What I like the most about SHINee is that they kept going. Losing Jonghyun was so hard but they continued (especially for Jonghyun) and worked so hard (15+ years and counting) and have many individual talents that keep their works timeless in the Kpop industry. I can't wait for Onew to return, and hopefully a tour to the U.S.A. will be in the plans. Proud Shawol here!

There is a reason why SHINee is my ultimate favourites in KPop & they’ve maintained that status for years. Their work ethic, as well as their talent & the unvarying resilience really inspires me. It also helps that they NEVER give a bad performance or have a bad song. I’ve followed ALL their solo careers and you forgot to mention that Onew has won album of the year? (I believe for his latest album Circle). We all still miss Jonghyun but the guys have done their best to keep his memory alive. I can’t say enough about how special this group is to me. Their music saw me through many ups and downs.

Thank you for highlighting SHINee. They are, and always have been, my ult group. You clearly know the group because you discussed facts that some people wouldn't think of, such as that they ARE a 5-member group. You also were very respectful in your mention of Dec, 2017. A few more fun facts: 1. they started the trend (now norm) of posting dance practice videos AND hard choreo while singing live, 2. they started the trend of idols dressing up for Halloween, and 3. they won so many awards for Dream Girl that one (?) of the shows had to place a limit on the number of times that a song could win. Many, many more facts and firsts from them. I hope younger people will check out SHINee's discography, because they likely would fall in love with them.

2nd gen fan here, known kpop since DBSK era
but i was captured by BB and since become a YG STAN. i didn’t listen to much music except for YG artists during that era. But Shinee.. i always have a soft spot for them🥹
they are just.. different and how they always remember jonghyun is brave and heartwarming. i remember watching key in I live alone and openly say his dissatisfaction abt not being allowed to mention abt jonghyun after the tragedy, but Key say they want to remember him anyway. and Shinee did that, persistently.
everytime they have a comeback i always check out their music. I wish Shinee a longevity in kpop. They really don’t make idols like these anymore, to me.. 2nd-3rd gen just hit different.

What I love about Shinee the most aside their legendary discography and iconic live performances (that is not even up to discussion), it's the fact that members have NO EGO and always stick together as a family in best and worst! Each single member has very successful career as solo artist or actor or TV celebrity and yet noone believes that he is too big for a group, which is a very rare case for music industry and a reason why so many great groups across the globe vanished in the darkness of a past. I feel this is very reason why Shinee is shining brighter and stronger with each year, because they know how to create a magic together as a group and truly cherish their unity, and that's why we Shawols always feel like proud parents of genius kids rather than just fandom. Many other generations will appear, many great talents will try to get their time under the sun, but Shinee will forever stay that iconic group of 5 once-in-generation artists that paved the way, that set the gold standards of excellence, proving that life of an Idol is not a short-lived fairytale but sustainable profession when you are true artist 💙💙💙💙💙

And SM ignored their lead Singer's plead for for mental health help. These four men honored their brother who left them by staying close to one another. I have up most respect for SHINee. I have watch minoh in boys before flowers and his other shows. All four men are incredibly talented. I came on to them via BTS when they were always seemingly together and goofing off during the award shows.

Gran y emotivo video. Me encanta ver y saber mas de SHINee, ya que solo llevo 3 años y 2 meses siendo shawol, pero ellos son un gran ejemplo para mi. Han sufrido, pasado de todo, y que digan juntos y de pie, me conmueve, de verdad que cada uno tiene mi admiración. No lo han pasado nada bien y solo siguen por lxs verdaderos shawol, por eso siempre los apoyare. Además su talento es unico, no por nada tienen el título de el grupo mas completo y talentodo de la industria.

They are the BLUEPRINT everyone is following their footsteps, they've influenced the industry ten fold and you can clearly see it with the newer boy groups nowadays
It didn't "start" from a tragic loss fyi. Please say it more respectfully. SHINee was a thing even before Jonghyun left us. Please don't bring light to SHINee through Jonghyun's passing or remember our Jonghyun for being "the idol that took his life". Jonghyun and SHINee are way more than that. I would say, they're one if the best kpop groups to exist and are extremely underrated. They deserve at least half the popularity BTS has. They debuted in 2008 and are still very relevant even if their music style is somewhat different from how it used to be.

@@KPOPNookagreed, so many Shawols speak with regret about how the news was their gateway into shinee. They heard about his passing, looked up him and shinee, found his legacy and fell in love. Jjong is more than his passing but in his passing he started so much more as well. In life and in death he paved the way. Things taken for granted today resulted from him and others like him, who are brave enough to stand up for their beliefs instead of being silenced and managed by the company. He supported Palestine and lgbtq even before it was the popular thing to do, despite backlash. His members and Shawols fought for him even after and now his foundation stands proudly supporting what he stood up for. Stream his music and buy his albums because those will fund the Shiny foundation helping young struggling artists. (Side eyeing SM big time for their not producing the albums more often when it sells out and merch as they should)
All this to say, it’s not entirely wrong to say that his loss started something even bigger than what Shinee was, and made them more.

Jonghyun's passing hit pretty bad for me, so i really can't imagine how hard it must have been for his fellow members of SHINee. I'm really happy that they are still together and i also hope to see more of Onew again on public stages once he's all better.

I loved and I will love Shinee with all my heart but in this period I'm a bit worried about Onew. He will come back with the group again or not? Because it has been almost an year that he is on hiatus and there are no notice about his health. I'm sorry he will not take part of Tokyo Dome concert. Miss his voice so much. Hope to hear some news concerning him soon.

They were forced by SM to do that concert. I'm glad people are keeping Jonghyun relevant, but he wasn't just an idol to a lot of people; he was their only friend. I can't watch this because it might show his funeral, but I hit "like".

Based on what do you say they were forced? The concert had been planned and booked long before, so cancelling would have been difficult. They said Jonghyun's mother encouraged them to do it. I don't think they are at the point in their career where SM can "force" them to do much... It was obviously an incredibly tough decision and tough to perform after they decided, but I'm very glad they did. It seemed like the right thing both for them and for the fans. To continue as they mean to go on, by getting back on stage. Also creating a space to grieve together with the fans and start the healing process.
