Excellent video and thanks for posting this up. Lots of good information there. I like the 'hands on' nature of your videos where you just get stuck in to them and work the problems as you find them. I find them very inspirational.
I've got a Marchant Figurematic 8DRX coming. I've had a bit of luck getting a Monroe CST8 all working but I fear the Figurematic will be a whole different ball game so wish me luck...

I found an ACR8M pretty much at a dump and I instantly fell in love. I plugged it in and it just went crazy. Finally the top area "register?" moved all the way to the left and now when I plug it in the motor tries to spin but I think it's jammed somewhere... any ideas? I'd love to get this to work. Going through some of your videos I've begun some light disassembly and just got myself comfortable with how everything is working together. I can't get any numbers to clear on the key board dials...
I tried removing the top register but there looks like there is a shoe that holds the register in a specific spot (think like a brake shoe) that's currently engaged holding the register in place. I pulled both rods like in one of your other videos but because those shoes were engaged the top part just wouldn't come off.
There is a black piece that appears to normally hold away a contact to run the motor. But even while off, it's held away from the contact, allowing the motor to engage as soon as I plug it in. Am I right to assume there's definitely something stuck actuating the motor?? Any advice would be AWESOME as I'd love to get this thing working!
