At least four to six performances a day I listened too. I don't call it addiction. Since learning of Angelina nearly 3 years ago, the quality of my life has improved dramatically. I, like most people, when listening to a child singer, would say, oh that is cute or wow he/she is quite good for her age. Once I learned about Alma Deutscher (our current day Mozart), who turns 18 tomorrow 2/19/23, and watched the segment on 60 minutes where they emphasized how Alma understood human emotion at a very high level, seemingly from birth. I believe Angelina was given the same gift. Angelina is blessed with a set of skills unlike any other, being able to listen a song and understand the emotion of the story and then sing it in her way to convey that emotion. Angelina has been allowed, thanks to her wise and loving family, to enjoy her childhood and given time to write songs. Since the pandemic began, Angelina has spent time on her school work, and had the opportunity to meet many in the music industry. I have to believe, Republic Records had dozens of original songs to choose from for her first album on their label. Stargate, a top notch production team has been working with her for the past 2.5 years, refining Angelina's songs. All indications are, her album will be released in the near future and a world tour has been mentioned by her mother and by Angelina herself on her lnstagram livestream yesterday. Angelina said she couldn't wait to perform in all the countries. Given all that we know, her album will likely be a watershed album that will change the direction of the music industry.

I actually forgot all about just the basic general education/schoolwork portion of growing up trying to figure out how she had learned all of her music (Jazz is such a layered complicated set of structures compared to most genres) ....I can't imagine how many artists are just waiting to get to work with her.... =)

Here is a quote from Angelina (7y) from an interview with TV2 after her Auditions NTG 2014. "The reason I chose this song is completely random. I love jazz, but" Gloomy Sunday "was random. It was a night I could not sleep and my mother was stressed that I was awake long after midnight. Then I borrowed my mom's iPad where I wanted to listen to jazz on UA-cam before I fell asleep. Then came a picture of a beautiful lady screaming at the sky and with her eyes closed. I heard the song "Gloomy Sunday" that night and then I had to hear it every day. I love the melody. I understood well what the text was about because I know English well. Every time I sang it I felt something special about it, it's hard to explain in words. When I sang it for mom, she said that this song is nice, but that it was incredibly sad song. " ♥👣👸🏻🎷 In a interview after this performance Angelina's mom was asked why she was crying during her performance?? Were they happy tears?? Easily one of the greatest story's about AJ!! In a nut shell, Sara showed the world just how in tune AJ's family was with her and her gift. Imagine seeing your child do something so extraordinary that you immediately recognise that the most precious person in your life now belongs to the world. The family then goes on to protect and nurture her brilliantly!! I love it.

Hi! Thank you for another fine reaction to Angelina. Watching and listening to Angelina sing this song shortly after it was uploaded to UA-cam, just before my 83rd birthday, was my introduction to Angelina. I didn't expect much from a 7-year-old. Just a cute little girl, all nervous, rushing the song in parts, hesitating and then stumbling over, or forgetting, her words and generally acting her age and doing her best to get through a childish song like "Twinkle, twinkle little star". What did I see? Well, it was a seven-year-old child, with wild hair and gaps in her mouth, where there once were baby teeth. And that was when the perception of seeing a "normal" child ended and things turned upside down. She confidently answered the questions put to her by a Judge. Declared she was going to sing a song by the legendary Billie Holiday. Gestured off-stage for the technician to start the music, and then started singing. The body of the 7-year-old was still there, but the voice wasn't. It was that of a 40-year-old black woman with years of experience singing blues and soul. I was surprised then, and that surprise is still with me, some seven years later. I have followed her career since I saw that first video on UA-cam and in the seven years she has been singing publicly she has mastered many musical genres, including Blues, Country, Disco, Jazz, Pop, R&B and Soul, EDM and Rock and covered songs first performed by many famous singers, like Adele, Whitney Houston, Nancy and Frank Sinatra, Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Judy Garland, Lana del Ray, Gloria Gaynor, Andy Williams, Elvis Presley, Louis Armstrong and many others. What is more extraordinary is that she takes ownership of every song she sings while still paying respect to the original. She never goes into unnecessary theatrics. Thank you so much Albert! I don't think I could ever blame a song for a humans final actions... the world was going through hard times and some moods are just reinforced. There is a rasputina song (A quitter) that I cannot listen to very many times in a row because it will absolutely put me into a depressed state and remind me I was in a very very dark place at one time myself. The lyrics to gloomy sunday reflect how it feels when you are questioning the Universe/creator etc in those dark moments. She handled this like a professional with decades of experience... Even seeing AJ in her tiny body here I have a hard time accepting she's only been alive a few years... does that mean you are turning 93 this year? I would love to know some of the things you've seen and experienced during the ride... I went from landlines and a 13 inch black and white tv growing up to being able to talk to humans around the world through a screen in my 43 years...

