Thanks so much for this video. I live in Georgia but my parents live in Narvon, PA (Lancaster County) on Division Hwy. Made me feel like I was there. They live just down the road from Shady Maple Smorgasbord and Market. Have visited there many times over the last 18 years
Thanks for sending me back to a memory of taking an Amish carriage ride with my Mom who had lost her sight. The driver had her sit next to him and he explained all the colors of the fields and what was growing etc. He explained how the local cobbler had lost his sight and explained to Mom how to fold her money so she knew what was a single, five etc. It really is a beautiful part of the country and for sure you can't beat Shady Maples. Thanks again!

Sorry. The video was around a hour and a half so to show most of the drive we speeded it up 5 times. To make it 17 minutes. We might do one at regular speed sometime but people won't see as much or watch it that long. Appreciate your comment 😎😎
We know that. Where we live everyone pronounces it the way we say it. We are used to that. Just like other towns pronounced different like Berlin, Strasburg which is pronounced different ways where you live. Strasburg Pa is pronounced almost like using a z.
Nice video. I know many of these places. Been here since 79. I just wish visitors would learn 2 things. 1. Not all buggies are Amish, we have old order Mennonite and a few other sects that use buggies, 2. Learn how to pronounce the names of our towns. Drives me nuts when people ask how to get to "Le tits ". No it's lititz. We aren't French.
We love this area. Alot of great places to eat and very relaxing out in the country. The hardest thing filming there is trying not to film the Amish when we go in the restaurants. We wanted to do one place and asked them and they said no they didn't want to be on you tube. We ask the Amish businesses before we film. Thanks for info and watching. 😎😎
Done by everyone different than passing a car in this area. 😎😎 The buggy sometimes travels at 5mpg. I speeded up this video when you watched so it looks like we are going faster.
This is speeded up 5 times faster on the video than what we are going. I turned a hour of driving into 17 minutes by doing this. People that watch us all the time know we do this in all our videos. Didn't explain this because I thought you could tell by watching it and seeing everything move faster including the horses. We are always safe in this area. Knew nobody would watch a hour of driving if I didn't speed it up plus you see more of the country side. This is called hyperspeed in editing. And we used the stop signs.

LOL. Here you have to because you can't get around them. They get off the road as far as they can and when safe you pass them. It's done here regular by everyone not just us.😎😎
