Madonna is known for her theatric shows. It's not easy to put on a performance like that; many singers who don't even do 1% of her choreography don't sing live.

I am bored by many artists. I have never spent one moment commenting on videos about them to say they're boring. Look how much time you've spent trying to not just express your opinion (which is fair), but to try to make others feel stupid for not being as bored as you are. We aren't bored by this. We love it. Madonna is as stated in this very Q/A a hardworking woman - she demands the best of herself before expecting it from anyone else. The fact that she owns her achievements as well as what she perceives as her weaknesses makes her that much more admirable.
I'm not even a fan like most people claim to be, but witnessing her career, that of someone who has unarguably changed western culture, and public perception on LGBT issues has been simply great.
Why did you put that gross blurry filter over the video? I guess you were trying to enhance the video, but it only takes away from it. Now I feel like I have Vaseline over my eyes while I'm watching it

Marcos: That's an overstatement. She absolutely does sing live. Does she sing live 100% of the time? No way. But I think it's easy to hear when she's singing it live, which was often during MDNA (not the first couple of songs, though, which was a bad way to kick it off). She sings live always during her one-off performances at charity gigs, etc., too. Madonna's voice is not flawless or anything, but it's out there, she sings.

Oh don't worry, I've only been following Madonna's career for long enough to get it just fine. What you perceive (or excuse) as being cheeky, I can see right through. When it comes to Madonna, there has always been a fine line between her being funny, charming, sardonic, condescending and arrogant. Who knows, perhaps it's due to all the ass-kissing by this very boring, uninspiring crowd?

Yes, she does sort of sing live (over the pre-recorded vocals) on every tour which is quite understandable considering all the awesome dancing she does during her fast songs. The only times she actually sings live without any additional help is during her ballads. :)

And Dietrich was not a good singer in any classical sense, and was considered vulgar herself in her day. In fact, she called her own output "kitsch! kitsch! kitsch!" dismissing her own achievements on the stage. At the time she was commenting on Madonna, the irrefutably iconic Dietrich was old, bitter and drunk, a recluse, which is a shame. I suggest you watch the amazing doc "Marlene" for some context.

It is really refreshing to hear that someone who is a fan doesn't like this sort of behavior.
I understand that this level of fame must be tiresome however, without her loyal fan base M would be another moderately talented wannabe.
