I will always love the low volume joke at 2:34 primarily just because of how perfectly set up it is to trick the human mind. The scene before it is the most important in the set up, because of how loud it is, and for how long that loudness lasts. The sudden cut to very quiet footage can make the viewer's brain initially think they actually took ear damage from the previous bit, and now it's harder for them to hear. Robotnik saying "I can't hear it!" during the low volume bit immediately snaps the viewers mind back to realizing it was all intentionally quiet, if they haven't figured that out already. I can see how this analysis can be flawed, but I just find this whole sequence of this YTP hilarious just because of how I interpreted it, and interpreting the more random parts of any YTP to find a semblance of cohesiveness is a lot of fun, and makes these kinds of YTP's a heck lot more rewatchable.
I especially like how the sound before the volume turned down has that picture of a derpy Sonic being shook about as if he's trigger so bad it gave him brain damage XD
