never drop single anchor as they destroy the seabed and are unsafe by having to reset, and never in the night or without snorkeling. rather drop 3 or 4 HIGH HOLDING anchors around the boat with a dinghy and freediving to help set them by hand with a fluke angle adjusted for the floor type and moor the boat perpendicular to the coast to face wave difraction
