I got one of these a couple years back in a yard sale for like, $5; it was sold as a racing game pedal! I may not have corrected them before buying it...
I have to say, for my budget, this seems like the perfect multi-effects pedal. Its got the wah I'm looking for, volume control, phaser, chorus, sweet tone, the list goes on and on. And I think I could have some fun with that drum machine....
Dude you HAVE to get the rp90 it's the best pedal in the world. The distortion is SO nasty but yet so clear. The effects sound flawless, and you will be SO happy with your buy trust me dude
My friend has this pedal, i borrowed it from him and tried it with my guitar - lame Squire Strat. Man, i was amazed! It turned my squire into pro guitar, it sounded really great and all the effects are so cool! Really great product, i must get one myself :P!
Thanks for the video. At last I have some idea what the buttons do on this thing. Everyone says the manual is dead easy to understand but it didn't make a lot of sense to me. This has certainly helped.
fuck the buttons lol, just go and create your own presets like i did with edit and store buttons and sweep througj them. i think it's really unnecessary to have ready effect combinations when you can create way better ones yourself.
Great Review mate nice to see a guy who knows what his talking about and can actually play and some of those sounds were just killer I was looking at buying a used one of these this just sealed the deal thanks.
This video is very informative, thanks. I just bought one of these pedals today and I have to say it's really good for practicing Some very nice sounds for a simple stompbox.
I like grunge(Nirvana,Alice in Chains), garage(The Strokes), alternative(Radiohead), indie(The Pixies, Sonith Youth)(Oasis) rock but also i like 70's rock (Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Janis Joplin, The Doors, J.Hendrix,Black Sabbath) and also jazz & blues staffs. Would you recomend me this pedal??
It comes tomorrow! FUCK YEA! Can't wait to plug this into my existing Boss mega distortion pedal. Along with a brand new Marshall MG412CF Cab, Bugera V55HD amp, and this RP90 should get my Schecter C1-Elite to sound out some major tones! I CANT WAIT!!!
awesome pedal!!! at first I thought 50 presets, I want more, but now I have 3 favorite presets which I almost always use, besides if you really understand how to use it fully you can get awesome sounds
This review is just great. Straight to the point. Thanks, you just convinced me to buy it, Digitech should give you a percentage :)). Just one question though. Is the pedal sturdy enough? Cheers
I got this pedal last month thanks to your video, and it's great, thanks. But I've tried a lot of tones for Metallica's Fade to Black intro solo (played by Kirk) and it just doesn't work for me. Could you please help me with a preset for this part of the song or something close? Thank you. PD: Sorry for my english, hope you have understand it.
Yes it does it come with a power cable, Thats what i got when i bought it for 100 dollars. Idk it might very between states, or where every you buy it from.
well, you are right, thanks a lot. I asked you because I could see you know a lot about multi effects and I like how you play, see you later, God bless you...
Hey awesome video...I use the RP-90 but I've found that when I scroll through the effects they're all at different volume levels so I'm afraid to use it when I play out because I'll blow someone's eardrums (or my speakers) out. Should I go through and manually change the master level for each effect? Do you notice this when you scroll through?
Ralf! Thank you so much for this video. i'm considering the Digitech the RP90, cause of it's great price/capabilities ratio. Does it have any midi capabilities? And how many preset sounds does it have? Great video, thanks again!
Hey, man, great vid... I seriously think of buying this one soon, so i have a question. I have a Marshall Guv'nor, so could I just plug it together with the rp90, so it would be kinda like an extra effect? It's really urgent, so I would really appreciate your or anyone elses respond as soon as possible... Thanks!
Could you maybe demo the amp sounds? I really want to hear the Recto. I'm considering returning my Boss DS-1 I just bought since it doesn't give me the sound I want (Recto-like.) and I know I can get the sound out of a Digitech, along with lots of other stuff, but I want to hear all the presets. You really only did effects, do you think you could do another demo?
I've just bought this today for £85. I'm not really into effects so am a bit clueless. I want to use the pitch shifter setting to dive down an octave along with my fuzz pedal but can't get any sound out of it unless the footswitch is pushed forward. Am I being an idiot trying to play this with another pedal or is there a way I can make it work? Trying to justify the spend and don't wanna feel like a fool if I have to take it back because I won't/don't know how to use most of the features.
Is there any way to activate or deactivate the wah pedal without bending down and turning it off? Can you turn it on and off by pressing hard on the toe end of the pedal like other wahs or do you have to press a button? Thanks for the help!
i just bought one yesterday and have been foolin around with it. but the only thing i found that i can like use the pedal to rock it back it forth on wuz the whammy. how do i set it up for the wah? (to rock the pedal back and forth?)
i have a question, call me stupid but can you, like assign each those pedal like button(which is the two big button) their own effects? like the other one is distortion then the other one is chorus, and use it at the same time? then also the wah? will it by pass each other or team up together to produce cool music?
@ralfjung - so when the amp/mixer button is pressed it automatically turns the amp sim off? thats kinda cool so I wont have to TURN OFF the sim & then Save to another preset. thanks!
i want to find a way of "performance mode" like, pressing one footswitch that leads you to a single patch, and then the other to another patch, is there a way of doing this?
hey, can you please tell me how to use the wah wah pedal with a rock/metal distortion ?? I have just bought my RP90 but I can't use wah wah with any distortion...only with some clean effects :S Help me please?
Am looking at a Digitech pedal to help with rhythm for a guitar duo (my friend and I) he plays lead, and I play rhythm accoustic. We sometimes play small venues and don't use our drummer and bassist. Would this pedal work as a substitute drummer. Is there a way to start, stop...and do drum fills from the pedal(s) once one is in the middle of the song...? Thanks
I got one of these a couple years back in a yard sale for like, $5; it was sold as a racing game pedal!
I may not have corrected them before buying it...
Hahaha... Digitech mistaken for a Logitech game pedal perhaps 😝
I have to say, for my budget, this seems like the perfect multi-effects pedal. Its got the wah I'm looking for, volume control, phaser, chorus, sweet tone, the list goes on and on. And I think I could have some fun with that drum machine....
Thanks for replying, the amp really has a nice sound to enhance the RP90.
Really great product, i must get one myself :P!
thanks for the review, i was thinkin bout buyin the rp90 but seeing it in action makes me want to definitely get it
Thanks for the video. At last I have some idea what the buttons do on this thing. Everyone says the manual is dead easy to understand but it didn't make a lot of sense to me. This has certainly helped.

