I like the blinking green light on your audio interface with your mic level as you talk. Nice production touch!
Is there a way to program a ctcss tone in the sub band? Haven't been able to figure it out.
how do you overwrite? its like it doesnt want to overwrite after i deleted a channel
Evrey put in 145480 it won't go past 145 ?
Is there a way to edit a memory frequency?
Nice, concise vid, however, you did not mention that pressing and holding the [V/M] button once more is required to to put the radio into Memory mode to be able to use the memories programmed-otherwise rotating the knob will just show the step frequencies. Yes it should be obvious but I'm guilty of forgetting this all too often.
Everything is great but I get get to the first step. I cannot get my radio in VFO MODE. It just makes me want to bail on ham radio.
I would love to know how the audio sounds I have the ft2 and that is rubbish so does the audio differ to the ft2 / 3 ?
Yes, the FT5D has much better audio in terms of loudness and tone compared to the FT2D and FT3D. Much improved.
How about a video testing different bluetooth headsets?
Can't buy one if there is no improvement from the lousy FT3D bluetooth implementation :(
I have a video about that coming out soon. Spoiler: it's still unusable, in my opinion.
cr@p, right off the bat, you say to make sure it is in VFO mode, and I can't get it out of saying "ALL" where yours says VFO. Hitting Mode toggles various FM, DN, and Auto TX modes. So I am stuck RIGHT out of the gate.. Searching now for another video that shows me how to put it in VFO mode, be back in a few.... lol
ok, for those that don't know how to go into VFO mode on an FT5D, you have to hold down on the "M>V" portion of the touch screen (bottom left of touch screen). Now you can follow along with this video
I did try tapping that M>V area, but didn't realize you had to hold down on the touch screen. Also, didn't know (I do now), that it is really MEM > VFO
Banks? computer software?
Well sure, if you’re programming the entire radio you have the option to use software. This video focuses on when you want to quickly input one or two things.
Not saying this to be mean but I find this video very useless, You can tell somebody what where in where and what to do but what you need to show your video is step-by-step on how you did it, Telling somebody is one thing but showing them would be the best
Good, quick easy video , good stuff
