    Do you have the throttle up all the way or is the ground just that hard? Because if you don’t have the throttle up all the way that could be very hard on the pump

      Hi. The power was on about 60%. It was harder ground but I should’ve turned the power up a bit more as well

    How do you find the CR600.. Would you recommend it?? Any problems or things to look out for??

      caerleon87 hi. It’s been great. It has good battery life and I haven’t jolted it off the digger at all. Works for grading, footings and drainage runs on a angle. (If the laser level can be set for them). Can even use it as a normal receiver for the laser level.

      Thanks for that!! I have not got much experience with excavators, but i have my own 2 year old Kubota U17. I got it just for my own use here at home, but now a mate of mine wants me to do the footings for his new house. It is on uneven ground [he has a farm] so i thought one of these would be just the thing to get the bottom of the trenches level and flat, the surface of the ground does not matter too much. I thought it would beat the hell out of having them stand there all day with a rod mounted receiver in the usual way.. Love the way you can keep the bucket flat all the time.. Think you might have driven the things once or twice!!

      caerleon87 thanks I enjoy driving them. Like getting paid for playing Tonka toys. That’s a very nice machine the kubota. Yes it’s much more productive than having to dip a staff all the time and much safer if it’s deep. It has a few fine and course digging modes on there for different jobs.

      I went out today, well yesterday, and bought one of the CR600 things!! It came today in the post!! It seems very nice though, well pleased i bought it!! On monday now i am going to get a laser to go with it, a leica 640, as i want the feature where you can set out 90 degrees with it. Lot of money though!! Still, it is all free, as the bloke i am doing the footings for is paying to get me them as a prezzy, for doing the footings!! Magnet is well strong as you say, be a job to get it off deliberately, never mind it fall off or move!! See what you mean about the LED's being fine in sunlight, bright is not the word for it. It came with a very nice clamp so you can fit it to a rod as well. Got to be very well worth the £328 it cost!!

      caerleon87 that’s a good price for the CR600. Hope you got the laser level (the feature for setting out 90’s is worth it) and dug the footings out ok.

    Hi There, You have miles more experience than me.. How long do you think it would take to did a hole 8 feet long, 6 feet wide, and about 6 feet deep with my Kubota U17?? The thing is about the same size as your takeuchi.. I have to bury a horse....

      Hi, I would say set a day aside for it to make sure but about 6 hours should do it with back filling as well. We just hired a U17 and it’s a nice machine, very well thought out.

      @@lovemud100 Hi there! Yes, i do like my U17!! I have not done much with it yet to be honest, but it seems all good to me!! I worked out that the hole was about 288 cubic feet, so say 288 bucket fulls to be on the safe side.. I allowed 16 seconds a scoop, and then doubled it as most things i do take me twice as long as i thought!! This works out at 2.6 hours, so your 6 hours seems pretty exact!! I will allow a day though as you say.. What size bucket is that you have on the takeuchi?? Is it 600mm?? I need to do a 600 wide trench for something, but i was a bit worried that a 600mm bucket might be a bit big for my little digger, bit like trying to dig a hole with a grading bucket.. What you think??

    • @lovemud100
      @lovemud100  5 років тому

      caerleon87 that’s a 600mm bucket I’m digging with there. Got it from digbits. It’s been fine on it and I had it on there with the grader and smaller buckets with no problems at all for 5 years or more. If it’s really hard clay I put the smaller bucket on.
      The 600mm is our most used as the foundations for buildings require that size. (We’re bricklayers)

      @@lovemud100 Yes, that is what i am doing is footings, and like you say they are 600 wide.. Thanks for all the advice!!

      Shouldn't take but a few hours idk I've got a Caterpillar 305 I can dig a hole like that in 15 mins

      David David yeah it would work with that one. Seems to work with all the rotating levels that I’ve tried
