Hahaha, sometimes kit reviews can be a bit boring. This one here definitely wasn't. Very entertaining, Harry. I enjoyed it a lot! :) Jens EDIT: I should give you one or two more thumbs up for your remarks on "rivet counting", mate!!! Exactly my opinion!
Looks like a good kit mate, but was there a small circular part missing from the bottom left of sprew C? It might have fallen off the sprew and is sitting in the box, but there seemed to be a gap where there should not be one?????? Hopefully all is well and you will have some fun with the Spitfire, best of luck mate.
Hi Chris.. Back when I was discussing kit prices I realised if I said “dollar” most would assume USD which can be almost double the value of our Australian Dollar... so to round things out I call 10 Australian Dollars a Shekel... so for me a $40 AUD kit is 4 Shekels. Many other international modellers took up the simple conversion rate as well so we all have a common way to describe a price without being confused with which “dollar” it refers to. Here are the simple average conversion rates. Shekel conversions 4 Shekels = $30 USD 3 Shekels = $20 Euros 2 Shekels = £10 Pounds 1 Shekel = $10 AUD 1 Shekel = 800 Yen 1 Shekel = 500 Rupees 1 Shekel = 500 Rubles
+Michael Hoffman thanks for that... And I figured out the BS is for British Standard.. Both are referenced in iModelkit so I can work out a mix from paints I have to match.
Nice review of an old kit. Academy can be hit or miss, but this one looks good. Thanks for sharing!
+Tony's Scale Modeling yes you are right.. They are a lottery, but for this one at least, I seem to have a winning ticket.
