    Not hitting the injured player in the game of tag was not about honor at all, you entirely missed the point there. It was about changing to become more egotistical. Isagi said himself if he doesn't aim higher then things will never change, and he'll eventually lose and have to leave blue lock.

    The manga/anime is about discovering one's abilities and having unshakable confidence in them. It's about reconstructing yourself to be better with each rendition. That shit about masculinity doesn't fit, self confidence applies to everyone, not just men.

    well if you read blue lock then there is a goal in U 20 Japan team vs Blue lock team, in which Rin strike the ball to goal thus creating a chemical reaction of Isagi and Nagi to hit ball finally to goal. It was same as Japan first goal , one player hit the ball it bounce back and other one goaled it.
    In 2nd goal , he has choice of passing it to his team mate who was in better position but he chose to goal himself cuz of his ego

    not really, bluelock boiled down is you can't change others, but you can change yourself. be the one that chooses, not the one that gets chosen. articulate your ideal self, is it possible- what steps will get you there to achieve your ideal self. is it just wishful thinking or can it be verbalized.. bluelock is literally the best self help guised as a soccer anime/manga.

    3:33 I honestly would not compare elon musk and bill gates into something like this. Take an actual football player who started from the slums and made it as a professional.
    5:18 You missed the point. It was not about honor and winning fairly. It was about changing his mindset. You won't get for in life if you take the easy way out.
    everything after that is kinda not about the anime?
    Not quite but i recommend making your claims connect with the anime a bit more.
    Otherwise it's pretty much an ok analysis. went off on a slight tangent there ngl but ig that's ok.
    Competition may be more prevalent in men but women have it too so i wouldn't make claims that tingle the funny bone on a woke person. (Men compete more tho hahaha)
    Next time maybe talking more about "Ego" itself would make much more sense.

    • @wildwesley9328
      @wildwesley9328 Рік тому +2

      I agree with your analysis for the most part except the men compete more part. I think young boys and men are socialized to compete more but it’s not an inherent thing in men. Source, I’m a person who has competed a high level sports my entire life against women, then joined a military school with both men and women where women had more to prove so could be just as if not more competitive than the men in our unit. I don’t think this video was a very good analysis and filled with a lot of unsubstantiated nonsense that has little to do with the anime, but to each their own ig.

    • @arrexu01
      @arrexu01 Рік тому

      @@wildwesley9328 I believe competition is a natural part of both genders. Life is a competition. But men take it on a level much greater than women do.
      Young boys would rather play more games that have them compete than play doll and house like girls do.
      it is kinda integrated with men. And not because of something stupid like "male toxicity" but rather, survival.
      Men who lose in competition have no worth.
      We love to talk about the exceptional but nobody talks about the people they beat to get where they are.
      As for your source... In what world, assuming you're a guy, would u have to compete against women in any given sport except for sports where women naturally have an advantage?
      Women in the military are forced to compete against men with more physical ability that they naturally already own. But just because they have more to prove doesn't mean they're as competitive. Even men compete, not against other men but to a system that would readily throw them away if they are weak.
      Women in the military are an exception. Not the rule.
      You focus too much on your experience rather than the majority standard. Just how many women in the military do you think there are?
      Fact of the matter is, weak men are disposable. Weak women are not.
      Sexist and it shouldn't be? Sure but that's the reality of it.

    Bro went on a tangent about masculinity and how the series embraces it but doesn’t once talk about egoism…. Which is what the manga is about, the whole manga never brings up masculinity. It does align with what you said about competition, but the whole rant about bad boys and nice guys was just cringe and unrelated to the story. The whole manga rarely even mentions women, and there is basically no female cast, so I’m not sure why you derived an opinion on the modern politics of masculinity and attraction since it’s just not what the manga represents. No need to get political for no reason, just let the manga breath and tell its story without all the bs.

      Hey man, thanks for the detailed comment!
      I’d argue egoism is a large part of masculinity, hence the term ‘male ego’ being thrown around so much. So yeah you’re right that for this vid, I did decide to focus on masculinity as ego’s higher level abstraction instead of ego itself.
      Thanks for letting me know you found the bad boys segment cringe. I’m still figuring out the best way to integrate my life learnings into these analyses! Bound to have a few cringe moments haha

      @@sorex_yt I get the point but the way you put it in the video comes off as just regurgitated andrew tate fan arguments instead of a well rounded argument constructed from your own actual point of view. it just sound like a classic red pill commentary, and my point was that the manga is not necessary a red pill manga and it should just be appreciated for its own unique philosophies that have never been demonstrated in sports manga before.

Ego is in everyone male or female, not sure why he decided to start talking bout some actual incel shtuff. I thought this incel shtuff was pretty much a myth but i guess not. Bluelock is about the group of teens learning to be the best striker my focusing on what their country is weak at: striking and making goals. Having the ego to do so is having the courage/selfishness to take the shot at risk of failing the shot or the team not appreciating not working together, since thats what Ego says about their countries team.

    So... the idea that people are judged as individuals based on the results of teams is fucking asinine, that's just not how it works. Zlatan Ibrahimovich who is a legend amongst footballers for his egoism and incredible personal skill has never once been on a world cup winning team. Same goes for Christiano Ronaldo for that matter.
    Now answer me this, did not winning that world cup as a TEAM impact our opinion of these individuals as athletes, and if it DID... would that be a smart judgement for us to make?
    To say that Isagi made the wrong call by working as a team in his high school because it led to his soccer career going up in smoke is asinine. If Isagi is truly THAT GOOD then the world makes the wrong call by letting his soccer career go up in smoke, not the other way around.
    The idea that people need to be working into the ground, to be physiologically and mentally tortured, forced to betray their friends and prioritize themselves over and over and over again to become better at a team sport is the greatest lie you will ever be told, and has genuinely dangerous concequences when brought into reality.
    I'm sorry, but the idea that BlueLock is a motivational work says something about what motivates you, plain and simple. If the idea of domination is what gives you drive and motivation, be prepared to end up alone and without any of the acolades you original strove for. 1 in 100 ends up as the person standing atop the mountain of 99 bodies, and that person dies alone.
