostile towards him in the beginning. So, do not expect him to be nice towards you after all the staring from your mum. The presentation of mee is messy and food is inconsistent all along if you read the food review.

我在这里吃了差不多10年,每个星期都几乎会吃一次,味道都是好吃,从来没有不一样。而且要排队,有时要等一个小时,大家都愿意排队,而且从来都没有这种不愉快的经历。如果因为你不喜欢店家而这样抹黑,你这样做很过分,还有的是新加坡都是要付费了才能吃,这是正常的呀,你不付费,还想先拿食物,有问题的是你们吧!
老板说不给钱就没有面的时候,就可以走了啊,你就说没有钱,他还损失一碗面。

1)我喜欢攝影,通常会先问店家可以不可以拍,才开始拍!
2)先付钱才拿食物,这是很多食阁的操作包括快餐店!如果店里有写明,也没什么好吐槽的😂因为客人如果太多,会很容易忘了谁还没付款!
3)老板态度不好,又还没付钱就马上cancel自己的order吧!或是吃后,再去Google 给恶评!也不需要太生气😂

看了视频感受如下:1)你母亲的态度有问题,不能说她的性格本来就是这样。2)新加坡的福建面卖相就是这样,没什么好不好看的,不懂不要乱批评。3)店是你自己 选的,没人逼你去,觉得老板态度不好立马走人,无需多留,哪怕食物有多美味。4)出门在外旅游,总会碰到不如意事,这也算是一种体验(当然没有最好)。总结:你在新加坡游玩的视频我都看了,你也品尝到很多美食,评论也很中肯,过程也没不愉快,希望你不要因为这事影响你对新加坡的看法;好人坏人,好事坏事哪里都有,过去了。。。一笑置之。😊
