A look at the life of British artist J.M.W Turner.

It is a fantastic movie. The only comment I have about the movie is about this scene.
I wish they depicted the real circumstances of the towing, there were two tugs and ships masts were removed. These are small non-essential details but it would have shown that Turner did not just paint what he saw but interpreted the scene the way he wanted to represent.

I loved this movie. For many reasons, but one of them is how the cinematographer made scenes and landscapes look like Turner paintings (which capture the essence of reality and nature, but they are not hyperrealist scenes, their lighting is not something you would see with your own eyes)

crazy how tech advanced so fast. This scene just shows the two worlds of the past and present colliding. just 30 years before, sailing was the way to move ships, but now steam. What a great end to a once glorious ship at once a glorious time.
