@MXway you said assists off, but i cansee the AW (Antil wheelie) light come on and hear the engine cut power to bring the front wheel down. Can u turn AW all the way off, or does the game always keep some of assist on regardless of what it says?
Nevermind. I can see you have AW set on 2. You didnt have the assists off. Glad to see u are not using the race line anymore though. That will make you better in the end
bigtwinz32 the game has assists and electronics. Assists are extra aids, electronics are realistic aids, just like modern race cars have electronic aids. You can switch off all realistic electronic aids, but that does not make the simulation more realistic. A car that uses TC in reality should not have to switch it off in a game for the sake of “more difficult is more real” because in fact that’s “more difficult more real”. Making things more difficult is not per definition increasing realism. Simulation is about simulating real world conditions.
You are correct on all of that. I asked the question because the ride and motogp games from milestone are some of my favorite when they release a good one. They differ year to year though, and the last 3 of them, switching off anti wheelie would never fully disable a built in assist to prevent the bike from wheelieing past a certain point. While most people may not prefer or care, it kills the fun for me. I wanted to know if this ride 4 had those restrictions built in or not. By the way, i bought the game and it does NOT. Anti wheelie switched off, means off. You can back flip a 1000cc bike in 4th gear in under a second if you arent anticipating the wheel to lift and cut throttle. Its great.