thanzx man..yea i hear ya on that..i bought the rp255, and im stoked about it..ur videos are awesome
Nice vid! I was looking into getting the rp90 myself but wasn't sure about all the features it came with and this clearified a lot, thanks!
Wow! Man! I wasn't sure of what this pedal was able to do only with Digitech's site information, but this review proved very helpful to me!
Thanks! :D
Thanks for the reply Ralfjung, your amp sounds awesome along with the RP90. Can't beat a real tube amp.
This video is very informative, thanks. I just bought one of these pedals today and I have to say it's really good for practicing Some very nice sounds for a simple stompbox.
George Clooney teaches about guitar processor. Thanks for the informative video.
@mynamesnotwill You should use the bypass feature (press both pedals at once) for clean.
Just ordered this for only $25, now I'm really excited.
Santa got my list....this was on it.
Awesome pedal for the money.
Thanks Santa!
Thanks a lot man. I needed a good review and some details to make my decision. I am now sold on this pedal. Thanks!
It's compatible with any equipment, like he said, you just need to make sure your amp is as neutral/clean as possible when using it.

Excellent video thanks. I think i am sold on teh RP 90.
Awesome video man. Answered everything pretty much
hey man, nice sounds..would u say the RP 200 would be an upgrade from the RP90
awesome pedal!!! at first I thought 50 presets, I want more, but now I have 3 favorite presets which I almost always use, besides if you really understand how to use it fully you can get awesome sounds
Excelente video, gran sonido.
Ecelent video, great sound.
This review is just great. Straight to the point. Thanks, you just convinced me to buy it, Digitech should give you a percentage :)). Just one question though. Is the pedal sturdy enough? Cheers
very clear and precise video thanks, 5 stars
hey i just got this pedal and was jammin with my friends. sounds incredible but it there a way to use batteries instead of the adapter?
Thanks Youve convinced me to buy the RP90!
This video is great! I didn't know how cool device I'm going to get! Thx for the video, I will return to it more than once ;)
Hi Ralf,

Thanks for the help! I think i'll try this pedal out now.
you think i should just get the rp 90 as my first effect pedal because i really enjoy effects and i don't want to spend a bunch on effect pedals

Thanks HEAPS! Hopefully I find this under the christmas tree!! :)
Yes it does it come with a power cable, Thats what i got when i bought it for 100 dollars. Idk it might very between states, or where every you buy it from.
MY beloved pedaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaal :) :) !!!!
well, you are right, thanks a lot. I asked you because I could see you know a lot about multi effects and I like how you play, see you later, God bless you...
Sounds good, thnx for the help.
Nicely done my friend!
Do you believe that this is a good pedal for a relative beginner to buy? Boss multi effects pedals just seem so much more expensive.
damn thats some nice distortion~~!!
no it sets it to bypass which puts it on standby and allows u to play still through the amp
Hey awesome video...I use the RP-90 but I've found that when I scroll through the effects they're all at different volume levels so I'm afraid to use it when I play out because I'll blow someone's eardrums (or my speakers) out. very helpfull well done thank you great playin too.
Ralf!
Thank you so much for this video. i'm considering the Digitech the RP90, cause of it's great price/capabilities ratio. Does it have any midi capabilities? And how many preset sounds does it have?

