@@tihspidtherekciltilc5469 Kids aren't going to just grab a gun and start shooting people. There is definitely a mental health reason or something along the lines that influenced them to. Also, the fact some parents don't see the point of therapist.
Dear allegedly all-powerful and all-loving God and Jesus, why did you allow this to happen to these innocent young people in the first place? Are they sacrificial victims to appease you for my free-will choice to be skeptical about your existence? Amen.
Back when you were taught to fight bullies with fists there weren't these types of shootings all of the time. Now they teach our kids to just "take it", and complain to a teacher..... which usually results in nothing happening. The more they complain, the worse the treatment gets. They're building situations where these kids just snap. There were always guns in this country, but we've weakened our children so much, and this is a result. We need to start allowing kids to stand up to bullies
@@jeffsimpson1421 It's about school policies. Typically decided on by elected school officials, based on the needs of the parents, and what they want. I agree with your comment. Right now a lot of parents complain to the teachers.... instead of teaching their child to push back. This issue is solved at the children's level. * Not the administration level.

This never should of happen in other news videos the students and teachers knew this was gonna happen there was alot of threats. The school has failed their students and im sure the cops didn't know about it
Oxford cops on the scene within 5 minutes and already have the shooter in custody because that's how safe this town is and how little crime they have. I grew up here. They have had zero murders in over 30 years and then something like this happens. This is not a gun problem either. Everyone had guns in Oxford growing up. Even the kids had guns and nobody ever got shot. This is a problem with our society in general. The zero tolerance policy to bullying is actually what causes shootings like this. With zero tolerance you can't even defend yourself because you will be punished just as severely as the bully. So kids are afraid to defend themselves because they will get punished. I hate to say this but "back in my day" we were allowed to get into fights with each other and defend ourselves. In fact if some kids wanted to fight they could go to the High school gym, throw on some boxing gloves and fight until they no longer angry with each other.

Down with public schools. Teach your children at home, folks. This is the sobering reality of the fruit of public institutions. I was a public school teacher near Detroit for a few years, and let me tell you-very little meaningful learning is actually going on in those classrooms for a majority of students. It’s an absolute shame. Public education is purely a business that produces more and more illiterate and indoctrinated students by the year. Please heed my warning: parents, remove your children from the travesty that is public education-immediately! It is dangerous. If many of my past colleagues wouldn’t even risk going to the school while pregnant due to the violence, why would you send your baby there?

Let's not allow this tragedy to be used as political leverage. Take away guns and people will use knives, homemade weapons..and vehicles. Using people's traumas as political leverage is a Big part of the problem.
It was a handgun, not an AR-15. None of the democrats proposals would have prevented this. Neither side of the gun debate are proposing real solutions. There is a solution though: better security. So the shooter was a 15 yr. old who was a student at this school, also the Undersheriff said at the end of the presser that they know where the gun came from. Reminder to everyone this is a gun problem. The US has more gun deaths than any other country in the world except Brazil (a third world country) and there is zero effort to try and address it.
So I am not showing absolutely any sympathy to this young individual that committed this act of violence let that be clear. I also wanted to say that yes in some kind of magnitude or way I do agree with you. Is the biggest reason why young boys or young men or teenagers are more susceptible to violence in our society today is something thit's something that we have a tendency of overlooking but it's ever so prevalent and it's very unfortunate that no one has ever really mentioned this regarding regarding violence in general. Mental health and mental issues are a very serious thing but we never take into account that somebody or any individual may be going through a turbulent time in their life and we create a huge stigma around mental health and seeking help regarding mental health. But it's not just mental health the biggest component of why young men or boys or teenagers are more susceptible to violence it's because simply look around you turn on the radio turn on the TV looking to any social media platform what do you see on a continuous daily basis. You will see that the mainstream media the radio movies television social media they all create a create a sort of image that all even mildly masculine boys are a bunch of evil violent predators and imagine you waking up every day at having to hear that on the radio on TV on the news on anything social media imagine hearing every day that becauseLiterally who you are is the problem in your life imagine hearing because you are a man that is a negative thing and you hear that every day that has serious mental is as serious mental repercussions to it. Is another big contributing factor to young men being violent in America is feminism feminism them creates a sort of dissident genuine this is Janus sort of hatred for everything in existence in a young man that may already be having other underlining issues and then they have to experience feminism and literally be told that they are bad because they're a man. And I am not defending this individualBut it's very clear that this individual had mental health issues. And as people in general we need to think ahead and we will think I had and we need to see things before they completely unravel it's not hard to tell that a young person May be unstable or that they're going through a traumatic. In their life. And we as humans and adults need to take the initiative to the initiative to help and do something it could be simply talking to this individual getting to know what is going on either directly or indirectly and make a note of it so that there can be preventative measures that can take place to prevent these things from happening. No that I sound very passionate and may be a little bit bias or emotional in a way but it's so sad that these things happen and it really truly breaks my heart because I'm human I feel it makes me sad honestly I'm a grown man I'm in my thirties but this makes me want to cry. I don't have children of my own but I have plenty of people in my family that do this I'm leaving that dude this is heartbreaking to me and I take this situation very very seriously and I am very passionate about it to do something to say something that we can help to prevent this from ever happening again. And the conversation about firearms is not going to help that is just kind of scraping the surface of a problem no mental health is something that should be a national topic because it's mental health that drives people to do terrible things such as this. And not long ago there was a gentleman that ran down a bunch of people because he had radical political views on certain topics and decided to run down children and elderly people. And I guess my point about that is are we gonna blame the individual that committed the act of violence or are we gonna blame the vehicle that he was driving which happened to be a sort of S UV are we gonna blame the car it's just a tool that he used to commit an act of violence you're not solving the problem by going after the tool that he committed the crime with you have to go further and deeper than that and we need to focus on mental health because that is very serious. I think we all have battle through traumatic things in our life I think we've all had moments of depression we his precision we had moments of anger sadness and other emotions at when we were kids and we all had a harder time dealing with it because we didn't have the tools that are available today but it seems that we have all these tools and possibilities but we don't use them to help people.
Are you serious!?! That kid walked right by all of those gun-free zone signs and didn’t see them? That’s hard to believe but it’s obviously the case because he brought a gun in there.

I can GUARANTEE there were signs, for YEARS ahead of time, before this person did this. This kind of thing does NOT "JUST HAPPEN."

Reminder to everyone this isn't a gun problem. There are serious issues with young boys in this country that are not being addressed both socially and physically.
All video games have Violence so kids soak up that violent education through movies and video games.
