Lake Louise is another 35 minutes down the road and even further to be recommended. Also in the area is Fernie, but that is a separate trip. And the town of Banff (best place to stay if skiing Sunshine or Louise) is worth the trip even in the summer. No mountain resort anywhere in the world has anything on Banff, Sunshine, and Lake Louise. Parking is a problem at Sunshine on the weekends though so if you are staying in Banff take the bus.

I once fell off a black mountain when I was like 8 or 9. It was 54 meters, and was 70% steep, I wasnt hurt or anything and we had a good laugh about it, but i slid down the whole mountain with like 25 k/m

Hey be honest, us as kids learning to ski we all took spills like this. Even though I crashed I still loved the whole experience and was not to be deterred. As an adult I loved teaching my kids to ski. It was some of best family time we’ve ever had together. It was the wife who was the party pooper.
Don't trash this stuff unless if you know what you're talking about. At this point in racing you don't necessarily need one but they are used to prepare yourself for ski racing later on. Skiing in one of them versus a coat and snow pants is a whole different experience and needs time to get used to and comfortable in.
3:10-3:19 is a typical skier who thing they are good, but this is the worst way to ski- pushing your back tips ot like that is completely wrong however a lot of people do this

I remember skiing when I was younger… I would literally go FULL speed down the mountain and I didn’t know how to stop.. so I usually just crashed into my parents. But now that I am older I am better at skiing now.
That one kid smacking his head on the wooden sign though, alongside the one who crashed into the lift. Probably would have hurt wayyyy more if they didn't have one.
i think the problem was that they held the chair back for too long so when they released it, the chair had to catch up with the grip causing it to swing forward and launch the kids off the lift.
I’m desperately trying to find footage of my fall while skiing. I was 9 and I was on the most difficult hill on the place we went to. I was going fast and I saw a soft pile of snow in front of me. I tried turning but instead I started going SIDEWAYS downhill without slowing down. The next thing I remember was I was in TERRIBLE pain and my skis were a long walk up the hill, dug into the snow. I sprained my kneecap. Worst injury I ever had.
I’ve been skiing since I was 3 and I’m 12 now and you really shouldn’t give kids sticks until there fully able to control their speed and can stop them selves on a hill by turning

I totally got dragged like the kid at 00:26 up a t bar in Breckinridge all the way up to the top whole everyone laughed at me from behind and goin down the slopes hahah. I feel for you kid
One time when I was getting off the lift, my pole strap got stuck on the restraint bar and I didn't notice, and I got off, and only then I noticed one of my poles was missing... thankfully they stopped the lift just in time to let me untangle the strap. That was the last time I will let my pole get stuck on the chair.