Every time she brings tears in my eyes cause it is so beautiful. Angelina Jordan ASTAR (the name says it all), this young norwegian genius (here 7 and now 17) is imo the best singer on the planet! I am 70 y old and have never heard a singer like her in my whole life. Her voice touches my heart and cleanses my soul.

Thank you both for your heart felt reaction to our ray of Light i rarely use any social media or post anything for the most part my heart is my communication and the light within it, but Angelina seems to be becoming an exception. I have followed her for a few years now and have listened to everything i can find she is the only artist i listen to apart from some classical music.. For me she is not just the most beautiful voice, she is far more than even she realises, when i first heard her sing Gloomy Sunny and how this came into her life i felt that she released all the negative feelings that have surrounded this song over the years through the purity and the love that she is, the love and joy pours out of her always but is more focused when she sings and in her inner silence, this is her gift to the world and for those that feel it she creates a safe space for them to feel that same light and love that lives within them, and is also theirs. Her timing is always perfect and her being on earth now is no coincidence she is part of a great family of light that includes all those that exist in the octaves of light , those that are on earth like Angelina, her earthly family without whom she couldn't do what she does and her Angels that have opened their hearts and indeed potentially all of humanity if and when they choose it. On days when I really just need to be alone with my thoughts, not even accomplishing anything specific. Did her mother do anything within the art world? I've seen some of her grandmother's art now and understand the influence she had on her. I also read somewhere that her mother was crying because she knew the world had her from that performance...

A few short years after this, when she was 11, she recorded another Billie Holiday classic, I'm A Fool To Want You, for her first album It's Magic. Her grandmother captured a vocal take from the recording and put it up on her channel. It's Angelina's beautiful voice with very soft instrumental background; no effects or elaborate production. A very nice and honest reaction. Angelina once said in an interview that if there was no Billie Holiday, there would be no Angelina Jordan. The jazz greats live within her and she does the best she can to keep them alive all the while taking in the music of today and giving them her twist when she covers them. I haven't been this excited for an artist in such a long long time!

You and Angelina share the same passion! 🥰 A famous Norwegian photographer and artist has done numerous photo shoots of Angelina, and one of my favorites depicts Angelina exactly like the Billie Holiday photo - holding a boxer with a group of flowers in her hair. It’s stunning. I hope you can track it down. 🌺👣❤️
@@grauph1up If I’m not mistaken, the picture of Billie Holiday that you guys posted is Billie’s own boxer. I think the picture of Angelina looks more like a French bulldog (more her size). I’m pretty sure it’s not her dog, but she’s been photographed with a lot of pets/animals. Typical of the empath she is, she’s a lover of all animals (I think).
Very nicely said and appreciated. Angelina is both a joy to watch, as well as one to hear, especially when you know her ambitions are to spread that joy, not to make a lot of money.
Her elimination round was an a capella Billy Holiday song. But I think BANG BANG which she sang at the lives is the definitive version of that song. Even Angelina will never best the combination of her age, the image of a little angel in a bridesmaid dress, and the lyrics.

