As an artist, I love visiting art museums. For the sake of enjoying art, it would be great if people focus on looking at the works rather than taking selfies with the art. Also keeping a quiet environment is much preferred to people talking loudly or allowing their children to run around in the galleries.

My favorite period of art was influenced by both geopolitics and technology. In 1854, Perry forcibly opened Japan to the West. The Japanese arts swept through Western Europe, influencing Parisian artists. The asymmetry and solid blocks of color inspired the Impressionists. In technology, the 1830's saw Daguerre invent and popularize photography. The standard of art had been how realistic it was; that was no longer a valid gauge. Artists sought to show what a stiff B&W photo could not. They showed the movement of light, for instance, shimmering light on the water. And an emphasis on color that was impossible through the crude photographs of the time. Art doesn't stand alone; it is a product of its time.

Im surprised that she didn't take a few minutes to learn how to pronounce the museum 's name properly, it's not that difficult 😊
I compared this Impressionist exhibition with the similar reaction to the July 2024 Paris Olympic opening ceremony. People spreading rumors on the negativity, how bad it was based on their religion view, it was a failure etc. we can see it with our own eyes that the opening ceremony eas creative, integrated the French art , culture and history. Remember that the Mona Lisa was in the minions hands under water!?? The painting, statues came to live?
The Impressionist artists must have felt that way, people movked their work, ignored them. Only 100 years later, what these artists did were ahead of their time, Avant Guard! Its became a new moment, and it's part of art history!
For my art history class, i memorized the artists with a little trick...😊
    Manet
"A" came first, so Manet was the one who painted the Picnic In athe Park nudes
    Monet
    "O" is after the "a"
The artist who painted the Impression Sun, Water Lilies etc😊

These " reporters" are often the most ignorant people. 😂
The people likely to go to the exhibit already know how revolutionary the impressionists were.
