We used to do something like this on my family’s property, no built buggy’s though. At the time the property was recently mined and had a good steep hill that was all mud for about 1/8 mile. We raced heads up with trucks and jeeps to see who was the king of the hill. Was a real good time the first time then the word got around and the next time we did it there were about 25 trucks and jeeps. My field beater 302 5 speed F150 was the undefeated champ, that truck was freakishly fast for what it was and just seemed to hook. Then my family seen what was happening on their property and it got shut down quickly. That was over 10 years ago now and my buddy’s still talk about how much fun we had.
Sounds like fun and a potential lawsuit waiting to happen. You cant trust people anymore one dumbass getting hurt would sue and destroy your family and the fun.

That last rig just goes to show the importance of a good tire, the boggers just made that look easy compared to everyone else running regular TSL's and Krawlers.
Why larger wheels in front on some of these vehicles? Is that specifically for conditions like this or is it something common I'm just noticing for the first time? Anyone know?

Sbong- on slick hills like this, wheel speed is everything. The faster the tire is spinning, the more mud gravity is flinging off the tread patterns, thus giving more traction. In dry conditions, yes, slower is better.These guys all have 600+hp in these turbo LS motors, but they have at least 5.26 gears toping their sped out to like 40mph. The mud becomes too much for the tires and they lose traction cause the tires get caked up.