I used to listen to Billie Holiday a LOT during my college year. In her interview with Heidi Klum before her AGT audition, Angelina confirmed that she won Norway's Got Talent (NGT) when she was 7 (that was her age when she auditioned, 8 by the time the final competition/voting when she won). I was so impressed with her cover of "Bohemian Rhapsody" that I immediately searched YT for her NGT performances. Like you, and a couple of those judges, I had tears in my eyes while listening to Angelina sing. I actually OPENED my eyes expecting to see Billie Holiday standing somewhere on that stage! I've been a fan ever since. Her second song, not publicly aired (I'm guessing it was some sort of a "behind-the-scenes elimination" round) was Billie's "I'm a Fool to Want You," which she sang a cappella. Simply amazing!

Special in no way comes close in describing Angelina Jordan Astar. She is a very private person, and we have little information on what she is thinking, but we know her actions and the way she treats others. We know of the charity events. We have read her words written at six years and nine years of age. We have seen and heard her talking of her Grandmother. We have listened to her sing to her passed family and friends. We hav analyzed the words of her written songs. We honestly do not have words to describe her. Nothing fits. I dare say she is beyond describing. She holds our harts and we are happy to just be.

Try’s at five to audition for Norway’s Got Talent but is told she must be seven. Mother is trying to slow her down but she wants more. She is driven, practicing four to six hours per day six days per week. She is so far beyond other children in her understanding of life. At five she is speaking three languages and is reading English. Think about it.

I didn't see this first. My first experience was with Angelina singing, 'I'm A Fool To Want You' which she sang acapella. That was a life changing experience. Especially since 3 nights earlier I had what I call a religious experience when I stumbled on to Daneliya Tuleshova. I call them 'my twins' because their lives paralleled each other, from my perspective anyway. Both born in 2006 Angelina in January, Daneliya in July. Both possessed voices that belied there age. The video of that audition went viral and put Norway and their Got Talent show on the map, so to speak. At least four to six performances a day I listened too. I don't call it addiction. Since learning of Angelina nearly 3 years ago, the quality of my life has improved dramatically. I, like most people, when listening to a child singer, would say, oh that is cute or wow he/she is quite good for her age. Once I learned about Alma Deutscher (our current day Mozart), who turns 18 tomorrow 2/19/23, and watched the segment on 60 minutes where they emphasized how Alma understood human emotion at a very high level, seemingly from birth. I believe Angelina was given the same gift. Angelina is blessed with a set of skills unlike any other, being able to listen a song and understand the emotion of the story and then sing it in her way to convey that emotion.
Angelina has been allowed, thanks to her wise and loving family, to enjoy her childhood and given time to write songs. Since the pandemic began, Angelina has spent time on her school work, and had the opportunity to meet many in the music industry. I have to believe, Republic Records had dozens of original songs to choose from for her first album on their label. Stargate, a top notch production team has been working with her for the past 2.5 years, refining Angelina's songs. All indications are, her album will be released in the near future and a world tour has been mentioned by her mother and by Angelina herself on her lnstagram livestream yesterday. Angelina said she couldn't wait to perform in all the countries. Given all that we know, her album will likely be a watershed album that will change the direction of the music industry.

It was a night I could not sleep and my mother was stressed that I was awake long after midnight. Then I borrowed my mom's iPad where I wanted to listen to jazz on UA-cam before I fell asleep. Then came a picture of a beautiful lady screaming at the sky and with her eyes closed. I heard the song "Gloomy Sunday" that night and then I had to hear it every day. I love the melody. I understood well what the text was about because I know English well. Every time I sang it I felt something special about it, it's hard to explain in words. Easily one of the greatest story's about AJ!! In a nut shell, Sara showed the world just how in tune AJ's family was with her and her gift. Imagine seeing your child do something so extraordinary that you immediately recognise that the most precious person in your life now belongs to the world. The family then goes on to protect and nurture her brilliantly!! I love it.