thank you for the helpful video

It's really urgent, so I would really appreciate your or anyone elses respond as soon as possible... Thanks!
What stuff are you using? Because I listened to other reviews and they didn't sound as perfect as this one
Hey. I'm a beginner and wondered if this is good for my first effects pedal. Is it easy to setup the different effects and is the pedal easy to use?
thanks, but please tell me, what would you recommend me to buy??? and why?
Could you maybe demo the amp sounds? I really want to hear the Recto. I'm considering returning my Boss DS-1 I just bought since it doesn't give me the sound I want (Recto-like.) and I know I can get the sound out of a Digitech, along with lots of other stuff, but I want to hear all the presets. Nice vid
Delay and Reverb are seperate from the "stompbox" effects so yeah you could use all three at the same time
@Sk8erguy1996 . Yes, no need for an amp - just plug in your headphones and play. Or, connect to your PC via the headphone jack and play/record.
what amp do you use?
Wich guitar do you use??
Gretings from Chile
I'm really impressed with Digitech's sound. so many of these multi-effect units sound like total crap.
can tones be assigned to the foot switches so that you could switch between like a clean and distortion sound
I've just bought this today for £85. I'm not really into effects so am a bit clueless. I want to use the pitch shifter setting to dive down an octave along with my fuzz pedal but can't get any sound out of it unless the footswitch is pushed forward. Trying to justify the spend and don't wanna feel like a fool if I have to take it back because I won't/don't know how to use most of the features.
@razor005 Trying pushing the volume pedal down. Or making sure it's connected right, and turning the pedal volume up.
hey man, how many things can you do at once, for example, can you have distorion and wah or whammy, etc at the same time?? thankss
can you use more than one of the effects at once? for example, chorus and delay, or delay using the whammy pedal?
Thanks. I also want to ask, is the tone from the guitar preserved well going through this pedal?
Thanks so much for the great vid. I have one on order and your vid will make the transition so much easier. P.S. you sould be in movies. :-)
Thank you very much!
this pedal is cool!!!!
Is there any way to activate or deactivate the wah pedal without bending down and turning it off? Can you turn it on and off by pressing hard on the toe end of the pedal like other wahs or do you have to press a button? Thanks for the help!
thanks for this im gonna buy this soon
Very good thanks!
is it to play in a band or to play to have loads of fun when you get bored?
Thanks man this vid really helped me out
damn this is good value for money if you buy it second hand.
Thanks a lot man ! Best regards ...
thanks, that the distortions?
Seeking to sound heavy, really heavy, has good distortions?
or more of the metal master DIGITECH, you think?
Would you recommended this product to a person who is planning on buying his first effect box?
is this a good pedal to get a nice amount of bite from a small amp? I have a metal master and it sounds a bit dry and shallow.
i just bought one yesterday and have been foolin around with it. but the only thing i found that i can like use the pedal to rock it back it forth on wuz the whammy. how do i set it up for the wah? (to rock the pedal back and forth?)
does this run through the front of the amp or do you need an effects loop input
yes, it does have a tuner
i have a question, call me stupid but can you, like assign each those pedal like button(which is the two big button) their own effects? like the other one is distortion then the other one is chorus, and use it at the same time? then also the wah? will it by pass each other or team up together to produce cool music?
master!
i have it, i love the digiwhammy with my lespaul it sounds sweet
great review thanks
if you looked used, you might be able to get a line 6 POD 2.0, which crushes them both
@ralfjung - so when the amp/mixer button is pressed it automatically turns the amp sim off? thats kinda cool so I wont have to TURN OFF the sim & then Save to another preset. thanks!
i want to find a way of "performance mode" like, pressing one footswitch that leads you to a single patch, and then the other to another patch, is there a way of doing this?
do you have to press the button to switch channels? like is their anyway to switch between channels using the footswitch?
hey, can you please tell me how to use the wah wah pedal with a rock/metal distortion ?? I have just bought my RP90 but I can't use wah wah with any distortion...only with some clean effects :S Help me please?
what are d settings for wah wah or how to assign wah wah???
also,is the wah wah effect affected by which guitar i hav?
personally i would get the rp90 cause it has more amp models and all the stuff is based off of the world famous amps and effects companies
Thanks
very good!!!
Hey Ralf, can you make a video on the RP70? thanks
Hello Ralf... you only work with Digitech?. Do you have somethnig with the RP6?
Sorry for my english from the begining but I wanna know in what ways this Rp90 is better than Rp70.
This was helpful- Danke!
i bought it.....GREATEST INVESTMENT ON A BUDGET...however if u r willing 2 spend more....go w the 255
Would you say, that the rp90 rp70, are not much different from the rp55?
