Good stuff. High bar for a simple song (more baggage than Graham Chapman's squire), and I think you mostly hit it. I kinda felt the pain in the instrumentation but the vocal line didn't really catch fire until halfway into the second verse. "New Dawn Fades" is essentially the preface to a real-life suicide note, and it should make the tears well up, you know? Violin was a nice touch.

Agreed. This is a brilliant version of the Joy Division song, thanks for recommending it to me. The JD original sounds bleak and sparse, this one is more embellished and the musicians are wonderful.

A real challenge to cover such a seminal track, but by God you breathed new life into this masterpiece. The prominent violin is inspired, echoes of The Sisters of Mercy, drumming is tight. Loving this interpretation.

What I found sounds cool is on a 6 string bass holding down the string you usually would hold down and also the one above it. It adds a certain depth to the sound that one string doesn't.

There is an eerieness to this song that makes it very alluring, but at the same time, I can't help but think if there was a heavier element to it, more aggressive sound, aggressive vocals, would really bring out the depth of this song.
