Always thought Dead Sea was a sad song until my, now husband, and I have listened to it over and over again and then that was our first dance song. It became a sweet song to us. "I dont gamble, but you and cats that's just not right." We almost die/cry laughing every time we hear that lyric. It is just so funny to realize that it is a break-up song instead of a "never sink" song, like our relationship is the " dead sea and we wont sink with me". Either way we love the Lumineers and literally everything they have put out is amazing.
I feel the same I listen to The Lumineers when I'm exercising playing golf clean my apartment or just on one of those lovely sunny days in Mid spring they are a great band full of life even leader of the landslide just love them
@@zadievc3973 Treated her like garbage When they were up and coming he didnt have an issue, but when they started getting bigger and she was garnering much of the attention his tiny ego couldn't handle it. Note how prominent she was in the earlier shows with both her singing as well as playing multiple insturments. Also note how much cheering and applause she would get versus him, she would always get more. So much so that at time you could literally see in his face how mad he was. Then came writing credit, she was helping write songs as well as helping to reshape their sound and style. He refused to give her credit which she has spoke about a few times. Watch their early shows and compare them to later ones. It got to the point where her mic was so potted down you could barely hear her, he also stopped letting her play other instruments during the show. Towards the end he even isolated her off to one side and then put up that little fenced area she had to stay. He wanted all the attention on himself and couldn't handle how much she was getting. I saw them multiple times live and towards the end she looked miserable on stage, which was a complete reversal from the early years. You could even see it after the show ended, everyone would be embracing and smiling with each other, but when he would get to her he always put his head down and would only coldly shake her hand.
They are so humble and genuine I love them for it.
