Could dribble, play make, score, shoot 3’s and mid ranges, was athletic, was nearly 7 foot and 280lbs, was a great defender too. Would constantly have 40-50-60 point games with 20-30 rebounds. He was unstoppable.
Sergio Next on the perimeter his last few years with the Kings and on NOLA were pretty solid, dont let the GSW perimeter defense from him fool you he could barely move because he was stiff from the injury. Cousins is a great defender in the post though
Really happy seeing all of us coming together to give Demarcus his respect - dude was such a unit... So so so tragic that he had that injury he never fully recovered from. Wish the NBA gave him the same respect we did through the years.
EJABBALL I honestly thought this would be a perfect fit and season for him the dude still averaged 16 and 8 on the warriors with all those other scoring options
Cousins injury was one of the worst for basketball fans because he was such a unique player. No other player in the league has his combination of size, strength, agility and ball skills. He was so fun to watch. Maybe he can get back. Here’s hoping.
Sad to see his career be negatively affected by injury, but one of the most fun players I've watched in my life. From Kentucky to his last days in Golden State, he was a baller. Wish nothing but the best
Clipper fan since 2012 true, dude was considered the best C and then his career was going downhill with injuries. He might’ve been a legend who knows but cousins was very hard to stop and was versatile, he could literally do it all on the floor
This man was one of the first bigs who was able to shoot, really paved the way and inspired other big men to work on their jumper, sad he has to end up like the Tracy McGrady of this era. No one deserves both an Achilles tear and an ACL injury individually, let alone he has to deal with both. Prayers up for Cousins man smh.
Peter Smith if he never had any injuries absolutely he woulda been hall of fame idk anymore but there have been much worse players then a healthy boogie
Cousins was unstoppable... I hope he is healthy next season so we can see some more of this! Really sad when players get taken out of play for so long with injuries.
really miss him man he is the only franchise player ive been able to witness in my 18 years of living as a kings fan. wish he had better team mates cause he wouldve been respected so much more
DeMarcus Cousin is the best player I have ever seen with my two eye balls. He could literally do it all. On top of that, he was constantly being doubled and tripled team on a nightly basis. I’m talking about EVERY NIGHT he was DOUBLED teamed and TRIPLED team! And he would still average like 25! (fact check) Even I strongly blame the Kings association and referees for making it hard on Boogie every night. Although his raw talent didn’t get him to the play offs, i still appreciate everything that he has brought to the Kings association and the Sacramento Community !
Facts fam. I feel like we NBA fans were robbed that year cuz the Pels could've done some SERIOUS damage in the playoffs! I hope that maybe they can get stem cell treatments going or something cuz I'm tired of seeing players go out like this.......
That dunk at the end laying out Kuzma is when Kuz was more focused on basketball than IG... he would not be afraid of shooting or taking a hit. Now... looks like boogie slapped all the talent out of kuzma.
This is why Shaq didnt have the same injury even though they have almost similar body. Cousins can go court to court having the ball in his hands while Shaq just doing regular post up plays.
Before the day that people consistently accepted the play style of Jokic, Towns, and Joel Embiid, we have to admit that it was prime Boogie the one who firstly brought these things into the league.
He should recover slowly with no pressure, to come back stronger and then go back to the KINGS! They have a bright future with a amazing young core. Probably a Championship contender in the next 3-5 years. Mark my words. Boogie is just 29 and if he learn how to treat his body right for his age and his limits, he still has a few years to play. Everyone and their mom miss Kings-Boogie. He could be a really important part of a future winning kings-team, help them grow and maybe he get a Ring in his last active days with SAC. Imagine that.. What a great story that would be...
How quickly they forget.. Best big man by far if healthy, can bully ANYONE in the league. Used to stay until late night (I live in Europe), to see him play in SAC and drop 40 or 50 every other game. Then the amazing season in NOLA where he had some 45/25/10 nights. Man.. And he turned 29 just now, having sat out nearly 2 years from his injuries. Imagine what tf could've been this year, with him, AD, Rondo and Bron in LA, damn. They all forget so quickly, just what happened with DRose or John Wall, or anybody having a major injury..
He literally can do everything more then we'll he better then a lot of big men past and present,he's really one of a kind to watch play the game 6'11 like 275/80 something..smh pure problem
Despite his antics, temper and injuries, Boogie is the most skilled center next only to Jokic. That combination of size, strength, shooting, shot-blocking, ball handling, post game, and passing is very rare.
Cousins was crazy. But don't allow people to say he wasn't one of the most talented offensive bigs ever. Literarly ever. Post moves,shooting,passing,dribbling...he had everything. Wild out there at times but if he had the right veterans from the start, the right team...this dude could've been a hall of famer player becasue he did have hall of fame talent. I remember watching Warriors vs Kings and thinking to myself '' this dude is unreal '' . One random game where it clicked for me.
His dribbling is what opened up his offense. Bigs usually need to be fed while posting up to get in their spot, Cousins could dribble himself into his scoring positions which made it hard to contain his offense and more importantly it made it hard to double team him. You can’t double a guy who doesn’t really need to post up to score
Could dribble, play make, score, shoot 3’s and mid ranges, was athletic, was nearly 7 foot and 280lbs, was a great defender too. Would constantly have 40-50-60 point games with 20-30 rebounds. He was unstoppable.
great defender? not on the perimeter lol

he was like a 2 or 3-time all-star
@@jmonsterclockmaster420 Eventually, and the first was only because the commissioner stepped in.
