I just bought these today,I tried zero gapping them but is it normal for the blade to move?(I turn them off and they move a bit over from where I left them)but go back to normal
Does it matter where the clipper teeth sit in regards to the horizontal setting when zero gapping ? If you don’t know what i mean, basically, the bottom part of the clipper which you zero gap too, do you need to line them up in a way where the individual teeth at the end of the blade sit in line with the bottom teeth in a certain way or can you just sit them anywhere ?
I just got some of these earlier this year. And they get way too hot and stiff when adjusting the blade. Kept it oil and everything don’t know what else to do
Outstanding “Let’s get into the video” instead of time wasted in flaunt, plus very informative video. I believe out of box, lever fully closed is equivalent to a 000 blade, wonder what zero gap equivalent would be?
I cannot zero gap mine it’s perfect then i tighten it the blade moves evertime and one other thing the lever is a bit flimsy feels like it bends when I push it forward and back oh and the cord is hard to push in I know I will break the 2 pins on the charging cable just a matter of time
I personally like the magic clips better than the seniors, the seniors do have more power but it’s something ab the magic clips that makes them better for me
watch comparison videos. senior has more power + standard blades. magic has less power + alternate tooth under blade for better fades. both blades can be changed later.
The seniors are a strong clipper and can take bulk out easy, but if i were to chose between them I’d go with the magic clips, i have both and use both but the magic clips just works way better for me when it comes to fading, i only use the seniors when taking out bulk
The only little thing I don’t like is that you can’t fully zero gap them. Or I take that back you can zero gap them but the problem is for some reason with Wahl’s metal case on their clippers like metal magic clip, 1919, the seniors. On the back of the clipper when you close it completely if you watch closely it dips in on one side. And when you open it fully after zero gapping it.. it’s off center. I’m OCD and I’m a perfectionist I can tell it’s a millimeter off when fully opened. Then when you close it if you notice closely it moves in further on one side. I wish wahl would fix this with their metal frames. My magic clips and my sterling 4s dont do that they stay perfectly even all the way open and all the way closed. So I use my magic clips and sterlings with stagger blades and zero gapped very closely and the senior I keep it not quite zero and use it for bulk removal. Then use magic and sterling to get bald lines out and for blending/ fading.
Had my seniors for a quite bit and it never did this until I tried zero gapping it, now It always dips from one side to another every time I close or open them, how can I get it to go back to normal and stay at center? I’ve tried undoing the zero gap but it keeps happening
When you zero gap your Clipper hold the blade with your other hand before you screw on the screws, if you just screw them back on without holding the blade down hard, the blade will move
Yes bring them back. It is faulty. I had the same problem with mine and thought I was going crazy. The blade was so loose and uneven despite adjusting numerous times. I searched through comments on the internet to see of it is a common issue and it is. It's just bad quality control by Wahl and hopefully they sort this out!
Also to add, it seems like this issue is only on wahl cordless taper lever models with metal back housing - Wahl seniors, Metal Magic Clips, 1919's... Avoid them! For now anyway until they fix it.
Great video. Short and sweet. Nice overview of product and how to easily zero gap clippers! Appreciate this a lot.

Do these clippers open up full into a #1?? someone said that they didnt and these are my only clippers

My wahl magic clip goes from 0.8mm to 2.4mm. If i zero gap Will IT not go to 2.4mm When the lever is fully Open?

Very helpful 😃
Outstanding “Let’s get into the video” instead of time wasted in flaunt, plus very informative video. I believe out of box, lever fully closed is equivalent to a 000 blade, wonder what zero gap equivalent would be?
Negative. Out of the box is .025. Zero gapping is more like.005 because if you put them at 000 you would cut yourself/clients.
I zero gapped my seniors
So more or less any one know the exact cutting length is achieved?
I'm thinking maybe 0.5mm?
I cannot zero gap mine it’s perfect then i tighten it the blade moves evertime and one other thing the lever is a bit flimsy feels like it bends when I push it forward and back oh and the cord is hard to push in I know I will break the 2 pins on the charging cable just a matter of time
I wanna get the magic clip cordless for traveling and the senior corded as a secondary clipper, or do you think is better vice-versa
I'd go vice versa
I personally like the magic clips better than the seniors, the seniors do have more power but it’s something ab the magic clips that makes them better for me
I get my seniors tomorrow 😈
Giá bao nhiêu vậy anh?Thanks
Is it the same with a plug? With the wahl seniors
Yessir
Sooo annoying because I always zero gap my clippers. The senior however cuts the guards if you zero gap them😑
Do you guys think the magic clip is good too, for home haircut ? Or the senior
Magic clips are one of my favorite clippers so I’d go with the magic clips
watch comparison videos. senior has more power + standard blades. magic has less power + alternate tooth under blade for better fades. both blades can be changed later.
should i start cutting hair with my only clipper zero gapped or not?
Yes, I’d say zero gap all your tools
What should I get bro the magic clips or seniors ? I’ve been told the seniors are the best cordless clippers out right now.
Get the seniors bro
Jedanyze Campbell will do bro. As far as trimmers go what should I get as well ?

BryanBlendz alright cool. What about for trimmers ?
Probably some andis t-outliners
I put my finger over it like u did but it didnt cut me but I put the top of the 2 blades against my arm n it cut me did I zero gap wrong?
Yes, put the cutting blade a bit lower, sometimes you won’t get it in the first try
It shouldn’t cut you at all
M
Si u have to have it even with each other?
Yessir
Is it the same process for the corded version bro ?
Yessir
BryanBlendz thx bro I just zero gapped mine rn 🔥💯🔥
Glad i could help bro!
@@marcosarriola8152 did they cut better ?
@@aroanramirez4177 no the same cutting, just gets rid of the bald line way easier
I’m barely starting, is it necessary to zero gap it?
I would, easier to take the first guideline out, which clippers do you have? I can do a video on how to zero gap it if you don’t know how
@@bryanblendz I'm glad i read this, I was having some trouble removing the first guideline. I hope zero gapping helps

I got my seniors today and noticed it dips on one side too. For a second I thought they got dropped or something

I’ve done that, but as the above comment said every time I’d open or close the lever it goes off center, not sure why this is, never use to do it
@@og.bravoo3829 you have the lever all the way closed while you’re zero gapping it right?
How comes yours has a cream lever and writing? Mines UK but it's white writing with a black lever
The one i have with the tan lever is the latest one that came out, the one with the black lever is the first cordless seniors that came out
BryanBlendz ohh I get you thanks bro. Is there much difference between the two? It's hard to get those things here especially right now
If you have the first one there shouldn’t be any reason to go to the one i have if the one you have works good, pretty much all the same thing bro
Am I the only one with these machines with uneven blades when lever is all the way open and even when closed?
Keep trying til you get it to where it’s even when it’s closed and open

I bought 2 of them and they were both like that.
Wahl customer service didn’t reply.

@@Romans_116 I bought mine off ebay and returned them right away to seller. I didn't go through Wahl but keep trying, they should accept it as faulty.
I needed glasses for half of the presentation.
you find them?
