I always feel like I notice Handong more in the Japanese version than in the Korean ones. I know Sunny Visual is more about storytelling than other production companies, but they seem to have this subconscious bias towards using Handong as a set piece, rather than a member, so much so that even if you see her during her own part, she's rarely singing her part. And, since she has so few lines to begin with, it makes her stand out way less than the other members. Even after she came back you'll notice she may be on screen more but she still is rarely singing and when she is the shot is being edited in such a way that is distracting. Like I said, though, I don't think this is an actual bias on Sunny Visual's part, I just think Dongie is the unfortunate victim to their artistic vision.
@@MayDawney Breaking Out is probably one of the best Dongie videos for me, screen time wise, because she's looking into the camera and singing every time she's on.
For sure! It kind of makes sense in that JiU fits the Korean beauty standard the most and she is the oldest/leader, and Dongie is Chinese, which doesn't go over extremely well in SK, but it still totally sucks.
Wow, I feel dumb for not knowing that there was a Japanese version of What. I prefer the song in Korean but like the Japanese MV more.
I'm just happy it exists! 😁🤟🏻
The Japanese version of the video is so good. Like this is how it should have been in the first place. Thanks for making this, May!
Very welcome! I really like the Japanese version too! 😍
Wh- wha weh? I- Mandela/butterfly effect anyone?😭
Trippy, huh? 🤣
@@MayDawney YEAH VERY
I am... so confused..😵💫😵💫😵💫
Hahaha! About what?
@@MayDawney EVERYTHING AAAAAAAHHH
Honestly, I think the Korean version is a little better.
I'm more used to the Korean one, but I like that the Japanese has more Handong 😍
공감합니다 :)
제가 한국인이라서 그런지 한국어버전이 더 좋게 들리네요 😁

I agree with that. I love that Handong gets featured more prominently in the Japanese version of What. The same is not true for Piri, sadly 😢

Also, just because I've been noticing these things lately, Sunny Visual's clear favorite is Jiu.
Breaking Out is a very good video! 😍😍😍

Japanese version of what is better than original lol
I love the Japanese version! But both versions rock! 😍