Hi! Thank you for another fine reaction to Angelina. Watching and listening to Angelina sing this song shortly after it was uploaded to UA-cam, just before my 83rd birthday, was my introduction to Angelina.
I didn't expect much from a 7-year-old. Just a cute little girl, all nervous, rushing the song in parts, hesitating and then stumbling over, or forgetting, her words and generally acting her age and doing her best to get through a childish song like "Twinkle, twinkle little star". What did I see? Well, it was a seven-year-old child, with wild hair and gaps in her mouth, where there once were baby teeth. And that was when the perception of seeing a "normal" child ended and things turned upside down. She confidently answered the questions put to her by a Judge. Declared she was going to sing a song by the legendary Billie Holiday. Gestured off-stage for the technician to start the music, and then started singing. The body of the 7-year-old was still there, but the voice wasn't. It was that of a 40-year-old black woman with years of experience singing blues and soul. I was surprised then, and that surprise is still with me, some seven years later.
I have followed her career since I saw that first video on UA-cam and in the seven years she has been singing publicly she has mastered many musical genres, including Blues, Country, Disco, Jazz, Pop, R&B and Soul, EDM and Rock and covered songs first performed by many famous singers, like Adele, Whitney Houston, Nancy and Frank Sinatra, Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Judy Garland, Lana del Ray, Gloria Gaynor, Andy Williams, Elvis Presley, Louis Armstrong and many others. What is more extraordinary is that she takes ownership of every song she sings while still paying respect to the original. She never goes into unnecessary theatrics. Never sings those high or low notes unless they are absolutely necessary. Never projects herself in any performance which says "look how good I am". She just sings the song as she feels it is meant to be sung. And I'll add an even more extraordinary item for you to consider, to show how unique she is. She has the innate ability not only to sing a song as emotionally as the song deserves, but to be able to communicate those same emotions to the listener. Thank you so much Albert! I don't think I could ever blame a song for a humans final actions... the world was going through hard times and some moods are just reinforced. There is a rasputina song (A quitter) that I cannot listen to very many times in a row because it will absolutely put me into a depressed state and remind me I was in a very very dark place at one time myself. The lyrics to gloomy sunday reflect how it feels when you are questioning the Universe/creator etc in those dark moments. She handled this like a professional with decades of experience... Even seeing AJ in her tiny body here I have a hard time accepting she's only been alive a few years... does that mean you are turning 93 this year? I would love to know some of the things you've seen and experienced during the ride... I went from landlines and a 13 inch black and white tv growing up to being able to talk to humans around the world through a screen in my 43 years...

Thank you both for your heart felt reaction to our ray of Light i rarely use any social media or post anything for the most part my heart is my communication and the light within it, but Angelina seems to be becoming an exception. I have followed her for a few years now and have listened to everything i can find she is the only artist i listen to apart from some classical music.. For me she is not just the most beautiful voice, she is far more than even she realises, when i first heard her sing Gloomy Sunny and how this came into her life i felt that she released all the negative feelings that have surrounded this song over the years through the purity and the love that she is, the love and joy pours out of her always but is more focused when she sings and in her inner silence, this is her gift to the world and for those that feel it she creates a safe space for them to feel that same light and love that lives within them, and is also theirs.
Her timing is always perfect and her being on earth now is no coincidence she is part of a great family of light that includes all those that exist in the octaves of light , those that are on earth like Angelina, her earthly family without whom she couldn't do what she does and her Angels that have opened their hearts and indeed potentially all of humanity if and when they choose it.

Angelina really is so so very special, and we are blessed to be abel to follow her from like the very beginning (18 months young), and simply follow her through the months and the years, and receiving nothing but more or less lifechanging lovely moments from her music and loving heart. I feel quite sure she will be keeping on touching and move your heart and soul, on a level you might not have expearienced ever before. I might suggest you go for her second part of her "Billie Holiday - tour" as she did her acapela version of BH`s version of "I`m A Fool To Want You". Its a short one, and would love to see you combining it with her recording session of the same song at 11 yo.

It would have been amazing to hear this perfect of a performance from any adult. It's clear how special she was to AJ as well and now I can connect so much deeper to where she came from. I can't imagine how those judges were processing what was going on in front of them live....
I actually never heard of Billie Holiday before stumbling on this performance. I was struck nonetheless~ I could never find any singer that could convey emotions the way she does.

