Robert Chanclor Hi Robert, Many thanks. I learnt a lot in making this video - Onduvilla is really easy to lay and I think that it will be better than many other types of product in high winds. It is a little more expensive than normal Onduline corrugated roofing but is so much better that I will certainly use it on my next outbuilding project. Cheers. Peter

Yet another excellent video Peter, thanks for sharing your findings.
Guess you'll also get the job of replacing the cladding on your chums building before too long, lol.
    Cheers and all the best
    Tony(FOG Fesmule).

antonoat Hi Tony, Many thanks - we do each other favours from time to time but I think I might steer clear of more work on his building. Cheers. Peter

Interesting roofing product....have not seen it over here across the pond. Looks like a great alternative for a shed or other out building. Thanks!

Robert Smith Hi Robert, When I had my afternoon cup of tea I told my wife that when I make our next shed or outbuilding I will do two things...first I will use plywood (or similar) sheeting to make the roof more simple to make and I will certainly use Onduvilla. My friend's huge shed had over 40 sheets of the old material to remove along with about 900 nails and I made sure that was all in tidy piles before I started laying the Onduvilla. It only took 2 1/2 days to remove the old stuff and lay the Onduvilla - and I did it on my own and I am not far from my 65th birthday! Peter

Thank you so much for the video.
I’m doing something very similar to your project here. I have some measurements issues when it comes to the distance between the strips where the screws fix the tiles.
I see there should be 32 cm to the center between each other but the math fails me when it comes to the 27 cm between the first and second ones (I assume it’s to allow the 5 cm hangover). First, it’s not clear in the official brochure if you should measure the 27 cm starting from the center of the first stripe or from the bottom. It seems to be a little vague in the brochure and still not really very clear in your video. I’m drawing everything first to make sure all measurements align but my drawings don’t match the instructions. If I do 27 cm there I end up with a 7 cm hangover. If I make the adjustment the distance changes to 29 cm. The same thing happens when I lay out the actual tiles on the floor. Am I missing something here?

If in doubt just lay a pair of sheets on the ground with the required overlap and then measure. That way you will get it spot on - it is what I did. Peter

Hm, you guessed you'd probably end up doing most of the job yourself, but not all of it. Where was your friend? Reminds me of a Mark Twain story about Tom Sawyer painting a fence ;) The roofing material does look interesting, never seen it here on the west coast U.S. but haven't looked specifically.

Michael Anderson Hi Michael, The weather was better than expected and so I started a day early. My friend was behind with a job for a customer and I did not mind. I had thought that his large shed would take a week but was amazed at how quick and easy Onduvilla was to lay -- all done in just 2 1/2 days. Another advantage of Onduvilla that I did not mention in the film is that every sheet has 12 screws (or nails) holding it down and so it should be extremely good in a storm. Peter
