@@John6-40 it may sound controversial but I think he might have been better than Lebron if you consider the era he played in , the conference he dominated and the limited supporting cast that he had. I think Lebron is only better at passing where Karl was still ahead other power forwards in that category. Karl Malone was an athletic Jokic with a bit less basketball IQ.
@@jacob1-b9j Malone was actually a pretty decent passer too, If he wasn't on a team with a good point guard, he probably would have ran the offense for his team and turned into a great passer.
Duncan was a center. He himself says that. He played PF only after Robinson. Why you people insist that a 7 footer who only Shaq was stronger than him according to NBA measurments, refer to him as PF? Malone is the best PF of all time and Giannis is on his way to surpass him.
You're right. Dan Patrick referred to Duncan calling himself a center on a different episode I was watching. Duncan is a top 5 CENTER of all time (Kareem, Hakeem, Wilt, and Russell above with Admiral being more or less comparable).
@@kthompson3394 Some mistakes should not happen. Don't make excuses for what he did. He's a great player, but that doesn't change the fact that he did what he did. It's not just a simple mistake.
The biggest reason he rarely scored 40 was he was not a three point shooter, and a good chunk of his career points (just under 10,000) came from the line. In fact, he's still the all-time leader in free throws made and attempted. It's hard to score 40 when a quarter to a third of your points are on one point shots.
Karl Malone is the greatest PF of all time, though I could certainly see Charles Barkley being argued for that title as well. KM had the more consistent, longer overall prime while being a stronger presence on both ends including the ability to solidly guard centers like Shaq and The Admiral. Barkley (and Garnett) was the more explosive rebounder as well as playmaker but was defensively not consistently engaged. Garnett, while the better rim protector and passer, was so far lesser as a #1 option for scoring or longevity. Dirk, while mostly a PF and had that incredible title run, was far lesser of a defender, rebounder, passer, and singularly dominant force. Tim Duncan is one of the greatest CENTERS (10/19 seasons listed as a center and others he functionally played the position as the primary rim protector) of all time. Because of his early years with Robinson, people have extrapolated Duncan not being the center. Same could be said about Olajuwon as a co-center in his early years with Ralph Sampson.
I don’t know actually. League still has great bigs and post up players would be trapped in today’s NBA due to it not being the era anymore. However he would definitely put up 20+ per game.