In all these years I have listened to she thousands of times in hundreds of splendid interpretations and yet every time I see this first performance of hers at the age of 7, it makes me move again, like the first time, with that wonderful concentration of humility, simplicity, candor , sympathy and talent. 💛🧡❤

A very nice and honest reaction. Angelina once said in an interview that if there was no Billie Holiday, there would be no Angelina Jordan. The jazz greats live within her and she does the best she can to keep them alive all the while taking in the music of today and giving them her twist when she covers them. I haven't been this excited for an artist in such a long long time!

@@grauph1up If I’m not mistaken, the picture of Billie Holiday that you guys posted is Billie’s own boxer. I think the picture of Angelina looks more like a French bulldog (more her size). I’m pretty sure it’s not her dog, but she’s been photographed with a lot of pets/animals. Typical of the empath she is, she’s a lover of all animals (I think).

I used to listen to Billie Holiday a LOT during my college year. In her interview with Heidi Klum before her AGT audition, Angelina confirmed that she won Norway's Got Talent (NGT) when she was 7 (that was her age when she auditioned, 8 by the time the final competition/voting when she won). I was so impressed with her cover of "Bohemian Rhapsody" that I immediately searched YT for her NGT performances. Like you, and a couple of those judges, I had tears in my eyes while listening to Angelina sing. I actually OPENED my eyes expecting to see Billie Holiday standing somewhere on that stage! I've been a fan ever since. Her second song, not publicly aired (I'm guessing it was some sort of a "behind-the-scenes elimination" round) was Billie's "I'm a Fool to Want You," which she sang a cappella. Simply amazing!

Clearly, I suggest you react to the rest of her NGT performances. The next song is an acapella of a Billie Holiday number. Then there are two more which culminate with George Gershwin's Summertime, that will blow your mind.
No question Angelina is a special soul and not because of just her performing. Giving her shoes to an orphan girl, donating her winnings to children's charities, helping raise over 20 million dollars for charities over the years, and pledging that her career goal is to sing all over the world to spread love and peace. This has to be protected and nurtured because the world needs her now! One more tidbit of information is that it seems her new album of originals is going to be released very soon. Fingers crossed!

Special in no way comes close in describing Angelina Jordan Astar. She is a very private person, and we have little information on what she is thinking, but we know her actions and the way she treats others. We know of the charity events. We have read her words written at six years and nine years of age. We have seen and heard her talking of her Grandmother. We have listened to her sing to her passed family and friends. We hav analyzed the words of her written songs. We honestly do not have words to describe her. Nothing fits. I dare say she is beyond describing. She holds our harts and we are happy to just be.

I know you have learned much more about Angelina. Consider that two and three Angelina was scrolling through UA-cam for hours finding Jazz and R & B artists to listen to. Tells her Mother she wants to sing on that Simon show at three. Enters school at four and by five is studying music theory. Try’s at five to audition for Norway’s Got Talent but is told she must be seven. Mother is trying to slow her down but she wants more. She is driven, practicing four to six hours per day six days per week. She is so far beyond other children in her understanding of life. At five she is speaking three languages and is reading English. Think about it.

I didn't see this first. My first experience was with Angelina singing, 'I'm A Fool To Want You' which she sang acapella. That was a life changing experience. Especially since 3 nights earlier I had what I call a religious experience when I stumbled on to Daneliya Tuleshova. I call them 'my twins' because their lives paralleled each other, from my perspective anyway. Both born in 2006 Angelina in January, Daneliya in July. Both possessed voices that belied there age. You just heard Angelina's audition I am giving you a link to Daneliya's blind audition for The Voice Kids Ukraine in 2017. So in total I am giving you 2 links. One for Angelina and the other for Daneliya. Please listen to the whole audition of Daneliya's. You hear a lot of valuable information. She is asked to do an encore and I mean an encore. Haha Criz =,D I still convince myself there's about 3 people watching when we record =,D I keep teasingly telling Nerdmuma she's an international UA-camr now =,D (Our staple of visual consumption is mostly people reacting to things we love, anime series etc so it's very weird being on the other side of the screen in that sense...
