    As an army vet, I can tell you. I am a warrior. Not a has been, I'm still on my game. Physically and skill wise. Training every week. You don't understand trauma and the levels of trauma. Some people's worst trauma is having their daddy locked up and being poor, living in the hood, mom hooke on drugs. Some other people's trauma is having half your squad die on patrol. Surviving and still having to go out on patrol for the next 3 months. Killing or surviving, same difference. Other people's trauma is both of those combined, like me. You don't understand trauma while it's happening. Only afterward do you understand what you actually went through and how toxic it made you. Trauma is like a slow killing emotional poison. Dosent let you love right.

      @EverythingKevo Obsession and practice. Repetition. What's keeping me ok is obssesing about things I like. Practicing nonstop. I just try to ALWAYS be busy. And the time I'm not busy, I'm busy for someone else, like my family, whether loving them, providing for them, or playing with them. I'm just always busy. I obsess about anything zi get in to. To a ridiculous degree. It's not a cure, I'm not healed. This is just the way I found to go through life in a way that doesn't hurt me or others. I have no idea what it actually takes to cure it or if it's even possible.

      That’s a fact. Only once you’re older and mature, and can reminisce. That’s when you realize how fk*d up stuff was. Or when you change environments and see how everyone else is living. I’ll never tell my traumas tho, purely for the reason of not wanting to hear anyone’s opinion. Only thing that really matters is who’s willing to die bout it, so there’s no point in going there if I want a future.

    Here's the thing, when we vent it or express these emotions there are no safe place for us. It's vulnerable to express these hurtful emotions and people don't know how to wisely desifur the pain from foolishness. People use it as a weapon to lable and judge you. If they had or would have a heart to see the true underlying issues and really help work through those issues, then we can begin to break free from those chains of bondage

    Everyone has different trauma. The difference is some people have the support system to help you.They help you see the problem and work on it.Woody lost his mom as a teen already growing up in the hood one of the worst in the city.People always look at what you do instead of why you did it.You can see the pain in his eyes til this day.Black people often dont feel comfortable talking to a therapist especially when they don't look like us.It's hard to get someone who hasnt experienced any part of your struggles or even observed it first hand to understand.

    • @tedadeer5985
      @tedadeer5985 3 місяці тому

      That’s really traumatic, Woody needs healing power. We need to stop saying and thinking it so bad to seek and reach out to someone like a therapist or receive mentorship from a positive individual. We need to promote speaking and using our words more. speak about our issues instead of keeping them bottled up. Releasing our struggles, releasing our fears releasing our doubts and disappointments are ways to close an old chapter so that we can start new ones and create a solid and healthy foundation.

It took us to bump our head multiple times before we learned on our own. And yeah, most of us like this where hard headed, but mostly because we felt like we had to be. I grew up in the Crack Era of the 90s. I had no father and my mother was on Crack. So, who was supposed to teach me? And there wasn't no damn internet like it is now. We feel you, but what say you to people with WORSE trauma and found their way out through positive means without guidance? Should we not want the best for our people? It’s not asking to much for people to at least look for a positive way from their situations. Giving people grace is one thing, but saying without guidance we can’t expect them to handle their trauma responsibly is an excuse. We don’t have to persecute those people but we absolutely can encourage them to be better. You need to expect greatness from yourself and stop making excuses at a point and just face the trauma. It was never said to be easy but those substances are avoidant to the issue.

Ironically, more often than not it's the ppl who haven't seen anything I would count as traumatic sit on their asses and talk the most shit about what others should do about their trauma. Also contradicting themselves saying shit like "everyone's trauma is different". Then that would mean everyone's means of dealing with it is different. The attitude of "I got through mine get through yours" helps no one. Alot of these talkers should just stfu. Save that shit for your kids. Chatty patty ass niggas.

    This is mental health. The system is meant to keep us down. I was a felon and had two misdemeanor charges. That was in 2006. Today, im a full-stack web developer/programmer self-taught. I make 135k a year as a SR. Developer. You dont have to stay in the system. Keep ya head low, stay patient and grind.

      Everyone goes through their own trauma. You sound like you enabling that as an excuse. Everyone makes their own choices their people who’ve been through similar and made different decisions. Our community is messed up because ppl want to view the world the way they think it should be instead of what the truth is. Stop being a victim and be the change

      It sounds like you used to be stupid and..... I think there's still some residual stupidity left in there. Or at least a lot of ignorance. A boys frontal lobe doesn't develop until mid 20s I believe. Furthermore it's been proven I've and time again that the system is rigged in favor of our enemies. Once upon a time you were a brave young man looking to find your way in a world that declared war on you before you were even born. The system beat your mind into submission and now your not only proud to be a broken slave to the system but u have the Nerve to think you're better than the young men Still in the Same fire that YOU faced. How quickly we forget where we cam e from. U need to check yourself, bro. You wasn't perfect Then and you damn sure ain't perfect now. Pardon my aggressive and slightly offensive reply but it hurts more to see someone who has been victimized y this society and it's legal system talk down on those still enduring this ugly society.
